Where do I begin with this review. It is a very sentimental one because this hotel has made my son’s 6th birthday a memorable one and extra special. It started at and from check-in. We reported to front reception, I gave my details and a lady, I forgot to take her name, could address my son on his name, welcoming Quinn with such warmth and kindness. Little did we know that to be but the beginning of a beautiful stay and little surprise. When check-in was done, we headed to the room just to find little memorable surprises. On the one bed there was a personalized birthday car, with a little gift pack. On the other bed there was balloons with a little party packet with snacks. Just to find that on the table was a plate with chocolate writing: Happy  6th birthday and a cupcake with his favorite color frosting: blue and a yellow candle. To us it meant the world. The attention to detail. We could have just been welcomed but this was exceptional. The stay was homely, the food was awesome both breakfast and dinner. The facilities clean, the pool crystal clear. The premises itself accessible and within reach of absolutely everything. The staff top notch and attentive. The Saldahna Bay Hotel, you get my 5 stars!!! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have become our summer destination, that’s for sure. With a bit of sun, pool and ocean. I wouldn’t want it any other way! Thank you so so much!

Beautiful scenery. Location is good. Loved the play area outside and inside the building.

Don’t think the staff can handle a full restaurant. We waited so long for our dinner (desert took forever) and it was difficult to get our waiters attention. Think more staff is required for dinner. Breakfast was great, supper not so much. Please inform all your staff of the activities that is advertised at the front desk. Wanted my kids to join the arts and craft and actually planned our day around it. Waited at the Titanic, but no one pitched to facilitate.

The location is great, the views are exceptional and it has great facilities. It’s suitable for couples and families.

The check out was such an inconvenience, I booked and paid beforehand on booking.com. Upon checkout I was told I owe +R2k, I told them that was impossible coz I paid on bookings.com already. I had to wait coz they couldn’t cross reference my payment which was very strange. I was then requested to send my proof of payments. All this was happening simultaneously with another person next to me struggling to check out because of payment situation. They need to work on this, I almost gave them a 5 star till I experienced the checkout situation

The overall tranquility of the environment was amazing. Very clean facilities , well tendered gardens. Really beautiful. Staff always friendly and attentive. All Staff at the front desk helpful esp Lurian who was very friendly and hospitable. Special Mention of Chantelle who went out of her way to ensure we were comfortable. Much appreciated. Continue to maintain your high standards. Thank you. Great service at the Spa facilities as well.

Breakfast was nice. However greater variety would have been good. Also more veg options

I liked the fact that they accommodated for my 6 month old. Lucian at the front desk is amazing and made sure that we were settled and felt right at home. All the staff are so kind and helpful. THE BREAKFAST IS AMAZING - They accommodated with a halaal section at breakfast.

I would recommend an elevator in the future and more halaal options on the resturant menu for dinner. But an amazing stay.

We liked the variety of spreads for breakfast it gave us options in the morning. Although we did not have a sea facing room we were never for from a good view all we had to do is just walk out of our room that leads to the pool. Our room was in a perfect position.

Regarding the supper it would have been better to have a buffet dinner. At the price of the dinner meals the was not enough presentation on our plates. Out of a party of four each one only had two items on their plates.

EVERYTHING WAS 5 STAR MATERIAL!!! We would definitely go again the breakfast buffet is out of this world and super friendly staff that literally jumped to each of our needs we were very happy and I'm not even gonna start with the restaurant food because that was exceptionally well prepared!

I could hear that some of the staff did make fun of me for taking pictures of everything and making videos off the food and the view and our lovely experience, it wasn't all the staff but most of the ladies in the restaurant, however we still enjoyed ourselves

Breakfast was delicious. Staff was friendly. Things to do with kids to keep them occupied. Close to other facilities like mall and take aways.

Our room was on the 3rd floor and we had a baby to carry with a pram each time, and no lift. The price of meals and drinks is rather high for a family to afford. The pool had way too much salt in it you felt like a raisin after swimming. Too little loungers around the pool. The kids game room is like a dark, stinky, dirty dungeon. Major upgrades are needed. The kids holiday program was not mentioned to us upon check in, we only overheard another couple referring to it on our last day.

The gorgeous views were very special. The photos on the site don't do it justice. The morning sunrises 🌅 were so beautiful that we were in awe - absolutely breathtaking! Great for families with kids, lots of safe spaces to run around and the activity room catered for everything needed by kids on holiday. Breakfast was lovely and staff were super friendly and accommodating. The popular Saldahna Mussels is a must try at the restaurant overlooking the Bay. The lounge area next door had the most gorgeous views - perfect to unwind and relax.

Parking underground was limited.

Lovely stay, staff were kind and helpful. Bed was comfortable enough View from room was nice Good breakfast options & restaurant dinner was enjoyable Pool was lovely for an afternoon cool down (although extremely salty) Spa treatments were good, and spa is worth the visit Mini golf, large chess, and jungle gym were sufficient in keeping children entertained.

Limited parking options available When having dinner at the restaurant, we went just after the dinner rush and waited quite a while to be served, and waited even longer for our food, it was quite annoying, as we had our two young kids with us, toddler was hungry and takes the entire dive l dinner which dampened the experience.
