The location was very central. The room was incredible, modern, with a great bathroom and terrace. But the most important thing was the service we had. I have no words to describe it. The host was available to help us with anything we wanted. We informed him that we would be late with the check in and since he would not be able to be there to welcome us, he sent us all the information we needed to enter the room and left drinks in the fridge for us to have them because it was a very hot day. Also, although we had paid for breakfast, we informed him that we would not be able to have it because we plan an excursion that was starting early and he arrange to prepare breakfast for us from the evening in order to take with us on the excursion. Moreover, on the last day, we had asked him about a luggage storage room for a few hours until we went to the airport and he offered to help us by keeping our luggage in the restaurant below the room. First time I have encountered such impeccable service. I highly recommend it!!

From the moment we made the reservation till the transfer we had to the airport, MARKO was interested in every detail. The first day he helped Early check in, last day we wanted to re-use the room by paying an extra fee as it will be closed everything in the city because of Christmas. With the change of room again he was very helpful. every detail is considered at the rooms, as we had Netflix as well. The Pod Zidom is a really good restaurant, which is owned by them and , in the same way Flick is very good as well. Hotel in a very good location. Thank you for every detail. If I go to Zagreb e, I will definitely stay here again.

Superb property. I travel a lot in Europe (based in Paris) and this place in EXCEPTIONAL. best location, set one street behind the main square. But even better, it’s three doors down from the two-story “farmers market” which is glorious. And, just downstairs are two superior restaurants (one reasonable, the other pricey). Markus, your contact, is superb (I run several BnBs and would hire him). Amazingly attentive. Rooms are chic and modern. Only thing lacking is milk for morning coffee (buy it at the market).

Milk for coffee/tea. Otherwise, it has all you need. Seriously. I thought about suggesting a sound system for music but I have that on my cell phone. And: This isn’t a complaint at all, but the daily maids struggle with English. But I’m in their country! So I can’t complain! I care more about location, cleanliness, value, WiFi, and nearby services. This place has it all. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else, to be honest.

The room itself was tastefully decorated, spacey and really nice. Good to have coffee machine and welcome refreshments as well as quality tea and bathroom accessories. Very centrally located; this being the biggest positive. The hotel also went out of the way to pack us breakfast for our early starts for 2 of our days. That was very kind.

Two small points but not that important. The entrance and corridor do have a strong smell from the restaurant downstairs and not having a reception is slightly inconvenient. However on the latter the contact (Marco) was very receptive on WhatsApp.

The location is perfect and it's an easy and interesting walk from the station. Right near the main square, just below the market, easy access to Upper Town. Very modern, comfortable, well equipped room, and good bathroom. Access was easy with door code instructions, lift to 1st floor. Marco was super helpful and responsive to messages. A bonus is the proximity to the two restaurants, Fiklek and the Bistro. Both excellent - you need to book!

Interaction was excellent prior to our arrival. Instructions to get to the hotel were simple and clear. It is one of those renovated floors with hotel rooms within normal apartment buildings. Our room was very spacious and comfortable, very tidy, with a wonderful shower. Marko and the staff were incredibly welcoming and nice, very attentive to our needs (so much that our flight to leave was really early in the morning and they provided a take-away breakfast the night before - this was awesome!!!), they gave us good recommendations to make our stay more enjoyable, including having lunch or dinner at the restaurants in the 1st floor of the building (a very fancy one and a typical Croatian one - food was incredible in both!!!). If I ever go back to Zagreb, I would book again undoubtfully.

Pod Zidom is a fantastic place to stay in Zagreb. They only have maybe 3/4 rooms and its not a hotel with a front desk or any full time staff on premises but you get all the amenities you need and the room is cleaned every day, really can't beat it especially for the price. The location is also superb, minutes away from the central square and a great place to be based in Zagreb. In addition to providing free wifi in the rooms, they also provide a free portable wifi router with which you can access the internet while you are exploring Zagreb, was great for me because my roaming facilities were not working very well so really appreciated this touch. The two restaurants downstairs are owned by the same guys who run the hotel and both are really good.

Can't really think of anything bad to say, enjoyed pretty much everything about this hotel.

Nobody was there for the check-in, but it wasn't needed: everything is very well organised so to be able to get into the building, get the key and enter the room. It's a really beautiful room, very confortable, with a little balcony and good toiletries. It's very well located, near the cathedral, and the breakfast (which is very good!) is served in the bar underneath. I do recommend!

Pod Zidom is in the pedestrian area, so you'll need to carry your luggage from the parking (they'll advise you on the nearest one, it's a public parking) to your room. Then, it's only 5-10 minutes walk

Great location, Our street is closed to traffic , though at night some cars come and go. the farmers market is just down the street with two levels of vendors- everything from farmers fruits and veggies to established cheese and meat vendors. While the immediate street its on is not the prettiest it is right down close to all the things we wanted to experience. Solar system art installation, Funicular, WWII bomb shelter tunnel, main square, church spires, transit.

Check in was a bit convoluted as I needed to access the restaurant staff to coordinate the room handoff. but that could be me as our arrival time had altered from our original plan.
