This hotel is in an ideal location at the centre of Quebec old town, you are really in the middle of everything and couldnt pick a better location. Room was very clean, reasonably sized with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs with reasonably priced food and drinks. If you are in a room at the front of the hotel I imagine it might be a little noisy. We asked for a room at the back of the hotel and it was very quiet. Although there is no lift in the property staff are more than willing to help you to move your luggage when you arrive and depart.

Loved the charming room so delightfully updated, the staff was so lovely and friendly, the price, the location- it was a real delight! You can walk everywhere in Old Québec! Would 100% stay here again!!

Just that I could hear noise from the hallway in the late mornings, we were room #15, so coming and going through the exit in that corner. We also slept in much later than we anticipated coming from a different time zone, so I can't complain! Didnt affect the delight of the adorable room and great experience, I just would have worn earplugs if i knew the echoeing through the hall. But my husband slept through it all ;) if that provides context! 100% would book here again.

Loved the location. Close to many restaurants and historic sites. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel seemed newly or recently renovated. The person at the front desk was friendly and helpful.

We were a bit surprised that there was no front lobby on the ground floor. The front desk is up a flight of stairs. There is no elevator, as this is an old, and likely historic building. It wasn't a problem for us, but someone with mobility issues would definitely have a problem. This was not flagged in the booking listing and should have been.

The room was compact but very airy and felt typically modern french. The room was light and had 2 large windows. The traditional stone was showing which was complemented by simple crisp decor. Bed was smaller than we are used to but loved the plump pillows. Reception staff all brilliant and welcoming. Handy bar downstairs and no noise from our room save for the door banging from our immediate neighbours. Loved it. Sadly it was a last minute booking and we were lucky to get in for 1 night but no space for a 2nd.

Lack of view but not a problem as room was lovely and we are used to this in Paris. Odd banging of neighbours door. Could have done with a couple of hanging hooks ideally.

While tricky to get to initially being located immediately behind the Chateau, this proximity makes it a most desirable location imaginable ! The room was utilitarian with a turn of the 1900's feel. No lift and a long staircase makes transporting luggage a task. Ask the desk personnel for a hand. Breakfast was not included.

No parking near the hotel proper but rather you use one of the City's public parking structure. Everything is conducted in French over an inferior intercom which makes off schedule exits a challenge

the location is perfect for visiting old Quebec City everything is within walking distance, especially the Christmas market room size, and arrangement cleanliness

a few minor things: the coffee machine was quite loud so it was not possible to use it early morning having to park in public parking adds ~20 CAD/day (but on the plus side: the car will stay warm since it is in an indoor parking, especially good for EV in winter) Since the inn does not offer breakfast, you'll need to find your own spot for breakfast

Location of the room was exceptional, a view of the Frontenac, quite striking. As far as breakfast, they used to serve breakfast in the BISTRO, but since COVID they discontinued that practice. I told the staff it would be in their best interest to reinstitute breakfast. First it would be additional revenue for the hotel and people would not be forced to go elsewhere to eat. The BISTRO is quite nice and should be rethought. The room was spectacular, thick stone walls, with a radiator (old fashioned). Beds extremely comfortable. The entire experience was overwhelming to say the least.

Serve breakfast in the BISTRO again.

This is great little hotel on the square opposite The Chateau. The front rooms have great views of the Chateau and in some ways is probably better than staying in the Fontenac as when staying in the Fontenac, you can’t see the iconic views. It can be a bit noisy from the bar and terrace below, but we did not find this a problem. Restaurant good with average prices for Quebec.

Parking is the biggest issue. You can do bag drop off at the hotel if you can find a space to do this. Parking over night is a 5-10 minute walk in the underground car park at the town hall at 30+ dollars a day

On arrival, the host was very helpful in giving us a great overview of things to see and do on our first trip to Quebec City. We stayed 4 nights and enjoyed the location which was central and a walkable location of everything we wanted. The room was clean, contemporary and everything worked, including wifi. Comfortable bed and pillows too. Our room is on the 3rd floor so the stairs to the 3rd floor were a little challenging after a day of walking, but the room was a great final destination every day.

Loved staying here. The room was very quaint and romantic. It was such a quiet place to stay even with activities going on outside. We came and went seeing no other guests or hearing other guests. The beds and pillow were very comfortable. The price was very resonable.

I would have liked more stations on the TV just for a little relaxing before bed. My husband’s knees weren’t keen on the stairs carrying the bags. We were on the third floor. Close to great restaurants and tourist attractions.
