We have stayed several times. Luis and his wife are very friendly. There used to be an on site restaurant that was run separate to the hotel. That has closed and now luis's wife cooks dinner and breakfast for you. It's very good home cooking. The hotel is an old 13th century manor house set in wonderful gardens. There are a few bars and restaurants 10 mins walk down the road.

The property is in a very beautiful area and on a dry day would be wonderful . The garden was really pretty even on a rainy day .

No English spoken whatsoever, which is fine for some .the room was cold but we asked for the heating and it was done .no hot drink facilities and nowhere to buy some .

This place is just magical, stunning and comfortable. Our room was in the actual tower (family room) and it was just amazing, like belonging to the medieval times and the view couldn't be better. I had the opportunity to get to know the history of this house and its ancestors.... The whole experience was just perfect.

This property is delightful! Both Louis and Fatima went above and beyond to make sure that we were made welcomed and looked after. I can honestly say that we have never stayed anywhere where we have been better cared for! We would travel out of our way to stay here again!!

Absolutely stunning location in beautiful surroundings. The host is very friendly and welcoming and explained to us the interesting history of the place. The attached restaurant was fully booked and we realised why after we had a fantastic meal in the evening. Wonderful experience on our way from Spain to France, I only wish we'd stayed longer.

We missed air-conditioning as it was quite hot and humid.

A more detailed route to find the hotel which was just off a main road, but sat nav took us through some very narrow roads.Parking is discreet and off road. Pet friendly and run by two elderly ladies. Animals everywhere from the lakes. The next door restaurant is a fabulous fish restaurant. It will serve coffee and toast for breakfast for 3.5 euros. Quirky place with lots of unusual charm. 11 miles from ferry.

Beautiful gardens ideal for our 2 dogs to relax after 10 hours travelling by car from Almeria.

The restaurant and bar was not open but a perfectly good restaurant close by. As a constructive suggestion to the very nice owner, some water & coffee making facilities in our room would have been appreciated in light of the closed bar & restaurant. We would stay again.

Great location for the ferry and also if just exploring the area. Really helpful friendly staff and no problem having our dogs with us. Restaurant onsite with good options on the menu. Beautiful grounds which I’m sure are lovely in good weather. It was a great find and we will be back.

this is a wonderful and beautiful property and historical house that was used for a variety of purposes over the centuries. Our room was in an old medieval tower and the design is very rustic and lovely. The grounds are also very beautiful and we enjoyed walking around the property. There is a restaurant right next to the hotel that serves wonderful Spanish food with a very serious cook! Although the hotel is rustic, the amenities are modern. We stayed in a very big room for the whole family and everyone had a great time.
