loved the vibe of staying on a boat. Really central to Amsterdam, didn't realise it was berthed in Zandaam for two nights but that was made known on day one and the website made it clear that we would be on the move. I loved it however not very comfortable for my 80yr old Dad. He enjoyed the common spaces very much, would've liked a kettle on deck for tea but that was his only complaint outside of accessibility, again we knew it was a boat so that's on us. Overall I would highly recommend for the budget traveller and I will visit again...but on my own. It's my vibe, I expect what I pay for and to me ingot value for money.

it's a berth on a boat so quite tight. there was a thong left on the corridor floor for over 24 hours. huge ashtrays on the upper deck filled with ashtray waste so a bit smelly. No kettle for out of service hours tea. Toilets showers need a bit of maintenance to take that poor hostel vibe away. Upgrade them a little and keep public lower deck clean and it will be golden.

The booking process was straightforward and we found the accommodation easily. The Breakfast included in the price was really good. We really enjoyed the experience. The location is exceptional.

Its a minor thing, I had not realised that the boat was moving at 9am the next morning when I was booking. It was only when I spotted the mini cruise schedule for the next day that that became obvious. It seems such a shame to move off so early... we had planned to stay on board all day until time for our connection to the ferry back to Newcastle. You are missing a trick here...a place to relax with a fantastic view on deck and a supply of cake and coffee...and just a walk away from the bus transfer to the ferry.....make your mini cruise leave after 4pm :-). as it was we had breakfast and left too soon.

Well, at first, it was quite hard to find. I was looking for a single boat like the picture, But then after, it was very easy to come and go. The boat was very warm, very comfortable the breakfast was lovely you can smoke on the boat but you can't smoke in the boat, you can leave your food in the fridge use the microwave of a evening if you want, the owner provided exceptional service top marks, I will be going again.🌟👍 I didn't think the botel was safe. I thought it would be moving around. With the waves up and down being rocked like a baby on the Parents knee, but it was smooth. I will be going again at the end of the year.

The first few nights I was in my cabin trying to get some sleep the person next door was snoring quiet loudly, which didn't help my holiday was sleeping in the day time, but than the person left and I managed to get some well deserved sleep off a night time, that is the only thing I didn't like, but everything eles was spot on. 👍

Never stayed on a boat before, so the experience was great. The shower although doesn’t look the best was so warm and once the manoeuvering around was sussed was really enjoyable. The beds were the comfiest beds, absolutely nothing special to look at but I slept like a baby. The lounge/bfast area was very lovely and authentic. Rooms were ALWAYS so warm which in the colder season was a god send.

The rooms, bathroom, toilets and general communal areas ( not the dinning area ) could do with a spruce up which made the area look quite grotty and dirty. This made not a great first impression but we are not overly fussy and enjoyed the experience still. Paintwork, sealing just looked very tired and not done overly well. The communal bathroom / shower looked quite dirty again did not ruin our stay as we embraced the experience. Other guests were not overly self aware that their late night movements would affect the rest of the guests. Not the owners fault but the walls are SO SO thin the doors were banging a lot!

The boat cabins, though small, are big enough for two friends with a small porthole that can be opened for ventilation. The galley space is big and comfortable for working/chilling, and the breakfast is great. Staying on a boat so close to city center is a unique experience that I highly recommend.

The toilets are cramped and awkward and because there's only one per gender, they risk getting fouled by less-hygenic patrons. The showers are super tiny and directly in the public hallway. Use strategically and at your own privacy risk.

The boat is an atmospheric place for a short stay. The rooms are very small but cozy. Unfortunately I couldn't experience the boat ride to a different location, but staying in the boat itself was pleasant. The boat was clean, with some worn down things here and there. The owner responded quickly to the slightly leaking sink in the room. The breakfast was good, with simple but sufficient selection of things.

The walls are very thin and how well you can sleep depends a lot on what kind of quests are not just in the next rooms but all over the boat. Mild "damp" smell in the room. Not strong enough to bother me, but can be an annoyance for extra sensitive person

My room was really basic, literally just a bed a basin and a wardrobe, but it was perfect for what I needed it, which was basically just sleep in it. For less than the cost of a dormitory in a hostel, I had my own little private space, and it also included breakfast which was really good too. It's close to the central station and with a 10 minutes walk you are in Dam Square too. So, definitely not fancy, but convenient and economic.

I didn't need to take a shower while I was there, but not sure it would have been fun to do, as the bathrooms on my level were quite cold the whole time I was there (it was freezing in Amsterdam to be fair), not sure if there were other showers on the lower deck, but where I was, I think taking a shower would have been a bit of a challenge.

The breakfast was good and the Amsterdam location is excellent. The Zaandam location is a 10min walk from the train station (7 EUR 20min train back to Amsterdam Central station) with lots of shops and restaurants/takeaways nearby. If you're planning on spending a lot of time in your room this probably isn't the hotel for you, but if you want somewhere cheap, clean and safe where you can just pop when you need to sleep, then this would be a good choice.

The cabins are small and you definitely need pyjamas in the winter!! I enjoyed my stay but a thicker duvet would have improved my experience.

The fact that this is a ship is a good start. It was very clean, the beds were comfy, and having a sink in the room made it even better. The water was particularly clean so we drank from it as well, and it tasted good. Then, the common areas were very nice, the reception/lounge/breakfast area was warm and cozy, and above that, the rooftop was an amazing place for a snack, a drink, and an amazing view of the city!

There is hardly anything to say here. The only issue I can think of is it needs to be a bit cleaner on the rooftop.

Amsterdam is a very expensive city, but taking in consideration we stayed in a boat, it was a very good way to save money in the accomodation and city fees! The room is small, but it's a boat, so we were not expecting a 5 stars hotel, and we found it very comfortable, with good electricity and anything else. Shower worked good and the water was very warm. Just the breakfast didn't please us, and the staff never appeared or comunicated with us, they simply left instructions how to check in or checked out via message, but never talked to us directly. Couldn't pick a better location to stay in Amsterdam!

Staff could be a bit more open to talk and receptive, but besides that we did not have any problems ad for sure would book it again :)
