Lovely place to stay that has a certain charm all of its own despite its somewhat dated look.. We had a super two night stay here with a great and super clean room, good breakfast and within a few meters of the main square in Urbino which was super convenient. I would recommend a room at the back of the building which has some great views and are quieter. Recommended and great value for money. Look forward to my next visit

The staff member we met was extremely helpful to us. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short and return home urgently for personal reasons, but the chap (sorry I didn't get his name) was wonderful in arranging everything without any hassle. Fair play to him. The hotel is very well situated right in the centre of Urbino historic centre, 5 mins to the Palazzo Ducale and the Duomo, plus lots of eateries. The room was comfortable. Due to circumstances, we didn't get to have breakfast. Getting to Urbino and Albergo Italia from the Trenitalia stazione at Pesaro (35km, approx 1 hour away) was thankfully easier than expected, but better information should be provided by both the hotel and Urbino tourism generally. Adriabus runs from/to Pesaro train station to Urbino's Porta St Lucia bus depot every half hour (approx €4 pp each way, takes 55 mins). At Urbino's Porta St Lucia bus depot there are elevators to bring you up 10 floors higher to the ancient Porta St Lucia gate. From there it's approx 5-10 mins walk, slightly downhill to Albergo Italia.

Better information should be provided by both the hotel and Urbino tourism, generally.

This hotel is very conveniently situated for anyone wishing to visit the major galleries and churches in Urbino. The room was well equipped with hanging space and storage for cases. Breakfast was excellent, offering the usual Italian pastries and also fresh fruit, eggs, yoghurts and cold cuts. We arrived on the afternoon of a busy public holiday but the receptionist phoned around to get us a table in an excellent restaurant. We used other restaurants that he had suggested on subsequent evenings and were equally satisfied. A thoroughly welcoming and well run establishment.

Our only negative concerns the heating. Inserting the key card brought the heating on to a pre-set 25 degrees, which we could only reduce to 22 manually. This seems both ecologically unsound and bad for the company bank balance.

This hotel is very centrally located, rooms with good size, comfortable, shower is easy, beds comfortable and helpfull staff. In comparison with my previous, four star hotel, this was better.

Welll, excellent location has a potential drawback if your room is on the street. A bit noisy as many students were celebrating graduation. That's nice, but, stil, it is some noise.

The location excellent near the city center (in the flatter part of the city) so if walking up and down hills is an issue, this might be your place. It is also convenient to a city bus stop that will transport visitors to the regional bus station. The room was large and actually better than it appeared in the photos. We didn’t have a “room with a view” but the view on the “Palace-side” was fine. The staff was friendly and made good suggestions for dining. This was a great place to begin our tour of towns in LeMarche.

Breakfast could be improved…better coffee, more fruit, toppings for yogurt.

Amazing location in beautiful Urbino - balcony overlooking historic city. Welcoming and friendly staff. Good buffet breakfast. Tea & coffee making facilities in room. Air-conditioned room. Underground parking available just outside city walls - access to city level via lift.

Nothing - loved picturesque Urbino!

Location is exceptional and very convenient. The procession in celebration of city history was found to pass right in front of the hotel. Room is spacious and quite clean.

It would raise the rating if the shower facility would be slightly bigger. The quality of breakfast could be improved.

Location was really good - near town center. Rooms were unadorned, but very comfortable, with good lighting, and quite clean. Breakfast had a good selection of choices and there was outdoor seating. You have to reserve a breakfast time, which is not great if you want unscheduled time on your vacation (but Covid no doubt responsible for the reserved times). We also found that some of the croissant choices had been depleted at the later breakfast times.

I didn't know that an inexpensive room booked through Booking.com would have no view. However, we did have a partial view from one of the rooms, so we decided not to upgrade since we were going to spend most of our time outside the hotel.

The hotel is located right in the centre of Urbino in walking distance to all sights. The room was fine, the breakfast on the terrace was good. We were very pleased with the helpful advice by the staff to park our car at the bottom of the city walls and then take the lift up which dropped us 150 m from the hotel, and to rush to visit the Ducal Palace (we had 90 mins) as it was closed the next day.

The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were able to check in early in the afternoon. Our room had a fantastic view.

Nothing. Only one suggestion is to make sure there is enough food for people who come to breakfast at 9:00. Our first day there was almost nothing left of the fresh offerings even though breakfast is served until 10.
