I have stayed here many times on visits to Cardiff. Lovely clean spacious rooms. Quiet at night. Lovely public area at reception. Fabulous position for shopping/sightseeing. Great bar and restaurant. I only had breakfast but the selection and quality of food is very good. Great pool.and spa facilities. Not far from Queen St Station and walkable from Cardiff Central if you haven't got too much luggage.

Steam room and hot tub were both out of action which was a real shame as it was one of the principal reasons for me choosing this hotel. Not the management's fault as things do break.

The hotel was fabulous from the moment you walked in, the lounge area was lit with a fire a very warm atmosphere. The room was very clean and the bed was really comfortable, the room came with clean towels tea and coffee making facilities and a complementary bottle of water. The spa and swimming pool were spotless and even though we took our own towels to the pool we were given towels by the kind gentleman that worked in the spa. The breakfast was beautiful and even though checkout was 12pm we were still allowed to used the spa and swimming pool facilities after the checkout time. Highly recommend the park plaza and will definitely we going back again. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

I was familiar with the hotel and picked it for that reason. My daughter and I were coming for a day of spending Christmas money so the hotel is ideally located close to the town centre. Room was comfortable and functional and had everything we needed. Public areas looked beautiful with all the Christmas decs still up. We parked in the NCP opposite where hotel guests get a discount on the parking rate. We had a quick meal of burger in the Laguna bar at night which was good and there was plenty of choice at breakfast.

I can't really find anything to fault - the coffee at breakfast wasn't great but other than that, no complaints.

Great location, great amenities available on site. Bed was super comfy and the room was clean. There was luggage storage available so we were able to leave cases before going into the city that morning. Then room was ready early so we were allowed an early check in too which was so appreciated as was travelling with a child. The room was quite cold, but there was an extra oil filled radiator left in the room, which made it nice and toasty. Room was a great size. Had a great stay. We didn't book breakfast or use room service but was great to have these options available.

The furniture was a bit dated and showing signs of wear and tear and the carpet was very worn in parts. Could do with a revamp. Although this had no impact on our stay. I expected something more luxurious for a 4* stay.

Breakfast was very good and set us up for the morning. The room was spacious with a comfortable bed, and tea, coffee etc was fine. The room was quiet - a view of a car park, but that didn't matter as we were out through the daylight hours!

The shower, bath and wash basin operation was a little bit complicated until we got familiar with it, and it was easy to leave taps or shower dripping. The hair drier was not working - we didn't realise until the first morning, but then reported it to Reception and it had been replaced by the evening when it was needed again. I also had to request more tea bags as they had not been topped up, neither had the chilled water bottle in the fridge been replaced. The room looked a little "tired" with scratches in the enamel in the bath, and two cuts across the seat of the desk chair.

after shopping , the hotel lobby was warm and inviting where the staff were helpful , friendly and welcoming rooms were beautiful comfy and spacious very clean with everything you need. we had a meal before checking in so ordered snacks from room service after using the facilities which were great breakfast was also lovely just what you need with lots of variety cooked breakfast pastries fruits yogurts porridge juices and tea and coffee etc and all fresh we enjoyed it !

the Jacuzzi was out of order so only the pool and steam room to relax in . people were swimming lengths so you can't just r lazy in there or your in the way.I found the pool area very dark and dreary it needs some more lighting to brighten the area up and the relaxing spa music that is in the changing rooms maybe play by the pool too to create a more relaxing atmosphere.

We were going on a coach tour to Torquay. We caught a bus from Caerphilly to Cardiff - and was dropped off just outside the Park Plaza Hotel. In the morning, the coach company picked us up from the same bus stop. So the location was brilliant! Staff were very welcoming and friendly. We had a meal from the Sunday Roast Menu, which was exceptional. Breakfast gave us a great choice of good quality and quantity of food. Our room faced a courtyard, and considering we were in the middle of a city, it was very quiet. I will definitely be staying in The Park Plaza again.

The room was a v good size with comfortable bed. Location was close to the college of music and drama where I needed to be and a short walk from the shops and restaurants. There was a good variety of food available at the buffet breakfast and I felt that it was value for money. Staff both in the dining room and on reception were excellent.

The location of the room at the front of the hotel and the lack of adequate double glazing meant that I could easily and regularly hear the buses outside in the bus lane.

Staff were friendly and attentive , hotel very clean and spa area is lovely

On arrival we were informed the reception were quickly doing a handover and wouldn't be a moment, my wife and I waited when another person walked in went to the desk and was immediately booked in. On booking 2 spa treatments I had to mention to the spa reception there should be a 10 percent discount as we had received a notification a few days prior to our stay to which were asked to show proof of a email or text something surely the spa reception should be aware of and ask before just trying to charge full price.

The tree lined room and the dining room overlooking the river and trees. The lovely large bath and overhead and hand held shower head. The bed was very comfortable. Enjoyed use of the lovely pool which again overlooked the river and trees. Staff were very helpful and polite. Excellent location, just of the main shopping area, but felt much further away towards Bute Park. Easy walk to Cardiff Castle for our event.

The sink plug in the room was broken. However this was fixed the same day as we reported it. The bath/ shower switch to get the correct combination took a little getting used to. The front of the hotel could do with a lick of pain to reflect the lovely interior decor.
