This is a clean and comfortable, basic motel. The motor lodge is across the parking lot from the inn and restaurant, a five-minute walk. Everything works, the room is clean and bright, a little pricey but good, reliable quality and comfort. They now have new key fobs in place of the key cards that were not working. The restaurant is reasonable for breakfast.

Check in at the Inn is a little awkward, but it works.

Because they gave away our rooms they switched us to the main hotel and gave us very nice rooms.

I had ordered 2 king size rooms. The night desk claimed I had ordered 2 queens. When I told him no pretty sure its supposed to be 2 king size. He acted as if I was lying and gave me a very cold shoulder. I have the confirmation as proof.

They gave me the perfect ADA compliant room that I needed, and it was very comfortable.

This was not Carson Vly Lodge's fault -- this is Booking.com's fault: Booking.com did not tell us we had to check in at a separate location, down the road a few blocks. Booking only gave us the address of the Lodge, but we had to check in elsewhere and we were not told where to do that... that is a mistake by Booking, not by Carson Vly Lodge.

first time staying here (we usually stay at the Carson Valley Inn/Casino) did not want to stay at casino, (they also have an RV park) and glad we did not (casino hotel very nice), but this was nice and quiet and it was what we needed after a 550 mile drive. Perfect. would stay here again.

nothing really bad - remote batteries died and the phone in room had some issues but they are on top of everything you need. we had a ADA room and it was perfect

We needed a wheelchair-accessible room. The Front Desk Clerk gave us an ADA room in the main Carson Valley Inn. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A small night light in the bathroom would be a great addition to the room, especially for a disabled person.

The motor lodge is a reasonable value, walking distance to downtown, and on the bus route. The restaurant in the Inn is convenient for breakfast.

Checking in at the Inn, hiking over to the motor lodge, and there often seems to be an issue with the room key. Price is a little high.

We had a handicapped room so we could be sure there were grab bars in the shower. (The last hotel we stayed did not have bars and I had to be very careful so I wouldn’t fall). It was in a great location. Very quiet. We had housekeeping service without having to request it. We both have CPAPS and we didn’t bring an extension cord because our previous accommodations have outlets in the lamps. I called guest services and told them of our predicament. Housekeeping arrived within minutes…we described what we needed and she came back with an extension cord. Problem resolved. She went out of her way to help us.

The WiFi didn’t work. I repeatedly tried to get WiFi on my iPhone & IPad with no success. I tried in the restaurant to sign on and it worked there.

Staff was very kind, free room upgrade so wouldn't have to walk to lodge in the cold. Housekeeping throurough and nice. Clean. Katys was the best! Exceptional food and staff. Spa and pool were clean. Smoking hotel but couldn't smell smoke. Overall exceptional

Reception staff are a bit grumpy. Felt my questions were a chore and he would rather not be answering them. Had issues with digital key not working. The guys who fixed the door were great and very quick to help

The staff at the gas station convenience store were friendly and helpful. The store stocks interesting and useful items at reasonable prices. The main restaurant at the hotel is convenient with fast and friendly service.

The lodge is a little walk from the hotel. It is not clear if lodge guests can use the hotel pool and other amenities. Room price is a little high.
