Location nearby the station and the centre was great. Staff was really friendly. Got an early check-in. Great value for money.
The room was a bit too hot. Didn't see a way to decrease the temperature.

We liked the hotel close proximity to Fort William town centre and train station because we were there to travel on the Jacobite train to Mallaig. There are various restaurants in the town serving locally caught sea food at reasonable prices. The hotel was very clean generally, our room was in the original building and looked out over well kept gardens to Loch Linnhe. The bedding and en-suite bathroom were spotless! The receptionist was very welcoming and helpful as were the breakfast staff.
The hotel is very much serving tour bus tourism hence there are always large tour groups moving through the hotel especially in the breakfast room. This did lead to crowding between 7am-9am ahead of bus departure times.

I arrived late and exhausted with a muddy bike and huge rucksack. I was given a warm welcome and everyone was super kind and friendly. As per pre-arranged agreement, I stored my bike in their meeting room and given a bonus late check out. As I went to take my bike and lock it for the 7 hour wait until my train, staff reassured me saying 'no, your bike will be safer here' and let me leave my bike and large backpack with them all day. And they propped open the main doors in readiness to make life a little easier for me. Really, really appreciated. The team deserves their great reputation Also, I had A STUNNING view across the water. Money can't buy beauty straight from my bedroom window 😍

I stayed in room 212 and it was spotless. Size of the room was very decent. The window opened a couple of inches for fresh air. Window did not face the road and so i experienced no sound of cars. I had everything i needed for a comfortable stay. TV, tea facilities (receptionists are always warm and helpful and gave me extra milk, teas and sugars when I asked). The corridors are a nice cosy temperature and did not smell. Zero chance of feeling cold as the room had a working radiator which worked on the maximum setting and an additional portable heater inside the cupboard just in case. Hotel is located centrally, and is literally across the street from the train station and morrisons supermarket as well as a few mins from the high street. My bathroom had a show/bath combo and the shower was powerful and was able to stay consistently hot. Nice clean towels and I liked that there is a nice big sink with a very large mirror in the bedroom opposite the bed which meant I didn't have to go to the bathroom every time I needed to use the tap. Bed was also comfortable and the pillows were the best I've ever laid my head on (like sleeping on lovely puffy marshmellows, which moulded around my neck and shoulders perfectly). The room is presently as basic, but it's very cosy and felt homely to me which I really liked. Rceptionists were just lovely and kind. No mold anywhere and the bathroom was exceptionally clean. I really liked the late check in and checkout, great for checking in after my long walks and a long lazy lie in the day after. Definitely staying here again!
Furniture looked a little dated, such as the drawers, a little bit round the bathtub and the carpet shows wear around the edges, no holes in the middle of the carpet - I didn't consider any of these things major and they didn't detract from my stay. If a stylish, modern looking room is what you need this isnt it. What you will get is a humble, cosy, comfortable room that you il felt immediately at home in. No air con but I stayed at the beginning of August and it was pouring down with rain and cold outside the whole time.

Loved this Hotel! Peaceful, tasteful decor, spotless. From the revolving door to the elegant taps in the en-suite. And the Staff (especially our Breakfast Waitress) were polite, helpful and thoughtful to us (we are both disabled) The lift to upper floors made it all possible for us. A perfect couple of days relaxation!
It’s off season and whilst quiet, might be the time to touch up the flaking paint on window frames and some loose wall paper - all general wear and tear and just small bits and pieces

The staff members that I met were especially accommodating!! They arranged a packed lunch when I mentioned that I couldn't enjoy the breakfast that was included in my reservation. When I needed a place to rest between adventures, they welcomed me to sit in their parlor. Location is especially convenient to the train station!!
I arrived very late on a rainy night. There was no light on at the front door. Construction in the front door area further complicated the situation. I made my way into the building through the Bistro door on the side of the building. The benefit was that there were no stairs when coming through the Bistro!!

Excellent location and spacious room. This was right next to the "parade" in Ft William, with lots of shops and restaurants within a minute or two walk. Our GPS took us to the backside of the building and we had to navigate around to get to the parking, but it worked out. We loved the stone exterior.
The furnishings were dated and threadbare in locations. The comforter had a fairly large hole in it. Everything still felt very clean and comfortable, but perhaps less luxurious. We paid for the breakfast, which I would honestly skip. It was fine, but for the price, I'm sure you could get something better nearby.

Everything. What a fantastic place. It had everything it was brilliant. Really good value for money perfect location just a stones throw from the town. Awesome food lovely friendly people. Rooms were out of this world with comfy beds tons of lamps everywhere. There was desks tables mirror. And loved the room service. It was very clean lovely power shower and nestled in the mountains. I would stay here again for sure. It also put on excellent entertainment and the place had a lovely vibe to it. It was spiritual.. Guess it's being so close to ben nevis and surrounding hills
I liked everything... Only thing was it could have had a few more charging points.. But I guess that's due to it being a fairly old building.. In our modern times

The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room is a good size, plenty of sockets where you need them, clean and tidy. The bathroom looked recently upgraded and the large rain style shower above the bath was fab. Breakfast buffet was good, with a choice of hot and continental items, cereals and fruit too. The bistro food was lovely and reasonably priced. Great location with free parking, lots of shops and eateries a short walk into town and supermarkets a short walk also.
Our room on the first floor faced the road. It's a really busy road and with single glazed sash and case windows, it was a pretty restless sleep for me on the first night, but i must have gotten used to it as nights 2 and 3 it didnt keep me awake as much. The double bed was comfortable, but very narrow, not sure if it's a small double perhaps? The floorboards seem to run from the room through the corridor as when people are walking past your room, as well as it being quite noisy, you can feel the bed move too. I appreciate its an old building and the flooring wouldn't be a quick or inexpensive fix though.

A large hotel in the centre of Fort William, with easy access to the high street. The hotel was very basic, but in a good location. The hotel had a car park which was very convenient. If you are planning to go up on Ben Nevis, this is most likely the closest accommodation you can get.
The room's fittings were a bit dated, but clean. The hotel is a bit of a maze and I had to navigate many corridors to get to my room. The town does not have much to offer, but this is obviously not the hotel's fault.
