The beds in our twin economy room were by far the biggest we had during our whole trip! We really enjoyed the space after all the cramped hotel rooms. There wasn't much space apart from the beds but that's what we were expecting – everything was true to the pictures. We ended up not using the kitchen facilities so I can't comment on that, but had no problems doing laundry. The staff were also really lovely and helpful!

The location wasn't the most convenient, it seemed to mostly be a residential/business area and all the metro stations were a short walk away. On the other hand, there were stops for multiple lines walkable distance away, so getting around was still easy enough.

This was my favorite hostel during my 4 weeks in Japan. Perfect for a solo traveler, with helpful friendly staff. Good location in Osaka. I booked a double room with private bathroom, and it felt like a step up from other hostels where I've booked single rooms. Overall I liked the arrangements and enjoyed my stay there.

Only minor things, like sometimes there could be very long wait for the elevator. Not suprising considering many guests that stays there. A little bit of a walk to the closest metro stops, but not that big of a deal.

Modern building, nice room, comfortable bed. Air conditioning works great. Shower is good, and fresh sheets and towels are available every few days. Shared kitchen has everything you need. Family Mart and Lawson are just around the corner, while 7-Eleven is a 4 min walk and Life supermarket is a 9 min walk.

Location is decent, but it requires transferring subway lines to reach Namba or Umeda. The area doesn’t have many restaurants. Additionally, there’s only one refrigerator for the entire building, limiting the amount of groceries you can store for cooking.

Excellent location, a short walk from several subway lines. Hostel is next door to a convenience store, which is also great. The building is new, modern, and well-maintained. There is a shared kitchen with free use of stove, drinking water, hot water kettle, microwave, and refrigerator (although the fridge is full depending on the amount of guests using it). There is also a paid washer/dryer. The room itself is small but sufficient for 2 people. There is a small desk/dresser. The bathroom is the standard Japanese bathroom with a tub and shower, as well as a toilet with bidet. Room and bathroom are clean and well-maintained. Would definitely consider booking here again, and would recommend it to my friends and family.

The location was very cute! The common rooms were very nice, there were public kitchen amenities, as well as board games and books. The room itself was very charming and the bed was great. At the reception, there was an inspiration book available for recommended places to eat as well as things to do. Walking to areas like Dotonbori and Osaka Palace was certainly doable. Metro stops were somewhere between 5 and 10 minutes away. The Family Mart on the corner of the street is nice.

We had some issues drying our clothes. There are two washing machines and two drying machines. The drying machine takes twice as long as the washing machine. So if you wash your clothes in the late afternoon, there can be quite the line for the dryer. At around 11 PM we gave up and just spread out all our wet clothes through the bathroom, hoping they'd air dry.

The property was amazing, have a very comfortable common area and an excellent location in Osaka near the main turistic attractions, everything was very clean and spacious, the beds had their own privacy with light and a charge point even a safe box. As an experiment travel with more of 30 countries travelled I will %100 reccomend this hostal as the first option to backpackers coming to Osaka everything was really on point and makes me feel like in home. I need to mention an special staff member called Harukal, she always have the best disposition and help me a lot during my stay, help me translating a lot between Japanese and English and help me solving a couple of situations, she really was worried about my stay. In Japan by myself, without speaking Japanese don’t know what I woulded do without her! Thank u :))

Nothing all good

I had an amazing experience at this hostel in Osaka! Not only was it incredibly clean and comfortable, with a great location but the staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful. I lost my backpack at the airport, and the staff assisted me by calling the airport and ensuring that the information about my missing luggage was relayed to the hostel. I only stayed for two nights before moving to another hostel that couldn’t accept my backpack if it was found. However, the staff at &AND HOSTEL SHINSAIBASHI EAST were so helpful and agreed to stay in contact with the airport and receive my luggage even after I had checked out. A few days after my stay, I received an email from the hostel informing me that they had received my backpack and would keep it safe until I could pick it up. Their kindness and excellent service truly stood out. I highly recommend this hostel!

Staff were lovely, very friendly and accommodating. The room and bathroom were spotless, and all linen was provided with our private double room. Common areas were great with a kitchen and social vibe. Generally well-located. Amazing find that didn't even feel budget!!

The room was very small, although given the price we could hardly complain. It was a bit of a walk to the nearest metro station if you wanted to travel to another part of the city, but there were lots of popular attractions within walking distance to keep us occupied.

If you're solo travelling or with a partner I would definitely recommend this hostel. The staff were super helpful and friendly, you can always rely on them to help you out whether it's where to eat for breakfast or where to go for bar. As they are locals so they know their ways around. You are gonna meet people from all around the world, its always fun talking to people from different cultures and making new friends. big shout out to the hard working staffs. I will definitely come back.

While being located on a quiet side street in residential area, the hostel is also close to the metro station and many city attractions. Everything is very convenient and well organised. Beds and bathrooms are clean - there is a bathroom in each room with separate toilet and shower room. There is also a nice common room to relax and enjoy free coffee/tea.

The only thing I would note is that they charge for luggage storage before check-in time. They do not actually have a luggage room, bags are simply kept next to the reception desk.
