We loved our stay at the Morton Hotel. The location is amazing for both walking to theatres/popular areas and offers great bus/tube options. The room was very nice, clean and quiet. This must be one of the quietest hotels we've ever stayed even though it was a full house. The coffee/tea/biscuits daily replenished was much appreciated. We would stay at the Morton Hotel again for sure!

The hotel does not have the usual lobby/reception area. Once we checked in, we haven't been to the reception area for rest of our 5 day stay which is not a bad thing at all. My kid loved having the room card open the hotel doors :) It's just not the usual hotel feel you get with a proper lobby. Again, we did not mind it one bit.

Pleasant staff, very responsive when approached on any issue. Rooms well kept, as well as the hallways and other common areas. Practical bathroom arrangement with easy to reach hot-rack for drying towels; carefully executed floor inclination for the walk-in shower, insuring no water escapes the drain. Hot water coming on in seconds. Not much street noise penetrating the double windows on the fourth floor (apart from the occasional sirens).

Cleaning lady disposing off a full bottle of water which was deposited on the floor, next to the bed. Bathroom door latch would not catch, so the door would only be securely closed if the lock was used.

The hotel is in an excellent location, Russell Square Station (piccadilly line) is close to the hotel and connects to Holborn station (central line). There are excellent buses in the area. A 15-minute walk to Oxford Street. There are chain and hotel cafes in the area. There is a convenience store where you can buy almost everything you need. You should bring reusable shopping bags. You will hardly find plastic bags, only paper bags for money. Tip: From Russell Square station you can get to hetero international airport and vice versa. Just note that the train from Russell Square station does arrive to the airport, not every train does.

Great location — a short walk from Russell Sq tube station which made transport to the airport easy. Fairly quiet neighborhood in the evenings. Charming decor inside and fairly new amenities, with a fridge which is rare in the UK. Bar in the basement next to the reception.

A little confusing getting into the building as the reception is downstairs and they expect you to download an app / complete an online check-in for the app key which will def be challenging for those who aren't app savvy.

The hotel is lovely! The room was spotless and sweet - comfortable bed, spacious bathroom, great aircon which made the room a very comfortable temperature, and loads of extra finishing touches - fluffy robes, tea, coffee and fresh milk in a tiny bottle! The bar was stylish and comfortable with lovely drinks and the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. We appreciated being able to check in via the provided app. We definitely highly recommend the hotel and are looking forward to our next visit.

Nothing!

The room was nice: a big room in central London. That corner of Russel Square is busy, but on 4th floor the noise was fine. There's not many rooms per floor so hotel was pretty quiet overall. There's a branch of Leon nearby which is good for allergen-aware breakfast, and small supermarkets also very close.

The experience on arrival wasn't great. Even though we were typical arrival time (late afternoon), we had to buzz the door twice to get in, then long wait for lift (stairway locked until you have key so at that point you are trapped in small reception with no option but to wait for lift). Lift arrived rammed with laundry bags and barely enough space for us. Then had to wait several minutes at check-in for receptionist (who double as bar staff) to very slowly make a G&T for someone (involved having to walk somewhere else to get ice I think). Reception area was also littered with laundry bags and noisy staff hub. Completely different experience the next morning though (all very professional and rapid).

The location was excellent - right next to the tube which is on the airport line so it's super convenient. The room was really well set out with a super comfortable bed, spacious bathroom and well appointed tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast was in the little reception area but I would recommend the cafe directly across the road for really good coffee. Location close to the British Museum, green park, restaurants, theatres etc was a massive plus. Despite being on a really busy street, it was super quiet at night in my room.

There's a few steps leading up to the lift to get to reception. Reception isn't on the entrance level which was a bit confusing to begin with as you had to buzz to get in to the place. I was invited to use the app called "shackle" when I booked which was an absolute disaster from start to finish and I would've been better off just using the old fashioned methods of checking in at reception. The app was meant to be the key but it didn't work at all! The corridors on my floor were a bit cluttered with huge piles of red linen bags for most of the time I was there.

I've stayed here before and it's a very good hotel. Great location for London, handy for my work, short walk from a tube station. Great room: bright, clean, good layout with plenty of space.

Only one lift, so used by housekeeping and therefore often had to wait. Room was quite noisy at the front side of the hotel, previous rooms (at the back of the hotel) much quieter.

Can't say enough about this wonderful hotel. The first thing we liked about this property was the close proximity to the tube railway system. The surrounding area was lovely, with convenience stores close by, but away from the noise of the city centre. We stayed 1 night in a 1-bedroom apartment which was very clean and nicely decorated. All rooms were spacious, with the updated bathroom offering all you would need, including large, monogrammed towels. (Not sure where the cat fits in - is he Morton perhaps?) The sitting/lounge area was again spacious with plenty of seating options. The wi-fi was great - very fast! Whilst we didn't use the bar/sitting room downstairs due to limited time, it looked very cosy and inviting. We walked into the centre of London - whilst for some, it may be too far. Friendly reception staff. Would definitely stay here again and recommend.

Can't fault this hotel.

I had a fabulous time at the Morton Hotel. The location was perfect, the staff was incredibly helpful and kind and my room was lovely. I had a great place to end my day in London or stay in my room in the morning while I enjoyed my vacation. Highly recommend !

I could have liked a little more closet space in the room, such as a cabinet of drawers. Additionally, breakfast is always appreciated and while the cleaning staff was fantastic I would have appreciated fresh sheets more often.
