The staff was very respectfull and helped with every question. We were surprised to find out dinner was included together with a renaissance feast, accompanied by a medieval tournament which was very fun. When the shift manager heard we were on our honey moon, he made sure we will get a guide in english for the event, which turned out to be the son of the owner of the hotel. Great value for money, comfotable beds, all you might want facilities.

The food at the breakfast and dinner was mostly fine but not exceptional. But it is impossible to come out hungry, there is a very big variaty

Excellent location, very kind and helpful staff, great facilities, including the spa and the wellness area, great variety of food, and superbly organized “medieval dinner “, followed by a nice boat-trip. In the afternoons nice “lángos” or pancake treat. Very special was the hunting dog and falcon show organized in the backyard of the hotel. In addition to the children’s-area in the wellness-area, there’s a nicely equipped playroom adjacent to the restaurant and a very nice playground outside.

There’s only one tiny little suggestion that I would make: there was an interesting but a bit too long speech delivered on the boat trip about the history of Visegrád. The idea is great but the delivery can be better if it’s made shorter -max 15 minutes - and perhaps at least also done in English. (Small) children but also adults have a short attention-span and foreigners get stiff bored … But otherwise hat’s off - everything was perfect!!!

Great location and facilities. Excellent customer care, staff are friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. It has all the hallmarks of old fashioned customer service, paying attention to details, even small ones but with constantly improving facilities and services. The massage is absolutely top notch. There are programs on offer, free or at additional cost, occasionally led by the owner himself. The river boat trip at sunset is a must.

Missed having tea/coffee making facilities in the room. Luckily pool bar opened at 7ish and staff were happy to provide hot water to make my own or make coffee.

Everything was great, the accommodation, and staff that gave us a warm welcome upon arrival. Rook was perfect, air-conditioning on the extremely hot weekend was perfect. Pools are super, clean, food was outside of this world. All recommendations.

Nothing which regards of the hotel itself. However, since we are from other country other guests were extremely surprised that if my kids were jumping to the kid's pool, they got disturbed with bad facial expressions. We didn't like the tourists that were with us.

There is a very good free programme including dinner in a Renaissance restaurant and castle games and free 'lángos' on Saturday and there is always a cheap possibility for lunch. The wellness area is perfect.

Sirály restaurant doesn't look very good. The rooms in the old wing need renovation. They told us we were not entitled to dining in the Renaissance restaurant because we were there by booking.com! After complaining, we could still go to the restaurant.

The property was just a stone throw from the Danube river. You could lay out from the balcony and listen the flow of the river moving slow. They organized also a very good and well thought dinner at a very traditional restaurant, close to them, not only with very good food, but with the whole show included. It was like we lived those 2 hours in the renaissance era. We really enjoyed the experience.

Nothing at all

The many pools and atmosphere was exceptional. The staff was great. The staff was engaged and made the guests feel welcome at all times. The food was exceptional and plentiful. Also, there is a great castle tour that comes free with the stay. Was awesome!

The a/c in our room couldn’t keep up. So, nights were a bit warmer than I find comfortable. However, the staff was responsive and did what they could to fix it.

The hotel was very clean and the room very comfortable, The family rooms are nicer than depicted, consist of a small cosy room with a balcony that has a sofa that converts to a single bed, wardrobes and a bathroom. From it stairs lead to the loft area where the other large beds are able at attic window. Our kids loved sleeping there. The wellness area is more extensive than expected and includes four saunas. It is open until late at night, which we enjoyed after dinner. Guests are able to use it after checkout for no extra cost, which fitted well into our program. We appreciated the long periods for breakfast, dinner (18-21) and these opening hours as we could do our planning and not have to fit it around the hotel's, as we often experienced. Staff was friendly and helpful.

The isolation between the family rooms could definitely be improved, you can literally hear every word in adjacent rooms,, which was already reported here. Our neighbors weren't loud, so it was no problem, but does feel a bit strange. While food was very good, some more imagination with vegetarian dishes would be welcome.

Nice indoor swimming-pool

Our room was not prepared,ať out arrival. The bathroom was not cleaned up, and there were no towels. The room also needed a renovation. After complaining at the reception, we got a new and upgraded room. That was ok. But unfortunately, our neighbours were in a party mood, and the women at the reception in the night shift did not speak only Hungarian. The price we have paid for one night is definitely too much....

The staff are all extremely kind and helpful! The hotel organised so much fantastic activities such as sunset boat trip, visit to the royal palace, watch a medieval tournament, kid’s art and craft….
