The beds were comfortable. The room was clean and great size for 4. The breakfast was good. The rooftop bar was pretty and had drinks and bar food to choose from with live music. The location was amazing and walking distance to everything. View of the river and sunset was beautiful. Cool to see the container ships go by. Enjoyed using the app for room controls, check in and valet.
Construction is happening. Jackhammer started going off above our heads at 8am on a Saturday morning. Valet $45 a night, it was always slammed busy. Ony 2 elevators, constantly packed. Housekeeping didn't clean up room or empty trash. Request for a later check out was given 30 minutes.

There were several things to love about this hotel - the location was wonderful; the complimentary breakfast was one of the best we've ever had; the staff in the breakfast area were amazing, as was Julie on the rtb. The makeup mirror in the vanity area was also a welcome addition.
The balcony door in our room (#604) was damaged prior to our arrival and could not be latched properly- and because we were there during Hurricane Helene (fortunately, just a tropical storm in the Savannah area), the door was sucked in and out all night making quite a racket. There were also several tornado warnings throughout the night, but we never received any notification from the hotel on where we should go. That would have been helpful. The room was nice, but barely big enough for 4 adult travelers. There just wasn't enough storage for clothes, toiletries, luggage, etc. for all of us.

The front desk staff was very friendly , the room was clean and the bed was comfy. The location was nice because it's in the downtown area of the city which made it convenient to shops and restaurants, everything is in walking distance. My daughter and I was 5 minutes late to the ending of breakfast, no one accommodated us, the staff was more so in a hurry to clean up but we did have cereal because it was still available. Lastly. I loved the personal touch with my name on the T.V, as a welcome message.
I thought the layout of the bathroom was very odd but otherwise it was useable.

The ladies at the front desk were wonderful....always friendly with a cute comment. Love the lady who works most nights!!! The valet guys were great...there was one left alone working one night, but he still hustled to make it happen. The rooms were clean, as was the hotel lobby and hallways. LOVE the scent piped in by the hotel, smells very refreshing and clean! The showers were incredible, beds comfortable, extra blankets, and pillows were great. Air worked exceptionally well. Rooftop was entertaining and loved the view. Kids filled the pool every time we went up so we never swam ourselves, but the pool was pretty. Liked being on the end of the River Walk, especially after seeing all the craziness over the weekend from the other end with the clubs and craziness. This end was definitely much more calm and serene. Great to be able to easily text the valet and our car would be ready out front. Really enjoyed the kitchen facilities in the room as well as the sofa sitting area. And LOVED having liquid soap in the bathroom.... I typically pack my own so this was a bonus for me! Ceiling fans were also a nice touch.
Didn't like not having any forewarning that construction was going on in a portion of the hotel...however there were no noise issues at all during our stay...just would have liked to be aware. We purposely chose this hotel for the back exit that "dumped" you out on the main road next to the Pirate's House vs. on River Street...however this was not available and blocked off from construction, so we did have to walk around and up the large hill and steps, which is difficult with our disabilities.... The breakfast does need some improvement. The coffee and bagels, however, were always great! And just being petty but maybe something so that the towels are not as rough... they felt like sandpaper..???? Maybe a little more lighting at the bathroom sink...it was a little dark getting ready.

I loved that the rooms were sizable, comfortable and very cozy! They were modern and sleek, the name on the TV at check in was a cute touch and having youtube/netflix on the TV saved some extra headache connecting laptops for movies or shows at night! The rooms were clean and cozy, the staff was very friendly and always greeted us and legitimately made the stay one of the best vacations we've taken so far! Free breakfast is definitely a bonus, it was super fresh gives you plenty of time to make it. We were always early so didn't see much of a crowd but I imagine that it gets a little crowded later.
The $45 required valet parking. As much as the security and flexibilty of it was nice, if I hadn't booked the cancellation allowed rate, I would have cancelled after seeing that and missed out on the wonderful stay. It's a little excessive. While I'm not against it, I would be more likely to leave a larger tip directly to the valet had it not felt like such a burden on the additional huge chunk to my vacation budget. Either a lower price or give us optional free parking nearby somewhere.

I always pay for a Riverview because I enjoy watching the water and the large ships hauling materials back and forth on the river. I enjoy shopping at the huts on the riverside. I love having a large choice of restaurants to go to. Savannah candy kitchen is always a stop when in Savanah. The Bar on the top floor has good activities, food and drinks. Hotel staff was friendly and greeted us (Gina, Che'mere), staff of valets were fast and friendly when getting our car (Randy). Always enjoy the city.
This is the second time I have had to request a different room. As stated, I pay the extra and request a room with the river view. The first room did not have a Riverview. I see that a lot of construction is going on, on both sides of the hotel. My first view was at the hotel next door. I requested a room with a view and was placed in one that had a view. This is the second time I have had to request a better room, when staying at this hotel. I was pleased with the room that I was switched to.

Liked the size of the room ad the view. The air conditon was on point an comfortable. The bed was nice and firm. There was a large kitchen area with all the ammenities in it including a full size refrig. The rooftop with pool was awesome with great cocktails. The hotel is located close to everything!
The room was very nice but the fan ran constantly in the bathroom. There was no switch to turn it off. The toilet was lose! There was not ICE in the ice machine on the 6th floor. Stayed 3 nights and there was no ice in the machine each night. Ther were no towels each night up on the rooftop pool. The construction around the hotel made it dificult to walk to different areas.

Everything- the staff was friendly & helpful from valet, to check-in, to room needs (roll away bed), to DJ on rooftop, to breakfast personnel!!! When you enter, the first thing you notice is the lovely SMELL!! The amenities this hotel offers is extraordinary!!! The location on River Street is nice b/c it’s just far enough down that it isn’t too busy. The cute store downstairs has necessities, but also cute items for visiting guest- Savannah related. :) Our room was nice - full size fridge/freezer, sink, stove, dishwasher, sofa bed, etc. They even brought up a roll away bed for us right after checking in since we had an extra guest we had not originally planned for! VERY accommodating! The Rooftop bar, cabana, pool, tvs, & comfy chairs are a HUGE plus for any age guest! The views from the top are also amazing! We were able to see ships coming & going on one side & some of the city on the other side! The FREE breakfast was the BEST breakfast I’ve ever seen at a hotel! They had staff making mini or full size waffles for you on the spot - with an array of toppings! There was a hot buffet with scrambled eggs, breakfast potatoes, & sausage. They also had other items such as: cereal, yogurt, toast, bagels, etc. There were many choices for drinks- water, apple juice, coffee, hot chocolate, orange juice, etc. There wasn’t anything I didn’t LOVE!
Nothing :)

The rooms were spacious and clean, my favorite room were the river fronts with balconies very large with two desks and televisions, full size refrigerator in all-of there suites as well as the roof top pool with a bar that opened at noon-11pm; the location was perfect especially after some strolling along the river front due to the fact this hotel has a secluded feel but in a few steps to the left you’ll find everything, and yes, there were other hotels in the crowded areas but none of them where as nice and as relaxing, this hotel is huge and they were booked solid my whole stay but the way it is set up and where it is located I didn’t feel smothered by large crowds at all in any area and the aura of the hotel was relaxed, but safe. I went to Home wood alone as a woman and am not techno savvy but I was craving Chinese food and was not familiar and did not have the app for DoorDash, I did have the Uber app, however, and the front desk help me to get the Uber driver to take me where I wanted to go, the gentleman that was working at the front desk with the two lovely ladies, and I will mention their all of their names later, but a man that was working there named Ty knew I was nervous about going there because it was late and it was dark and the area that I was getting the Uber to. It was a little risky so because he saw I was fearful about getting the Uber back and it was very late and dark and not along the historical river front offered to walk me back after I was finished eating (it wasn’t a short walk) he went above and beyond his duties of employment and at this time off the clock) he was so nice and respectful that I teared up a little because of my appreciation and the man did this with no benefit for him what so ever, (I’m sure after a long busy day he just wanted to go home but he took time out his own Tito do this. I can’t say anything but good about Home Wood Suites I left there two days ago and am looking forward to going back soon.
I like the property , I would have liked to have had room service of breakfast and dinner only because I’m not acquainted with DoorDash.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel. The rooftop bar and pool had an amazing atmosphere, live music and was actually very family-friendly. The facilities were very clean and smelled amazing. The beds were comfortable. The location was amazing and it’s right on River Street. the rooms have a pullout couch bed, Stove, refrigerator and dishwasher. The shower had great water pressure and was amazing. The staff was very helpful and friendly and accommodated any request that we had. I highly recommend this hotel if you are wanting to stay on River Street.
There is mandatory valet parking, which cost $45 a day plus any tips you leave, so that price seemed a little steep to me. The only other complaint would be the room was a little bit small and the view we had is of a construction site with some construction workers that came by the window, but there is a pull down privacy blind, so that wasn’t really an issue. There is really other, no complaints, because we had a wonderful stay!
