Quaint, and we'll kept Inn, in a great location. Restaurants, shops, and hiking trails are all within walking distance. The staff was warm and accommodating. It's a perfect spot for a weekend getaway. It's has a bed and breakfast feel, with good-sized individual rooms and beautiful setting/hotel grounds on the edge of Oak Creek. Our's room had a balcony over the creek teaming with trout and views of the Sedona red rocks. Overall, the Inn Above Oak Creek is a winner, and we look forward to staying there again. Pro Tip; Splurge for a balcony room on the Creek side. We were in room #5

High traffic area of Hwy 179, but that's the tradeoff for the hotel's very walkable location.

The Inn is located above the creek (hence the name) and has areas to sit & enjoy the views~ it was a bit chilly to hang out down there but in warmer seasons would be nice. I liked the to proximity to Tlaquepaque which was fun to explore & had lots of shops, cafes & restaurants in a festive atmosphere. Kim was lovely & provided superb hospitality. We felt like we stayed at a friend’s house with a “mi casa es su casa” vibe. The muffins in the morning were homemade and delicious! The Inn was clean & comfortable with nice views of the creek in the shared space & outdoor deck

We had room 8 which was facing the main road. It was a busy holiday and the traffic noise was terrible. We always travel with ear plugs which were well needed. In addition, the room could use black out curtains. The outdoor light shone through the blinds and the room wasn’t dark enough.

The location is serene and perfectly located walking distance to Tlaquepaque and uptown. The daily breakfast, cookies, and availability of tea and fruit was much appreciated. Rich was very welcoming and cared that my stay was comfortable. Outdoor space is amazing with spectacular views.

The room I was in (#5) may be a bit small feeling for a couple. The space was great for just me, however, there was one nightstand and one lounge chair with no great place to put the lovely tray with welcome gifts other than on the bed or on the chair.

First of all, the grounds of the Inn were amazing! I wish we would have used them more. My wife thought they were amazing and tranquil. Again, wish we would have used them more. The rooms were decorated very nicely and the bed was really comfortable. The room has a fan and that made it really comfortable after being gone most of the day. Rich, not sure of his title, but he was very accommodating and always greeted you with a smile. We asked about staying another night and he was willing to hold our room until we decided what we wanted to do. That said, the Inn is convenient to most everything. The Chapel at Holy Cross, Rachel’s Knoll(if you are older and don’t want to hike a bunch, this place is amazing and the story is amazing as well),and the main shopping hub is probably not even 100 yards from the Inn. I would definitely stay here again without a doubt!

It needs updating. The bathrooms are beautiful but the tub/shower is difficult to manage. The carpeting needs to be replaced as well. The only other thing, which in no way bothered us, was there was no elevator. The stairs were not bad to maneuver and Rich actually helped bring our luggage up to our room. This is an amazing place and these things should not keep you from booking!!!!!

The Inn was absolutely beautiful and sited on a gorgeous property. The common area was great, accomodating and it was nice to have kitchen access. Beautiful flowers and decor on the deck. Our only regret is we got there late and weren’t able to fully enjoy the lovely outside seating areas and grounds. Our room did overlook the creek which was wonderful! No detail left undone, many thoughtful touches with water, snacks, toiletries, guidebooks, etc. Location is very convenient to shopping and dining.

Only qualm is the bed. While it looked so pretty and inviting, was too high. I’m tall and my husband is 6’3” and we could hardly get up in it. Once we were in though it was very comfy!

Small, quaint Inn with a very home like feel. A variety of great breakfast and snacks provided for grab and go. Beautiful setting right by Oak Creek and conveniently located in Sedona. Walk to Tlaqupaque

No elevator, which meant lugging suitcases up and down stairs. Our particular room (10) was not on the side of the Creek so no view. Bathrooms have whirlpool tub/shower combos so difficult to enter/exit shower. Ours was corner tub which made for very tight space in bathroom.

The continental breakfast included fresh fruit, homemade muffins, fresh bagels and yoghurt. The atmosphere and location were serene and peaceful. Although Sedona traffic is heavy, many of the attractions were within walking distance. We plan to make a stay at Inn Above Oak Creek an annual event and hope others in our family will join us.

The only downside was the traffic, which of course could not be helped by the Inn.

This is an exceptional inn in a lovely location. the rooms are individually decorated and there is a very comfortable residents' lounge with all day tea and coffee and fresh cookies in the evening where residents can watch birds and squirrels. There is a section of Oak Creek with seating which is a cool place in the heat of the day. The breakfast is tasty with granola and muffins. It is a short walk to restaurants and shops and there is ample parking.

Nothing

I love the common area, I love the afternoon chocolate chip cookies, the location is excellent. The outdoor area by the creek is just fabulous. I love sitting by the river and could stay there all day. This is by far the most attractive feature of the property. It’s shaded and so there’s always a place where you can sit comfortably at least in my experience. I was there at the end of June.

Our room was a mixed experience. The room was small and we had absolutely nowhere to put our clothes. There was only one drawer on a night table on one side of the bed. And there was no place to put the suitcases themselves. I do not like filling so crowded and closed in. We had to live out of our suitcase, and we actually had to put them on the floor and navigate around them. They were always underfoot and I constantly stumbled and tripped over them. it was just very uncomfortable in that regard. The bed itself was amazing and I loved the fireplace. The decor and amenities were a nice touch. If I return, I would have to definitely get a bigger room because #5 just didn’t hit it for us.

It's a little oasis! Loved the garden with it's different sitting arrangements and hammock. It's obviously the completely opposite of big chain hotels. Breakfast was fine and it's very nice to be able to help yourself with water, tea, coffee and fruit throughout the day.

The toilet made a weird sound a couple of minutes after flushing and a floor board was creaking but that's part of the charm from my point of view.
