Such a beautiful idyll - perfectly located for a day at the national park and with a lovely restaurant onsite. The personnel were super welcoming and the room was immaculately clean. I really loved the coffee machine in the lounge to grab a nice coffee to enjoy on the little patio. Pool was a lovely relaxing place to while away some hours. The whole plot was incredibly calm and serene - would highly recommend. PS - note that the ratings outside of WiFi are all 10/10! We had no issues with WiFi while we were there, but equally would not expect perfect WiFi in a rurally located spread out property - seems unfair it brings down the overall ratings!

Candice met us on arrival, she was the perfect host, warm and friendly and a lovely personality. The lodge was in a lovely garden setting. Our standard rondawel room was clean and comfortable, the shower was good with hot water. Emilia looked after us very well. The breakfast and evening meals were good with plenty of choice and Lorraine and Yomela looked after us, nothing was too much trouble . Tea and cake was served in the afternoon and the outside fire was lit so you could sit and enjoy a drink before dinner. We enjoyed a day self driving in Addo elephant park which wasn't far away.
Nothing to dislike.

This year we did a prospecting trip to discover new places in South Africa to visit with small groups of travelers in the future. An absolute advantage is that you can park safely at the accommodation Two years ago we booked a deluxe double room "cabin" for the same reason and were satisfied overall. This year we booked a deluxe double room in the lounge. two years ago we also booked at the local restaurant Molo Lolo Our experience was that it is still a good destination overall in terms of location But the overall quality unfortunately dropped when we compared it to two years ago - that's a real shame.

We were lucky enough to spend two nights in this wonderful, special accommodation. We stayed in the Zulu house, which is a larger one, and absolutely loved it. The furnishings are very well thought out and simply unique. Staff at the accommodation are very welcoming, over the top friendly and helpful. The restaurant is great, the safari offered there is highly recommended and the whole place is just super cute. if you would like to spend a night away from the mainstream hotels, we highly recommend Addo African homes.
nothing! everything was perfect

This location is marvellous. We slept into one of the tipical house which is absolutely wonderful. Candice welcomed us in a very friendly way and we felt at home far away from our home. We ate very well at the restaurant. The houses, together with the restaurant, the vegetable garden and the school are connected to a project to traine future chefs, receptionists, and so on. Here young men and women are getting French, maths, English, etc. Lessons and are prepared for the world of work. Congratulations to the owner for this gorgeous project I've loved and hope to come back one day, as a volunteer, to give my little contribution.
Nothing negative

What a great and lovely property! Its close proximity to Addo made it super convenient, and the charming round lodge-style rooms added a unique touch to our stay. We would highly recommend it to others. We especially appreciated the eco-friendly approach.
The Wi-Fi didn’t work properly during our stay, which was a bit disappointing. Additionally, there were loud plane noises in the morning due to pesticide spraying. It would have been appreciated if we were informed about this in advance, as the staff seemed to be aware of it.

We loved the setting of Addo African Home, the Rondavel hut was comfortable and the lounge area, restaurant and natural pool were all fantastic. We only stayed one night but had a great experience, including a morning safari the day we checked out, which allowed us to be back at the accommodation by 12:30 and not be in a rush to reach our next stop! Would highly recommend for anyone visiting Addo National Park!
A little dark in the hut but understandable given the traditional structure and eco/sustainability commitments.

We were upgraded from a smaller room to a larger one which was lovely. The facilities were fantastic and nothing was too much effort. the onsite restaurant was absolutely lovely. We were doing a run in Addo elephant National Park and it was so convenient.
We were from over seas so it would have been super helpful to know the safest way to get to the hotel. We did take a fairly dangerous route R 335 and only found this out when there was a sign at reception saying don't take this highway. If you could let international guests know the safest way to come would be beneficial I am not sure if you can include this in your spiel somehow or put it on your website but we were coming from Capetown and should have gone the long way around instead of route 335. This was a very dangerous way to come and luckily we did it through the day. We obviously didn't take this route back to Port Elizabeth on our way home. We came back on the R 342.

It’s like a little garden Eden in the middle of agriculture plant ages. Yes, there is a train track nearby but we didn’t hear anything and I think I they have 1-3 trains per day by max. the people that wrote negative reviews on service simple don’t know what’s good and are arrogant I assume. They also ignore the fact that this is a place where the idea is to get people educated, off the streets and train them to be in high class restaurants and hotels one day. It’s such a lovely open hearted beautiful place.
There was nothing to complain about! All other guests we spoke too were also fascinated and could not understand who wrote the bad reviews.

In order, the food, staff and rooms! The food was exceptional with a French twist; breakfast was bread, pastries served with fresh orange juice, then options for fruit, eggs Benedict, avocado, and so much more. We ate in the restaurant on both nights and the food was really well prepared and presented, again a good selection. Note that they don’t have unlimited supplies, so when a dish is sold out, there will be an alternative. The staff were so helpful and really cheerful and we’re happy to chat. The rooms we had was traditional but very well equipped, with a lovely large shower and comfortable bed. We took advantage of the option of a half day game drive in to the park - I would highly recommend having a guide, just so you done miss a thing.
There was nothing we didn’t like about the property that could have be fixed …. We had torrential rain on the second evening of our stay
