I spent 4 days in Blue Elephant Boutique Hotel My room was lovely Very spacious and very clean and my bed was very comfortable The staff are really nice and very accommodating Jaan on reception is so sweet and so very helpful with everything plus all the other staff too The hotel is absolutely amazing and very unique in it's Sri Lanka design The Sri Lanka breakfast was delicious Thankyou so much to you all I shall be back before I leave Sri Lanka 😊

It was raining most of the time I was there therefore I had no hot water in my bathroom because they have solar panels which was the only downfall

The people who worked there were so friendly. I’d like to give a big shout out to Subash, Eranga and Nishara for being amazing and kind and taking care of me really well. I forgot to let them know that I was allergic to pineapple so they went out of their way to make sure I got juice without pineapple in it. They were always so pleasant and friendly and they made my stay very memorable. The food was also very good. I really enjoyed all the meals I had there and personally I believe the food at Blue Elephant was better than the food at a 5 star hotel we had a meal at. The rooms were nice and clean and the beds were comfortable.

There wasn’t a lot of hot water because it’s solar energy but this was just a minor inconvenience.

Staff go over and above for you. So so friendly and happy. Room is so much larger than it looks and bed is so comfy. AC works well. Room is painted by hand and decor is so sweet. Tusk restaurant is very good food and reasonable price. Jolly mango next door is massive portions and very good also. 10 mins walk to beach and shops.

Breakfast was a bit meh and could be improved. Water refill could be added to avoid all plastic bottle waste. WiFi was good when it worked but constantly cut out. There's a 3% charge to use card which is unnecessary.

Stayed here for a couple of night just to acclimatise really. Felt very welcome from the outset - very chilled relaxed vibe. Lovely big room with fabulous private balcony and the staff were amazing . Perfect location - easy walking distance to the beach and plenty of restaurants close by plus only 20 minutes from the airport. Negombo itself was a revelation, really enjoyed our time there. 5* treatment from all the staff .

Great small boutique hotel. We stayed 2 nights before heading out in Sri Lanka which was perfect - the hotel does a tasty Sri Lankan breakfast if you ask for it, clean pool, friendly staff, hot shower and nice rooms! There is a restaurant in the hotel, one around the corner and many a short walk away near the beach. The staff also let us check in a couple hours earlier which we were really grateful for after a long flight! Recommended.

I was probably the nicest hotel we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. The room was very big, had a terrace, garden access and beutiful interior design. We ate all our meals in the hotel restaurant and we were very satisfied (breakfast wasn't the biggest, but still very tasty). We spent time by the pool, which was very clean; the staff provided pool towels. The staff was very helpful and welcoming, they also organised a tuk tuk to the airport for us.

Everything was fine.

They were very attentive and accomodating, we arrived in Sri Lanka at 3:30am and they helped us sort a transfer - although would’ve been cheaper to get a taxi which there are plenty of but we didn’t know that! The rest of the stay at blue elephant was wonderful, amazing staff, beautiful place, great pool and delicious food. The room was so comfortable with AC and a balcony. Really a great start to the trip. We will be back :)

Airport transfer was more expensive than expected

Hotel in beautiful local style. Very good for families: nice pool, big and clean room (we stayed in a family room for 4). Dinner at the restaurant was delicious with local food. Great price-quality for hotel and restaurant. We would recommend the place definitly!

For our kids there was no possiblity to select options for breakfast. Hotel is in walking distance from main road and beach, but way is through narrow & dark (at night) streets.

We finished our trip here and it was a calm oasis in Negombo. The staff were friendly and attentive, the rooms have been well decorated and the pool is lovely to relax in. The staff can provide pool towels and sunbed cushions for you. The hotel is a short walk from some shops, restaurants and the main beach, but the hotel also has its own restaurant and the pool is much nicer than the beach!

The lighting in the room was a bit dark.

Beautifully decorated boutique hotel with nice furniture, lovely staff, comfortable & large room, big balcony, AC & fan, coffee & tea in the room, large bathroom, located 5-10min walk from main road with more restaurants and shops, swimming pool, nice restaurant.

The yard could have some more plants and trees, especially swimming pool area. The breakfast was good but a bit basic.
