Absolutely everything was wonderful. Bacon, eggs, toast, muffins, fruit, cereal, coffee, tea, such a wonderful continental breakfast. The staff are amazing. The lodge chef was impeccable. From burgers to soups to steaks. The lodge smells so clean!! It’s pet friendly so be ready for pet stains in the carpet, in the rooms, but it’s clean. Very obviously been cleaned. The game room downstairs was fun. Full video collection, satellite tv. Spa tub. Pet lawn. Clean grounds. Wow. 🤯 Forest and Michelle were awesome servers. Front desk staff all ROCKED customer service. We are planning a trip back, JUST TO STAY HERE! While this was a business trip we felt so grateful to have found it.
Nothing.

The rooms are very nice. We stayed in 2 different rooms over a 3 night stay. Had to move one night which was fine. Staff handled everything expertly and efficiently. Beautiful views, wood burning fireplaces, jetted tubs…peaceful. Great continental breakfast everyday, wild turkeys running about on the grounds, enjoyed the birds and pond/waterfall.
Carpets need a shampooing. Really intensely stained in the second room we stayed in. Such a cheap easy fix to an otherwise beautiful room. Food for dinner not so great, we had pasta and it was basic and lacking seasoning, a little cold. The burger the next day however was awesome, chef really knocked it out of the park!! It was great great! Menu should be revamped. Offer a few sandwiches like a club at least, it’s a lodge so chili or soup or stews something in that vein. Once a week prime rib?

Never had breakfast. Dinner was disappointing in the sense that I received only a bowl of pasta, no bread, no salad or soup option. I waited 25 minutes for it and it was served warm, not hot. For $26, one would expect at least a piece of bread.
See liked info. Also, I came here again this year for my birthday as it was fantastic there last year. Very disappointing this time. I received no discount for food or drink, and no free dessert to celebrate my day. I received all of the above last year as well as my room was decorated. As I had stated in my reservation and on check in it was my birthday, I guess I expected the same treatment. Also, the microwave in the room does not heat anything..room 24. It’ll need to be replaced. I thought this would be my ‘go to’ spot for my birthday but I’ll have to think about it for the future. Please add a new item to your menu. Personally, there are only two items I’d choose to eat.

The Callahan house is amazing. Lots of space. Very comfortable space for a large group. We were very fortunate to arrive after new snow, so it was very beautiful. This home has it's own yard, so the kids had a lot of fun playing in the snow. There are 4 bedrooms and a good size living room. We had the perfect space for eating meals and playing games for our family getaway with a friend's family.
Just keep in mind that there may be challenges if you don't have a vehicle well suited for the snow. and ice The driveway is a little tricky. I was able to get in and out with a mini-van, I don't know if all would be comfortable doing so in the winter. My friend had a lower car, so she parked at the end of the driveway. In no way is this a deal breaker, just recommending to bring your best snow vehicle or high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle if you visit in the winter.

The room was spacious and the balcony had a beautiful view. We were unaware that the room came with a fireplace. While we didn't utilize this, it was an awesome option to have. The hot tub gave access to both the outside views of the balcony and the tv making it a great bonus.
The breakfast was disappointing. Already by 7:30am, there were no plates available. Water was not restocked and there was a limited selection of cereal, muffins, bagels, and self-made waffles. The elevator felt unsafe.

Conveniently located close to the I-5 but amid a gorgeous scenic location. Fireplaces and netted tubs in some rooms. Spacious bathrooms.
I didn’t mind, but the fireplace rooms burn real wood in an open fireplace (not a wood stove like many of us are used to) and thus they are a lil smoky and smell of the fireplace even when the fire is not lit. Also you can hear the noise of the interstate. Wasn’t a problem for me as I lucked out and stayed during a snow flurry. So the only traffic out were the trucks shoveling. But if you are a gentle sleeper this might affect you.

The lodge is lovely. The room is set up really well. Nice bathroom, excellent soaking tub, so much hot water, charming fireplace.
The continental breakfast was standard (aweful, better fare at gas stations). We had to go into town to get a lighter for the fire because the staff couldn't be bothered. Half the staff was great, and half had 0 interest in being there. The fireplace was very charming but not very efficient. The room was chilly the whole time. Despite my complaints I would stay again. The lodge, grounds and rooms are really nice. Bring your own food.

The restaurant/bar was lovely. Live music and they even allowed us to bring our dog in with us. People were all extremely friendly. The bed was very comfortable, with nice pillows. Room was clean and well stocked. Beautiful setting with views! I accidentally left my phone charging cord and they called to inform me within 10 minutes of leaving, which was great.
It would have been nice to have the front desk staff inform us about the hotel when we checked in, like where the fitness room was, that there was a game room and how to get to it, etc. Also, a booklet in the room could answer these questions as well as restaurant hours, menu, how to use the tv, etc. We found ourselves either calling or walking around the hotel to try to figure these things out. We thought that the restaurant offered breakfast options and headed in at 9am ready to eat. We were disappointed to see some cereal and a few other choices, but no hot food. Not even quite a continental, so we had to drive to town.

Rustic mountain lodge rooms, decorated nicely. Look of fireplaces and hot tubs. Dining room is beautiful lodge type- lots of windows and wood and large fireplaces.
Carpet is very worn everywhere and feels kinda old and dirty. Rooms and bathrooms were a bit dark. Fireplace unusable unless you come with fire starters or paper to get it started!

The grounds are attractive and the view from the balcony, air conditioning, and the private jacuzzi tub all added to our comfort. It's only a short drive from downtown and the facilities are pet friendly. When we needed a few things like plates and bowls to use the kitchenette, the staff were gracious and helpful!
There was some stress when we arrived because we had been put in the wrong type of room. Luckily, they were able to switch us to the correct room type before other affected guests arrived. There was also a ant problem in the room. Every time you set anything on the dining table or night stands, it would have ants on it within minutes. Once we realized, we hid our food in the fridge and our cooler and we're fine, but those surfaces were also sticky like maybe food residue from past guests was keeping the ants there.
