Loved the location and everything about the room. Thought full features like USB plugs for phones next to the beds, hooks in the bathroom. Loved that the washroom & bathroom was separate especially when sharing the room with others. The staff was awesome. The bottle of air freshener where you hung clothes was great and thoughtful. Used it all the time. Loved that it also had laundry facilities using your credit card instead of having to fumble for coins.

The little corner with the kettle was hidden behind the bathroom door when the door was open. Thought no kettle or bottled water was provided till someone used the bathroom and the door was closed. Otherwise nothing to not dislike.

Friendly front desk staff that spoke English in addition to Chinese (probably other languages too). No restaurant on site as of February 2024 (none were expected), but there's lots of food within a ten minute walk. A simple breakfast was provided. Super clean inside. Fancy toilets with heated seats in our room! This hotel is a ten second walk from Ximen MRT station exits 2 and 3. Also very close to the Ximen station bus stops, including for the #965 that runs express to Ruifang and Jiufen.

The room lights are controlled via a "smart" system that's overly complicated. It actually required rebooting at one point in our stay. The front desk staff was very helpful and courteous with this issue, so it is a very minor complaint.

The hotel is very new! It just opened the month of my stay and it is the best hotel I have stayed at in terms of comfort and convenience. It is in a good area in Ximending. Subway exits are literally around it; 3 and 4 are next to it and 2 is infront of it. There is a small 7/11 next to it as well. Rooms are very huge and clean. The bed has a good amount of firmness and the pillows are so comfy. Two free water bottles a night and my amenities were constantly refreshed. I also love how the laundry is cashless. If you need to wash clothes or use the dryer, you can use your credit card or Easy Card.

Location was the best. Could go to Ximen at night and not worry about a long walk back. Access to the Ximen MRT station was also great and can get you to places like the Botanical Gardens in less than 10 minutes.

We didn't explore too far but the breakfast options around the area seemed a bit lacking. Waking up early many stores aren't open until 7-8 so if you are trying to beat the heat in the summer you may be left with the nearby 7-11.

The hotel is new and modern, a typical japanese business hotel which delivers great service at a reasonable price. The location is great, in the Ximendin district, on the other side of the road from the anime gate and at the exit no. 2 and 3 of the Ximen metro station - use the no. 3 if you have luggages as it is the one with the escalator option - but both exits are at less than one minute from the hotel entrance. It is also at 5 min walk from the bus stop for the number 965 which goes to Juifen and it is not as busy as other buses that go the same route. Being in the Ximendin district it means that there is an incredible choice of shops, eateries and the Ximen Night Street Food market is across the road. From the hotel, by foot, it easy to reach all eastern and central Taipei main areas of interest. Staff is great, very reponsive and attentive: our flight was delayed due a typhoon battering Taiwan and we could only fly one day after it was originally scheduled. The staff quickly responded to my request of keeping the room and even already checked us in in order for us to find everything ready on the arrival day. That was a very smooth and pleasent experience. The room, on the 5th floor, was exactly as depicted in the pictures and the windows faced the main road, it was a little noisy but nothing of concern. We particularly liked the possibility of using the lockers to store our belongings after check-out, very easy card-based system.

Our trip to Taipei made great with our stay here! Located strategically opposite of Ximending, its really accessible by Bannan Line exit 2 or 3. We were warmly welcome by the hotel staffs and their automated check-in process was easy and flawless. Our room was deluxe double on the high floor overlooking Ximending and it was spacious, clean and bright. Toilet was huge and amenities needed were provided. Bed and pillow firmness was perfect and we appreciate the “smart hotel” automation. Hotel was quiet throughout the stay despite location overlooking the busy part of Taipei. We love our stay and we highly recommend Sotetsu Grand Fresa Taipei for your next trip!

Great hotel - quiet, comfortable and well located next to a Ximen MRT entrance. The staff is excellent, particularly Jane at the front desk, who helped my friend and I when we checked into our rooms, and again when we departed in the morning ten days later. She went far out of her way to help with bags, take us to our Uber on departure, and make sure we (two older ladies) were comfortable. Jane provided by far the best service I've received in a hotel, in more than 50 years of traveling. Bravo to Jane and to the Sosetsu for having such a caring and hard working employee!

Very nice hotel. Situated above MRT (BL) Ximen Station. Exit 3. Super location, 200 m walks to Ximending, easy to move around in Taipei City by MRT. Reception at 2nd floor, Auto checkin make easy and staffs are friendly readily to assist anytime. Auto luggage deposit/storage is a brilliant idea and easy to use. Rooms are spacious and clean. Good city view from high floor. Room lights are controlled digitally by a control panel, easy to operate. Will strongly recommend friends to stay this hotel in Taipei. Breakfast at 1st floor by 3rd party cafeteria, a little bit noisy, staffs talk loudly openly and food choice for breakfast are limited.

Convenient location near to Ximending. Ximen MRT exit just downstairs of the hotel. Staff were polite, professional and very helpful. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The room we got was quiet. Happy with our stay.

Car drop-offs were a little tricky as there wasn't a designated drop-off point. And the dining was a tad confusing as the restaurant is downstairs of the hotel and we thought it was separate. The lifts got a little crowded at certain times so had to wait as the stairs weren't accessible. None of it major issues/turn-offs.

This is a new hotel that opened earlier in 2024 and the room is very clean. The location is unbeatable, literally just next to one of the subway exits. Although it;s right next to a major intersection, the sound insulation is good and generally no noise fromthe traffic could be heard. The staff are very friendly.

The toilet seat is one of those washlets where you can have a warm seat. We do not like it at all. We tried to adjust it ourselves, but turns out the hotel screwed in the toilet remote contol and we can only modify the settings on the front side of the remote control. However the toilet seat temperature setting was on the back side of the remote, and we had to get Maintenance team to come to our room and unscrew the remote control before we can lower the toilet seat temperature. And it would also be more convenient if there is soap in the sink of the toilet 'room', and not just in the shower room where the main sink is located.
