The bedroom was spacious and airy with excellent air conditioning and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were friendly and the breakfast was expensive but excellent. The location was quiet and convenient for the Port if you have a car.

It was good having the facility of the swimming pool but the whole area was tired and requires serious updating. We went for a swim but neither of us felt we wanted to stay in the sitting area which felt dingy and uncared for. The changing rooms were to say the least grotty. We had considered having a massage but we felt the area was not conducive. We were quite disappointed. Also , on our first night we decided to eat in the hotel dining room. The menu seemed reasonable but we were both quite disappointed at the quality if the main courses we had. My Skate Wings was overcooked I felt and my husband's Butter Chicken was acceptable but didn't set the taste buds alight. 😢

very clean, functional, if a bit lacking in character. staff were very pleasant, and were seen to be multi tasking. I would comment that the establishment would benefit from having additional staff to deal with customers. the shower was a hi lit of our stay

there not being any bar staff and having to wait to be served, both in the bar and in the dining room. the inconsistent information with regards certain policies. we were told dogs were not allowed in the dinning room, we left ours in the room only to find a couple with a dog at the next table

Jerry on the reception desk was excellent! She was friendly and attentive, and was happy to have a laugh & joke with our group. I would recommend that Jerry should get a pay rise, as she was covering the reception desk, the bar & the swimming pool almost single handedly, and she made our stay all the more entertaining. The hotel was clean & facilities were overall good (not that I ventured into the gym but I was told that the equipment was limited). The location was good for our bike trip & I liked that there was a lockable gate that was locked at 10pm as there were 5 expensive motorbikes in our group. The food in the restaurant was excellent on the second night (we all had a perfectly cooked steak with chips & salad). On the second day of our stay it was very wet, so we made use of the pool, sauna & steam room (there was even an aqua-aerobics class you could get involved with if that's your thing)

The chef was off sick on the first night of our stay, so with 5 of us in our group we took 2 taxis into town to have dinner. Thankfully the chef had recovered by the second night to allow us to eat in the restaurant. I would have thought with this being a 4 star hotel there would have been a junior chef that could have stepped up to save us having to go into town after a days riding, or even a basic menu that could be offered. The WiFi was very hit & miss, and the code could only be found in reception but it seemed as soon as you left your room the WiFi dropped out.

Lovely clean pool. Snooker and football tables in very good condition, beside reception. Secure carpark. Proximity to city centre.

Restaurant menu limited. Staff seemed to be new or unfamiliar with facilities. I am not used to staying in.dog friendly hotels so I found that difficult to eat in an indoor restaurant with 2 or 3 dogs beside me. Also, all patrons should be reminded to dress appropriately and be mindful of others in common areas.

A well placed property with great facilities and above all excellent staff, they were friendly and helpful at all times. The lady who did front of house in the restaurant in the evening was so nice and went out of her way to arrange an off menu item for a very fussy eater. Our party included a 10 month old with a 10 month olds social and eating skills and this didn’t phase her at all, really made the stop special. The lady organising the breakfast area was equally accommodating.

Amazing cleanliness, comfortable beds, great pool, sauna, steam room, hot tub, superb breakfast with plenty of choices! The bathrobes were a great surprise and small hygiene kits were absolutely unexpected surprises!

There was a slight noise overnight, not sure where exactly coming from, possibility outside. Not enough to wake one up, but perhaps enough to stop someone falling asleep if woken up. The fridge looked like a mini bar so weren't sure whether the drinks inside were complimentary or for extra charge? Chose not to have them, if it was explained somewhere it would be better.... The great leisure facilities were absolutely amazing and we didn't get a treat like that anywhere before! The communication about not walking in the hotel in bathrobes and kids not being allowed to steam room and sauna would be preferred beforehand rather than in the pool area. Please take it as constructive feedback, since we had a FANTASTIC time! Thank you a million!

The multi-tasking staff could not have been more helpful e.g. providing fresh milk for those who like tea with milk. Even though it was Sunday evening a very good evening meal was available at a reasonable price. Superb choice and quality of breakfast (included in price). Whole experience highly recommended.

Everything was perfect! the location, the facilities, the room…. not to mention the impeccable staff who were absolutely wonderful, kind and went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. For a spa hotel that has only been open a matter of weeks, any previous negative reviews should be totally disregarded because this place and the staff are outstanding. We travelled the lengths and breaths of Europe and the staff at Golden Tulip were the most incredible people we met. Thank you all so much

We were very disappointed that the restaurant menu was really limited. Only 3 choices. We walked to a nearby restaurant which was fine. Had it been pouring down with rain it would not have been good. No buffet available for evening meal even though it advertised this on there own website. Poor

The room was comfortable and the bathroom was modern and very clean. We booked the restaurant for evening meal the service was excellent. The food was amazing and great value for money. Very close to the ferry port. Would definitely recommend and great for family’s.

Breakfast was ok plenty of choice, we went down at 8.45 am by then the hot food was cold.
