The location is beautiful and staff were very friendly. Rooms and general ambiance is great.

The hotel pitches itself as a resort for sports/active guests, but charges guests 800 KSH a day for use of gym facilities. I understand for yoga, water sports, or if you want to make use of a trainer but find it very unusual for guest to pay an additional fee for simply accessing the gym.

Breakfast was excellent, lots of variety. Brand new Gym is top of the line (I had to pay to access the gym but they changed the policy after my complaint and now should be free for guests. Easy access to Lichthaus.Bed was comfy with many pillows.

The monkeys are everywhere and a real nuisance during breakfast. Hotel should provide an indoor space for breakfast because it is really stressful and takes away from enjoying the otherwise great breakfast.

We enjoyed our 2-night stay and mainly due to the exceptional service and recommendations we got from Kevin front office. Our highlight was the half day to Mida creek and lunch on sudi island. Thanks to Kevin for recommending that.

Temple point was great! Lovely staff and very easy and helpful with whatever you need. Eunice was fantastic and organising and sorting questions I had before we got there and sorting us when we got there. We had a beautiful honeymoon package with a romantic meal which was amazing. Jackeline was our main waitress and she was fantastic she undertsood my dietry needs, I have coeliac disease and this makes it hard for me to eat places, temple point sorted me the head chef mark to sort my meals as I could eat from the buffet, this was amazing his food was perfect and safe and made my life south easier so thank you Mark! The room was lovely, great air con, WiFi and beautiful setting, would highly recommend and is safe for gluten free just contact them prior

We didn't like that hotel guests had to pay 2000 kes to get in to the bar on the beach and then if you didn't spend exactly that on the date you didn't get it back if you spent more you had the get another 2000 kes voucher made no sense, the bar was very loud on new years until 5am which was understandable because its new years but 5am is abit much or maybe prewar the guests that are nearer and can hear the bar

The seaside bar is incredible!! The most perfect place to relax with good food (some Vegan options) and drinks. The swimming pools is wonderful and so is the additional beach. The bedroom was beautiful. Bed was relatively comfy.

Half board dinner and breakfast options had to be eaten in the main resturant. There was no atmosphere sadly and very limited vegan options. No vegan starter and dessert options.

Great location, nice property. Management has done some renovations since our last visit which has really added value to the place. Large pool, ocean access, easy to reach.

Monkeys in the open roof running on dusty rails right above the buffet food is hygienically not great and made us abstain from not covered dishes. And our room did not have all the items mentioned on the list of booking.com such as hairdryer or tv

Location lovely. Easy access to the beach and beautiful chill spots all around the resort. Breakfast was a good spread and cocktails at lichthaus at sunset were an amazing add.

During the rain it rained all over my room. Waking up at 6am to a wet bed and floor was not ideal.

I loved the location, the ambience and the meals at the main restaurant (not at the lichthouse).

I was looking forward to experience the lichthouse but my experience with the staff wasn't good. On the first day, we were served with fries from the last day, and king prawns that were not fresh. I complained and requested to speak with the in-charge to no avail. The staff (except Pendo) weren't friendly or helpful at all. The prices ere also too exbortitant.

The location is quite and access to the beach was easy from my room ..Pool is always clean and they have amazing staff working there ..Stephen was quite helpful with questions that I had regarding excursions organized by the hotel and assisting me while there …Loved my stay .Huge thanks to the waitress at the restaurant (They were friendly)

Bathroom was extremely small and water spills everywhere when showering ..

Amazing location with incredible views and very quiet, a bit outside of the noises of Watamu. All the hotel is full of beautiful trees and a lot of green spaces. Our room had direct view and access (little beach in front of the room) on the Mida creek. Overall, it felt like on a paradise island (even though it’s obviously not on a island). The facilities of the hotel are great and well maintained. The yoga classes during sunrise or sunset on the yoga deck were perfect, with an amazing teacher. Fitness space is well equipped and modern. In general, the hotel is a very good place for a stay in Watamu. The staff is very attentive to our needs. Breakfast is good.

Dinner buffet is expensive compare to all the restaurants in Watamu. The room was not so clean, the hallway light bulb was missing but nobody replaced it, the shower curtain not long enough so every time we would take a shower, the entire bathroom was full of water and the safe-deposit box was not closing. We booked a table at the Lichthaus, as advised by the staff. But when we arrived, our reservation was not taken and we didn’t not have any space. The spa was closed for renovation when we were there and they didn’t tell us before, a bit disappointing since we didn’t know before checking in. Those are just a few details that if fixed, would make the experience entirely perfect.
