The location of Inn by the Sea is excellent. You could park the car and not use it during your entire stay. Beach is 5-6 minutes away, as well as a large variety of restaurants and stores. The balcony was lovely, the beds were comfortable. The pool and guest lounge area is also very lovely - pool was nice and warm! The staff were also exceptionally friendly and helpful - lots of recommendations!

The room cleanliness was a 7/10 for me, not bad but some things could’ve used a deeper clean.

Loved the friendly staff, greeted us with a smile & remembered us! Loved the free teas/coffees, soft bedsheets, comfy rooms. Felt clean and safe. We went back a couple of times!

Fridge made humming sounds, paint chipping, overall a little tired/dated. Would be lovely if revamped/renovated. Towels also quite old. Soundproofing not the best, but only when other guests using showers. Otherwise clean and safe.

Great shower in original room because it was accessible room. Very nice coffee machine in lounge but milk was out. Overall, pretty much of a find in a very fancy area.

Other people were very loud on their balcony at 1-3 am. You would think the lobby staff would quiet them down. Expensive for how the place looked.

We are very low maintenance guests and like peace and quiet. We got what we wanted

I overpaid alot even though I booked my trip months in advance. I've never been to a hotel that charged me for parking. And 20 dollars for parking is crazy

Location, view (from the Ocean View rooms), front desk staff, amenities especially the pool area, snack/vending/coffee area, lobby lounge, and the comfort of the beds.

The staff needs to clean the bathrooms better and management needs to repair or replace some worn/ruined items (hinges on bathroom door are rusty, ceiling is moldy, fan doesn’t work, tub around drain is cracked. They need to update the soaps so they are easier to use, better for skin, and don’t seem like cheap motel bars. Towels need updating as they are worn and scratchy.

The location was great! Our room was on the main level looking at the pool and it was the perfect spot!! I loved all the decor, the guest lounge and plants. The gentleman working the desk the night we checked in was very friendly.

Our room was dirty.... I think they forgot to vacuum but didn't look like they have vacuumed for awhile lol. Between hair, spider webs and the dust bunnies in the closet I was hesitant to sleep in the bed. I tried speaking to the woman working the desk and she was not friendly or helpful and pretty nothing we could do about the filth. They should've atleast moved us rooms or cut us a discount.

The hotel location within the village of La Jolla was perfect. We could walk to everything! Hotel staff were extremely friendly, offering tips on restaurants and a willingness to help with any questions we had. The room was a basic hotel room, but very clean and comfortable.
