What a little gem. Everything went very smooth and in a very professional manner from the moment we checked in. The hotel owner (who checked us in) was very welcoming, professional, helpful and knowledgeable. Check in process was fast, and we received a lot of information about Zee Lam See and the touristic areas, and we were also provided by a tourist card and leaflet that had info of a range of touristic areas, a number of which were combined with the hotel charge. We were a family of 4 who travelled with so much heavy luggage and the owner was very helpful in helping with the luggage to our room which was on the 1st floor (no life in the property). We didn’t expect any help with the luggage from a small family hotel but was such a nice gesture from them. Our stay included breakfast and it was one of the best breakfast experiences we had. There was a decent range of cold cuts, eggs,cheeses, cereals, bread, tea, coffee, chocolate, etc. The hotel owner and staff were so considerate to our needs being muslims and we were provided with salmon for breakfast even on days that salmon was not supposed to be served. The quality of the eggs were top notch so was the way they were cooked and served. We booked a family room for 4 ppl and it has exceeded out expectations by far. The room was large enough for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. The room was devided into 2 the master bedroom with a door and a large sitting room with sofa and a bunk bed. Both the room and the sitting room had enough storage areas for all of us however the bathroom on the small size but manageable. I would highly recommend this hotel to every one from the level of professionalism and assistance and the feeling of warmth we received during our unforgettable stay. This accomodation exceeded our expectations. Besides the fact that it was great value for money, a few aspects we would like to mention are: - the fact it had free parking was really convenient -the bus stop was super close so you could pretty much get anywhere and not have to use the car -breakfast was absolutely delicious, also the atmosphere in the breakfast room was cozy and nice with candles; the hosts were so nice and would ask if you want cooked eggs besides what you could find at the buffet. We appreciated how the tables were set and how the food was arranged. - the bed was comfortable, the room was nice and warm, the bathroom as well -everything was very clean -the ski room was super convenient (also the ski-boots room) PS: we visited at the beginning of the skiing season and our experience was the best we ever had! We will definitely be coming back! Thanks for everything and hope to see you again!

Nothing negative to say;

Cozy apartment and fantastic breakfast with a variety of warm and cold food to choose from. Ski storage for the night. Helpful and very kind hosts! Easy self check-in. Great location either for skiing or simply visiting the city. Quick access to Schmittenhöhebahn ski lift (2min by car, 8min by ski bus), and Kaprun/Kitzsteinhorn slopes are 15min away by car. Parking is free at all parking areas with enough spots. I'd definitely come back to visit again.

Ultra soft bed matrasses made it difficult to sleep/rest properly. It was the only inconvenience during our stay.

Incredibly friendly and energetic lady owner, helpful and skilled staff. The breakfast was excellent, a wide selection - various hams, cheeses, yogurts, several types of pastries... the accommodation is beautiful, clean. The location is absolutely TOP! a short distance from the busy center and at the same time a short distance from the cable car. Thanks to the zell am see-kaprun summer card, we were able to visit many places and for free. The Wi-Fi is absolutely great. The sufficient number of parking spaces.

It's not that we don't like it, everyone is comfortable with something different. The mattresses were a bit softer for us than we are used to and the bathroom was also small, but sufficient for our stay.

Me and my fiancee stayed for 7 days in january at Pension Schmittental. We were very satisfied about the lodging, it being great value for money. The pension is not very big, but very cozy, we especially were impressed by the decorations on the coniferous trees in the garden, and the lighting in the restaurant in the evening. The staff was very helpful and polite. We enjoyed the breakfast. The room was cozy and clean. The bathroom had a hairdryer, which is always good. The last day we had to leave at 05:30 am and we asked for a taxi and were pleasantly surprised that Rudi, a member of the staff, offered to drive us personally to the train station free of charge for which we are very thankful. In conclusion we would whole-heartedly recomend Pension Schmittental if you are looking for an affordable, cozy and quiet accomodation for your ski vacation in Zell am See. A tip: if you have a ski pass, the bus is free:)

The only drawback would be the outdated bathroom, with poor water pressure.

The property is in a quite location, about 20-30 minutes walking from the city center up the hill, easily accessible with the bus. The room was clean, rustic and well-kept. We were facing the mountain in the back and it was really peaceful. The girls from breakfast were polite and smiling, they took good care of us and the other guests. Overall, we felt welcome and enjoyed our stay in this peaceful town, away from our busy lives.

There was no mosquito net at the window, so we could not enjoy the cooling breeze at night without having to "fight" mosquitos :(

Everything was perfect :) personal was very friendly, room was cleaned everyday, had all basic stuff, nice views to mountains. Overall it was very good balance from automated (prepared) process witch covered check in process, entering room without key, ski maps near reception, vending machine inside and wonderful personal experience with staff. Breakfast was tasteful

We had corner room, probably far from router, so wifi was low and not stable, but for us it wasn't big problem

This is a great place to stay and eat in Zell Am See. The place is owned by a Gourmet Couple and the food is proberly the best in town. Excellent breakfast and you can easily taste that everything is made of the best ingredients. They really care about food here. - The hotel is a romantic spot located near the cable cars to the top of the mountains. - The town of Zell Am see was very disapointing, but the surroundings and the see itselt is why you want to come here. - So avoid the town and spoil yourself in this gorgeous hotel. The stay includes a card to free pass on the cable cars and the boats on the lake, and even som nearby waterfalls etc. good value for your money. - Be aware that the reataurant in the hotel is closed on wednesdays, which is not stated anywhere.

We didn't like the town of Zell am See, but the nature around is breathtaking.

First of all the personnel and the owners are super communicative and friendly so you feel you are welcome there as a guest. The Slovak lady was our favourite! The food at the restaurant and what they serve for breakfast is very good and tasty, but at least for us the breakfast time could a bit extended. The rooms are being cleaned up everyday, The location is ok if you like longer walk to the city center, alternatively you can take a bus. I walk fast and definitely it is not 5 minutes by walking like the other people say in their comments - maybe if you run. We received local Summer Cards so we could enjoy some discounts / free entries to the attractions that partership. The room itself was not very spacious, but we did not bump to each other when we had to be there. The internet worked very well. Free parking place and locked ski/bike room. Playground for children. Good location to start bike / hiking trips.

The room did not have even a small fridge, the bathroom was super tiny and plastic - I mean it was like a plastic box with toilet and shower in. Our impression was that at our floor all rooms were renovated and presented a modern look apart from ours - we thought we had booked the renovated one. The restaurant is closed at Wendesdays. When it is open and you have a room above the restaurant garden you need to be prepare for noises and loud talks up until 11 pm. No air conditioning in the room. The street is quite busy. The nearest shops are in the centre.

Although located a 20min or so walk from the city, it was still decently located. It was also fairly easy to access the slopes with only a 500m walk. There is a bus stop near y but i believe the frequency is fairly low so it could take some time

The bathrooms were outdated. It took some time for the water to heat up and it was very difficult to control the temperature. Also the drainage did not work well.
