We love this neighborhood and have stayed in various boutique hotels nearby. Casa Pani is staffed by really nice, welcoming people and hits a few details other hotels miss, including refillable filtered water in the room, a delicious breakfast and a communal kitchen. We had just flown in from overseas and woke up very early. It was so nice to go downstairs and make a pot of coffee in the French press while we waited for breakfast to be served a bit later. We took the opportunity to tour the other rooms since we were the only guests and each one is very unique. The one thing they all had in common, was a king-sized very comfortable bed with large pillows. We will definitely stay here again.

While some of the decor feels a bit dated, mainly area rugs, there is a nice attention to detail. They're definitely going for a vibe...maybe late 70s. There really isn't anything not to like. It's a nice place, very clean and friendly staff. I'm not sure how I'd feel about the breakfast with a bunch of other travelers, however, the hotel is small, so it wouldn't likely be too many other people.

Beautiful setting in a quiet neighborhood but walking distance to a lot of places. Fantastic breakfast by Katty! Private terrace overlooking the church for a lot of sun and was a lovely bonus.

Could have received overall better communication before the stay RE checkin instructions, questions, etc. Also, made two reservations and the second one was cancelled (a week before) when they realized they overbooked. Noise when hot water was used as someone mentioned in a previous comment but was aware so it didn’t bother us.

The breakfasts were excellent. The room had a unique view and the bathroom was spacious. Access to the private roof deck was nice. The location is on a quiet street in a colonia that is not heavily touristed like Condesa or Roma. It was interesting to stay in the former home of Mario Pani as we were traveling as a party consisting of architects and designers.

The hot water tank heater on the roof was very loud and anytime someone used hot water, i.e. taking a shower, or washing hands, it would go off. There is no air conditioning but in Mexico City that is usually not a problem. The spiral staircase to the rooms is a unique feature but anyone with mobility issues might have problems.

We loved it here! Unassuming from the outside and on a quiet block, but inside everything is beautifully appointed, cozy and elegant. The room was spotless, the bed was huge and so comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and had excellent water pressure/temperature. The staff was helpful and communicative. And the common areas (the little indoor/outdoor jacuzzi, the shared kitchen and the lounge area) were inviting and full of plants.

I only wish we'd had a few more nights there to enjoy it.

Very nice people. The bathroom was very nice and confortable. The breakfast was amazing.

The room was at the 3rd floor and there was no elevator . It was very hard to get everything over there. The last day, they helped me get my luggage down. Didn't use the jacuzzi because it was uncomfortable, in the middle of everything.

Breakfast was excellent. Staff very accommodating. A little further out than we thought from sights we wanted to see but that was our fault. We would definitely stay here again and just plan to take Uber instead of walking.
