Great location just off the main square. The owner and his wife were friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for a solo traveler, on the second floor, compact but with 2 single beds. The room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was plentiful with all that you would expect, cereals, croissants, breads, yogurts, biscuits, fruits, cheeses and the option of a bespoke cooked breakfast. Excellent value for money. I’ve been to Ypres many times but have never stayed at the Ambrosia before, but now feel I’ve found my favourite. Thoroughly recommend.

Absolutely nothing to dislike.

Ambrosia is a privately owned hotel run by extremely friendly and welcoming owners and assisting staff. Its location is only five minutes walk from the main square and less than ten from the Menin Gate. Parking is available in free of charge zones less than 10 minutes walk from the hotel whilst pay parking is available outside or immediate area. The breakfast is really pleasant with hot bacon and eggs cooked to order whilst there is a continental choice to enjoy also. The rooms are comfortable and clean and offer flexible options if you are travelling as a family or friend willing to share. I have stayed at the Ambrosia before and will definitely do so again.

The location, welcome, and comfortable surroundings.

The staff arranged for a late check-in and helped me find a parking space, and followed up with a warm and friendly welcome. How unusual but pleasing to find an old fashioned suit case stand. The en-suite shower room was a good size and everything worked. The breakfast experience: the room, breakfast and atmosphere just surpassed all expectations.

Driving around Ypres in the dark, in the rain with a Sat-Nav that doesn't know the one-way system or location of no-entry signs.! and I should have checked the parking arrangements on map.Seety.co

Great location not far from main square and Menin Gate. Stayed with my parents as we were visiting some war graves of relatives. They had a lovely big room on ground floor. I had a twin in eaves which wasn’t quite as nice but very cosy. Lovely feel to the whole place, felt like home. Friendly staff at breakfast and she cooked bacon and eggs. Good breakfast buffet. Hot shower.

Nothing really just having to pay the same price for the room whether one person or two. But that’s normal though a small discount eg for breakfast would be nice!

This is a charming, family-owned hotel in a wonderful location. It's easy to walk to attractions in town. We can't say enough kind things about Vincent, one of the owners. He is a great host! He took an interest in why we came to Ypres/Ieper and gave us maps and advice on how best to spend our time. The room was very clean and it met our needs well. There is no elevator (as is common in Europe), so pack light and be prepared.

Nothing to criticize. We had a very pleasant stay.

This small family run hotel is ideally located for the centre of Ypres. It is a short walk to the main square and the Menin Gate. My room had two single beds under the eaves in the attic. It was clean and the towels smelled fantastic. The cooked breakfast although not huge was freshly prepared within your view and was delicious.

Unfortunately there is building work currently ongoing outside of the room window and they like to start work before 07.30. The pipe supplying the shower head is across the relatively small shower cubicle.

The location of hotel Ambrosia is perfect. It's very close to the town square and still very close to free parking. the advice and help given even before we set off was excellent and really helpful. When we arrived we were asked what sites we wanted to visit and were given given some solid advice and a free map. The breakfast was excellent with a good buffet and bacon and eggs cooked for you as you arrive (If you want). The rooms were very comfortable, if a little small, but very functional. Toiletries were very good and did the job perfectly. The welcome we received was much appreciated and made us feel very welcome!

Wonderful, welcoming staff. You can tell this is a family run hotel, the owners really look after you and are always open to a chat over a very lovely included breakfast. The room was comfortable and clean and we had use of a coffee machine and vending machine with wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks throughout. Perfect location to explore Ypres and beyond from a quiet location.

The room was small and a little dated, but this is reflected in the price, which was great value for the position - a 5 minute walk from the town centre.

The location of this lovely hotel is excellent. Vincent, the owner, was very helpful with where to park our car locally and also providing us with a map of the WWI sites and nearby places to visit. We also enjoyed the short stroll to the main square with the fantastic Cloth Hall housing the "In Flanders Fields" Museum which was an excellent place to visit. The choice at breakfast was very good too.

Aircon was perfect - coolish not freezing (it was 33 degrees when we were there). Breakfast was lovely, all food options were available and all were delicious. Staff (Pebbles) was super friendly and helpful on everything. Location was within 100 metres of the town square so it couldn't be any more convenient for spending time in Ypres.

There isn't any free parking particularly near but this is because Ypres is an old historical town. it would be the same if it were in the same location in, say, Oxford. Parked for free about 5 minutes walk away.
