The friendly & efficient service by various staff did it for me, along with the spotless cleanliness of the room. Loved the personal touch of a welcome card and homemade biscuits upon entering the room, as well as the availability of an iron & ironing board. Every necessity inside the room was in tip-top condition.

The exterior of the hotel needs a bit of work, as by judging that alone, one could rob oneself of a pleasant stay inside. The only thing that was sorely missed inside the room was the air conditioning, as the poor ceiling fan did its utmost best against the excruciating (35degrees)heat!

All staff are excellent in their different portfolios, they did make my stay as comfortable and pleasant, to all that i required. The view from the room that I occupied was the best of both, meaning having roadside and bayside views, I must compliment the chef for the delicious and plentiful breakfast that was provided.

The only downside was the availability of the number sachets of the hot drinks in the room, my personnel opinion is that management must improve on this, so that this fact does not short change the good service that is provided, to end off Little Things in or to Life accounts for a Lot.

My second time at Hoedjies Bay. First time with my 2 sons and this long weekend (Easter) with my mom. We enjoyed the view and room, as all ways, very neat, tidy and comfortable. We just realised, maybe next stay on other side of the hotel or closer to the front (we were in room 31). Food was amazing and friendly staff. Sunday was a good one with amazing food and entertainment x.

Noise of vehicles and motorcycles racing up and down especially during the evening was annoying

We got caught up in a storm from Cape Town and was running extremely late. We received a call to check if we are still coming. This was great, they did not just accept no arrival but went the extra mile. This was our 2nd stay and we will be staying again soon. Breakfast is lovely, rooms are clean and comfy and the staff is very friendly. There is a salon on the first floor. This time i decided to use it and the staff and clients was extremely welcoming.

The hotel has a lot of character and the staff is super friendly. Perfectly located and right on the beach. It is clean and the rooms are comfortable. The breakfast was lovely prepared and served with smiles. The breakfast room has a stunning view as well.

Nothing, but I would suggest that they do have a bit of milk in the fridge. For the price that we paid, one would expect enough coffee, etc, and milk in the fridge.

Fantastic View, Amazing breakfast, Stunning Staff service! Would have like it if there was a little fridge to put our water in, but not a problem - staff was very willing to bring us ice every day with no problem for them. Thanks again for a stunning stay.

That the staff did not always know what specials was running for what day and the specials did not match what was shared with us from the manager before hand - but again, did not spoil the holiday or our stay.

Booked double and twin rooms. On arrival they gave me 2 twin rooms and blamed booking. com for this mistake they use to do on a regular basis. My replied to them was by now you should have short this out with booking. com to avoid these ongoing mistakesl. They swapped rooms with someone else and gave us a double room. Also the cleaning staff was at our room to clean on our way out. On returned the room was still dirty only changed towels. I had to sort out with manager and they cleaned the the room. Really not nice.

I loved the sea view, the breakfast was OK, it was filling. The rooms were neat and tidy. The bedding was clean. Room service was great! The balcony with the Seaview was just what we needed, we could go in and out and didnt feel trapped, thank you. Thank you for fixing the lift so quickly.

The wifi or lack thereof. I was very disappointed. I had very loud neighbors the Saturday night and I could have complained but I decided to rather not.

Loved the amazing and friendly staff and beautiful view! Also liked the fact that there is a restaurant on the premises so I didn't have to go out looking for food (and the pizza was amazing! 🤭) .. Loved the fact that there is breakfast included in the price so overall I was happy!

There is a problem with the shower in my room (which they only told me about when I enquired about it when I checked out) so I thought - let me take a bath then - just to see there is no bath plug .. So I awkwardly splashed myself with water trying to get clean so maybe just check that all the bathrooms has a bath plug.

Everything was absolutely amazing. The view was beautiful. The breakfast was out of this world, super delicious. Rooms were clean. Staff were super friendly as well. Overall, a great stay.

We were not informed that the generator does not power the rooms. My father-in-law has sleep apnea, and uses a breathing machine while he sleeps, due to the rooms not having any electricity even through the generator was running (and there was an event on the 3rd floor which was fully powered) my father-in-law had all of 2h30min sleep for the night due to loadshedding. These things should be stated upon arrival if not on the website.
