Room was spacious and clean.

Hotel is being refurbished and looks bad. Reception is a desk in a corridor. Not a good look. They should discount prices during the work. Plenty of other options for the same or better price in Queenstown.

Good things about this hotel were: We loved the easy access to the waterfront directly out of our room. The waterfront path took us to town or back up to the airport, depending on which way we chose to walk. It was clean, and there was a beautiful view of the lake directly outside the window. The room was also slightly angled away from the rest of the building giving a sense of privacy, which we appreciated. The bed was very comfortable, and we were able to get some groceries to store in the refrigerator then reheat in the microwave. The hotel provided a complimentary shuttle service to take us downtown. We just needed to call the front desk to give a heads up when we wanted to go (and return) based on fixed times and then a driver would take us directly into the city centre.

Not so great things about the hotel were: It wasn't made clear to us before we arrived that a significant portion of the building was under renovation. So when we arrived, initially, it looked like we were staying in a construction site (this wasn't actually the case, but the first impression was not great). The ergonomics of the room were a bit clumsy - there was a round table in front of the window and big cushioned chairs which were too big for the space and made maneuvering between the bed and the "dining" area very awkward.

Beautiful open house with superb lake views. We were in 2nd floor.Would prefer higher floor for uninterrupted views.Full kitchen but with minimal supplies.Nil kitchen towel provided so bring ur own paper towels and liquid dishwashing soap if u intend to cook.Closer to airport but further to Qtown city centre.Shuttle bus service for free to and from city centre is very convenient, just inform reception for time booking.Otherwise uber cost is around $16 one way.Staffs were awesome and very engaging and accomodating. Would love to stay here again.

Our lakeview was interrupted by the trees in front of the house..nevertheless..lakeview was still superb.

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment. It had beautiful views over the lake and was very large, with a huge kitchen and living area and two separate bathrooms. Great to have zoned air conditioning so that we could have different bedrooms at different temperatures. While slightly out of town, it was still very convenient and we were able to park on site. There was a shuttle available although we didn't use it.

The shuttle was limited in hours - it only went once per hour and not in the middle of the day which was a bit restrictive. It would have been good if you could call the shuttle when you were ready to use it. The reception staff were also very offhand. When we arrived they were chatting to each other and despite there quickly being a queue of four separate people wanting to check in, they continued chatting to each other about their weekend plans, and then when one of them did finally ask if they could help us, the other one studiously ignored the rest of the queue. However, the other staff I dealt with during the stay (housekeeping) were very friendly and helpful.

The room was beautiful and clean & also had floor to ceiling windows to showcase the amazing view. Location was great as it is literally a couple minutes to the centre of town by car or 1/2 hr walk that leads around the lake.

The parking setup. I pre-booked parking & paid $15 a day to be able to park in the reserved parking bays. Unfortunately this was not managed very well & even tho I paid for the privilege to park, there were rarely any carparks available, it was very frustrating. A microwave in the "hotel" room would've been a good addition, especially for solo travellers such as myself.

Beautiful spacious rooms and bathroom at the front of the hotel (lake-side). Easy 25-30 min walk to Queenstown, and affordable enough parking. Very friendly staff, and very clean throughout.

Under heavy construction currently - which is good for the hotel eventually, but worth noting right now. All rooms are adjoining, so if you have loud neighbours (which we did) there are very few options. Bottom-floor rooms have a door leading out to the lakeside walkway to walk to Queenstown - but you cannot lock this door from the outside, so you have to traverse through the entire hotel to get out, which is a little frustrating. That door could be a wonderfully simple way to leave the hotel and return immediately. I was not given the option to pay in advance, so I had to pay the credit card surcharge which amounted to about $40, which is ultimately a total waste of money when I could have easily paid in advance.

The size of the apartment was huge! Could comfortably stay for longer. Good size kitchen, huge balcony, good size living room, and beautiful view of the lake and remarkables. They also offered a free shuttle to the town centre. The photos don’t do it justice. I thought the furniture looked a bit dated but when we arrived, it was completely fine. Love having a kitchen because we were able to save money by cooking breakfast and dinner (Queenstown can be a bit pricey).

The cooking utensils needed to be replaced. Couldn’t cut an onion as the knife was so blunt. Parking is a bit tight so be cautious of what car you have. There is a bit of construction going on which wasn’t noted on booking.com (only saw this in the reviews and then read it on oaks website. However this was fine - didn’t obstruct the view or wasn’t noisy. Was only a bit of a pain getting in and out of the carpark).

I booked a penthouse for a four-night stay, which was a fantastic choice due to its stunning lakeside views and the exceptionally helpful staff. Waking up to the beautiful lake each morning was a highlight, and the staff's attentiveness and local recommendations significantly enhanced my experience. The penthouse itself was luxurious yet comfortable, featuring high-quality furnishings and modern amenities, making my stay both memorable and delightful.

During our visit, we observed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. This is an important consideration for potential guests, as it may impact the overall experience. Additionally, we found that parking facilities were somewhat restricted. The available spaces were limited in number and quite narrow, posing a challenge for maneuvering larger vehicles. Furthermore, it's worth noting that the approach to the parking area involves a steep incline. This aspect might require additional caution and skill from drivers, particularly those unfamiliar with such terrain. The combination of ongoing construction, limited and tight parking spaces, along with the steep access route are factors that guests should be aware of when planning their stay.

The property is only recently renovated so my room was lovely and with an incredible view. While the rest of the property is under construction, including reception it has been setup in a way to limit disruption, there was no impact to my stay because of this. And in fact i stayed longer in Queenstown because of the favourable room rate. I was happy for the trade off. The bed is also very comfortable and felt like my bed at home, i slept like a log! I was also very impressed and appreciative of the included shuttle bus, while not running all the time i caught it 50% of the time along with a few taxis/Ubers and also walking, which is only about 30mins along the lake. I loved this place and i would look to stay here again when i return.

The view in the promo pics of the room was the reason I booked this property. They exceeded my expectations. The apartment was spacious, well appointed and we even had a hot tub on our balcony. I was really nervous after reading a handful of reviews that were negative due to parking and renovations occurring, but the staff were extremely helpful and explained everything well. And we were certainly not bothered by noise at any time. The property is about 2km from the centre of town, but there is a shuttle bus that runs at various times of the morning and evening and this was helpful. Highly recommend this property if you want to spoil yourself a little after a long day of exploring and adventure

The renovations mean that there is limited parking. If you miss out on an allocation for one or more nights if your stay, currently have to park offsite, across a busy road. Slightly challenging! But it was the best option given the circumstances. Renovations due to finish in 2025 some time. The only issue though that we encountered.
