The on-site restaurant was a definite plus as we checked in around 8p and without the on-site restaurant, would have difficulty finding food in the area. Room was big. Clean establishment. and nice hot breakfast served buffet style.

The decor is definitely dated, so is the bathroom. It is clean though. Our room was on the first floor so we had to lug our luggage up a flight of stairs to our room. One window faces the Main Street which coincidentally is having some road work done so it was a bit of an unsightly mess.

Small cosy motel with great bed, jacuzzi, nice bathroom and tiny but useful kitchenette. Generally, it had a bit its time (and that's the reason to find this great old-school radio at the bed table!) We were really glad to find a night stand in the middle of nowhere, driving through New Zealand landscapes.

Maybe it would be nice to renovate some surfaces in the bathroom and to add a simple coffee machine.

Location was the key for us so handy for day trips.

Panicked when we arrived and there was no Distinction Hotel signage we were not advised by booking.com they had taken over the Heritage Hotel. No seating to relax and shower over bath should have had a rubber bath mat to stand on while showering. The bath was very slippery. For the price could do with a little TLC.

Large comfortable rooms with balconies, and easy access to the township. Each room had a queen bed and also a single, so very good for a family group.

Slightly noisy from both the courtyard and the road. Not troublesome though. The breakfast was reasonable and was included in the room rate.

Good location on main route and well managed and efficient.

Not much. We received a very warm welcome in the restaurant and the food was excellent. We would have liked a dessert and another drink but we were rather ignored because of the arrival of a large party. So we left a little disappointed. This was a shame as initial impressions were so good.

Upon arrival I was originally given a room on the 1st floor that smelt a bit funny and was too small to install the portable cot I brought for our baby; but reception was very helpful and moved us to a much larger room on the ground floor that was very good: spacious, clean, etc. The restaurant served good food.

Location great, nice restaurant/pub across the road. Four square around the corner. Room big and clean. Bed very comfortable, pillow too firm for me but found another softer one in the wardrobe after struggling for a few hours at night.

First room they gave us keys for had not been cleaned from previous guests so they moved us from ground floor to upstairs which was annoying as we had to lug heavy suitcases up the stairs.

Good location, a few eateries around, with supermarket. Clean, and prompt response from the staff.

Left a book in hotel and only told to phone again the next day as housekeeper were off, time was like 4.30pm ish. But I need to go down to Queenstown the same day. No other help was offered.

Food was nice although my pork chops were overcooked . Staff exceptionally nice . Room is amazing nice and roomy great beds clean as a whistle

The tough pork chop would have been better cooked slowly as in casserole type cooking with pork crackling separate.
