We liked everything! - Barbara is a fantastic host. She immediately welcomed us, made sure we liked our room, and gave us useful recommendations not only for where to go in Florence, but also for the rest of our trip in Tuscany. - The room was very comfortable and quiet and had all the amenities (including some nice soaps and shampoo bottles from Greece :D) - The breakfast was great, especially the homemade cakes and fresh juices. - The location is very convenient, at the centre of Florence. You can go anywhere on foot. We would love to visit Florence (and Residenza Villino) again!

There was nothing we didn't like.

The breakfast room itself was cheerful, clean and comfortable. Barbara made the most interesting and delicious Italian cakes daily for breakfast, not to mention eggs, bacon, toast, fruit, juices, roasted vegetables, cold cuts, cheeses and coffee. The residenza was built in 1493 and yet very well maintained and comfortable. We had lively conversations with other guests and Barbara as well. She was so helpful and gave us recommendations for restaurants and museums to see. She even called an English speaking doctor for me since I was having a lot of neck and arm pain. I loved staying in Florence.

This B&B has that something extra that makes it special, and more than just a nice place to stay. It is very peaceful and cheery. The homemade breakfast in the courtyard was one of the highlights of our time in Florence. The staff are exceptionally friendly, warm, and responsive. We especially appreciated our conversations with Barbara, the owner and proprietor, who provided lots of recommendations. She now feels like a friend. We would love to come back to this place some day.

The owners, Barbara and her husband are amazing. They will bend over backwards for you, have great recommendations and are terrific people. The room was clean, comfortable, nicely appointed and air conditioned. We even had a view of the Duomo’s dome. Barbara loves to bake and makes the most delicious cakes which she serves at breakfast. My favorite was the ricotta with candied citrus peel which is from her hometown.

Liked everything

We stayed in the family apartment. The apartment was wonderful and renovated in style, one can feel and see the history. Breakfast was superb with home baked treats and the cappuccino was made to order. Location was within the walking distance to everything essential, including the Duomo. Parking was at the nearby parking garage, only a few minutes away. Hop on- hop off sightseeing bus stop is very close if that's what you're planning to do. Everything was great!

The B&B was lovely, with a beautiful garden courtyard for breakfast and a perfect, central location to all sights we set out to visit. The breakfast was lovely, all homemade and really exquisitely prepared, presented, varied and beautiful ! The owner was so caring and helpful when we were attempting to navigate this new & beautiful city. She couldn’t have been any more helpful and accommodating. Her husband was wonderful, too.

Extremely friendly & helpful owner, Barbara, who made us feel at home during our short 2 night stay. Delicious breakfast with homemade cakes. Perfect location made everything walkable. Many locked doors that separate the common area and access to the rooms, felt safe.

Our air conditioning unit in our room did not work very well which resulted in having to leave our windows open being this was cooler and the mosquitoes were quite active.

Our hostess was exceptional - nothing was too much trouble. Location cannot be bettered. Room had good heating (which was needed in a chilly February. The building is an original 'Residenza' one of the old Florentine properties - it felt like a privilege to visit it.

Room didn't have a kettle which we had thought was standard everywhere. Check which room you book as there are different amenities. Due to time of visit, couldn't have breakfast outside, but at 3 degrees, inside best

The host Barbara is a very lovely lady who takes time to get to know her guests and makes one feel at home. She makes delicious breakfast that includes freshly made coffee and wide selection of food. The place is excellent in proximity to all the "must see" attractions in the heart of Florence while still tucked away from the busy streets. This beautiful B&B really takes you back in time with it's old walls, steel gates and cute courtyard.

We loved that this boutique hotel was in a quiet location, yet walking distance to all of the prime Firenze attractions. The grounds of the hotel are rustic and intimate. Barbara at the front desk treated us like family instantly and demonstrated the utmost care. Hospitality was top-notch. She even made us yummy chocolate cappuccinos in the morning! The hotel breakfast was buzzing every morning with glorious Italian goodies, fruits, eggs, and everything we needed. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here for our honeymoon and looking forward to coming back!
