The location was really cool. Loved being away from the city/any lights. The facilities are simple but all you need. There was lots of room and multiple elements for cooking and a great variety of utensils and a fabulous pan. The owners were so so lovely and really kind. All the other staying there were so awesome as well. Really chill spot and served us well.
The only thing I could suggest is the kitchen to supply oil salt and pepper for cooking. We didn't really end up needing it. But would be a nice and easy thing to supply.

This is basically a caravan parked near the fast flowing river. Its very comfortable and there is no one around. however, you can easily walk around some bushes and be on the road again. This accomodation gives you the luxury of quiet spaceto just think - a rare commodity. Beautiful unique quilts and artwork on the walls, not shown on the bookings photos. There is even a coffee pot for the stove.
A very minor item: pumping the drinking water into the kitchen. Please just leave 5ltr of water in bottles. Otherwise perfect escape from civilization.

Checking in with Tim and Jeva was superbly easy and pleasant. They have an EFTPOS machine that would make checking in more convenient too. They were really kind in allowing us to wander around their property and play with their dogs a bit. Sheets are changed with every new visitor.
Would be great if there were a few more spotlights to show the way when we walk to the toilet at night, though usually should not be an issue with a mobile phone flashlight. Depending on your neighbours, they might snore pretty loud with the sound travelling to your room which isnt quite the accommodation's fault i suppose.

This is a very unique and memorable place to stay--in converted sheepherders' huts. We were given a lovely hut for a couple, which was very warm and cozy. There were also a number of backpackers rooms. Kitchen was very appreciated. Showers nice and hot. And it's a good stopover if you are cycling over the Lindis Pass
Nothing. But it is a rustic site by definition.

Nice warm blankets, peaceful place, heating in rooms, towels provided
Had some wifi struggles (but maybe it was just my phone?) which was unfortunate because One NZ barely has service there. Bathroom and kitchen are not in the same building as bedrooms so gotta leave the warmth to go shower and pee :( small fridge, thin walls

At 1st was bit of a panic but once I got bath lite, make sure the individual taps are closed b4 you turn in main gas drum! and approx 2 hrs later had great bath under the stars!! make sure u put plenty water in as the wooden slats makes you lot higher than normal. Bed was fantastic, best sleep ever, Heater, just one quick push of the on and off button to work it. long push confuses it. would definitely stay again, and I am not a camper. for anyone who is, you will love it.

The units are arranged like a little frontier town which gave it a great character. Very well stocked kitchen with many pots, pans, and plunger, possibly the best stocked shared kitchen we encountered in all of NZ. Washing machine available. Comfortable bed at a great price point.

It’s the best deal you’ll find anywhere. Very basic and rustic but Comfortable and clean and does the job. Excellent wifi connection despite being in the middle of nowhere. A great hopping off point for day trips to lakes. Amazing star gazing at night!
It got a little chilly at night. Couldn’t figure out how to put the heater on. Very warm bedding though.

Great scenery, kitchen facilities were great, liked the fact you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, plenty of outside tables and chairs, showers had great pressure, not too big, so not to many other people around. Great value for money
Trucks were noisy, hot water was extremely hot, but was relaxing and great value for money!
