The staff were so friendly. We were met first with the cutest dog. And then Dave, who carried our bag up to our room. Both Dave and his mum were the two people we encountered for our stay. They were the nicest people. The room was ideal for what we needed for the weekend. Dave lent us a metro card to top up so we could travel to Liverpool and back. The bed was super comfortable. The room was warm and quiet. The hotel was just a base, and perfectly located to the bus and ferry station just across the road. We chose the hotel because I wanted car parking. But turned out to be a brilliant location and we plan to return.

There was nothing we didn't like.

We were really lucky with the weather, sunshine and blue sky all day Saturday, Sunday started dull but then cleared. Easy to find, ample parking, Dave the main guy is great, really friendly, helpful and does everything, he makes a great breakfast, he was having to cope on his own, as his helper was away, Dave managed very well. Dave gave us tips for using the metro card for travelling, which we used for the "Ferry Across the Mersey" and saved us money, this can be used on trains and buses too. The bed is super comfortable. The hotel's location is 5 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and easy to use which we did on the Friday and Saturday, and a Uber on return journey which is between £14 and £20 depending on the time, be careful one guy tried to charge use £30 due to tunnel crossing but we knew he was ripping us off as its only £2.90 for a car to use the tunnel. Would stay in this location again as enjoyed the ferry crossing which made the weekend bit more interesting If you can go to the Moonshine saloon experience, we had a brilliant time

The room lighting was a little dark but i think that due to me needing glasses to pop my make up on.

Had a good stay at The Liver View for two nights to visit a relative in Birkenhead. Room had a comfortable bed, with nice, clean bedding, a great shower and tea & coffee facilities. The breakfast provided by Dave was exceptional, a wide choice of cooked breakfast as well as cereals, orange juice etc. It was all beautifully presented on white tableware in an inviting dining area. Dave is friendly and really helpful with information about getting around the area, best value transport passes etc and more. The property is well placed right near the Seacombe Ferry terminal to go over to Liverpool and buses to take you into Birkenhead centre and other Wirral destinations, Chester as well as over to Liverpool. I had a walk one evening along the nearby promenade to see the Liverpool skyline at night which was lovely.

The only issue for me was on the first evening I arrived I was hoping to walk to get something to eat. The nearest pub The Ferry which looked fine with a view of the Mersey unfortunately stopped serving at 7.30 pm on a Friday night, which was disappointing. There is however an option to go to New Brighton a short bus ride away or a two mile walk along the promenade.

This was a great find, very close to the ferry terminal. Dave and his mum were so friendly and welcoming. The room we had was very comfortable with a view over to the Liver building, as per the Hotel name. The bathroom was modern and clean with a bit shower cubicle. Tea and coffee facilities in the room was a nice touch. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order, plus cereals available to help yourself to. Plenty of parking available round the back, first come first served. It was an absolute pleasure to stay there and would definitely recommend.

It would have been nice to have an on-site bar, but that may come in time.

Cheryl made us very welcome and went over and above with helpful itineraries to make best use of our time in the area. Breakfasts - full English were delicious. The location couldn’t have been better for the ferry - 5 mins walking. Although our time was short the hotel (and ample free parking) ensured we managed to fulfil all our sightseeing plans. A very comfy bed and having a kettle in the room. It was very good value for what we paid. Thanks for the ice, Cheryl.

I’m spoilt at home and prefer a bath sheet to a bath towel. Also being able to have the use of a fan in the room would have been good in the hot nights. Leaving the windows open meant hearing traffic when it started up in the morning.

We had a great stay at this friendly, comfortable and well organised family run hotel. The hosts could not have been better. They were kind and thoughtful, letting us book in a little early so we could go into Liverpool for the afternoon and evening. They were very sociable and funny which made us feel very at ease. The off street parking was a welcome bonus and the area seemed safe and fine, although we did wonder on approach as there were some seedy port areas not too far away. The breakfast was excellent and cooked to order.

Everything was fine, we would not hesitate to stay there again.

Great location, welcoming hosts, Cheryl and Dave are knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the local area, and have plenty of suggestions about where to go. The hotel is spotless, with great rooms, comfy beds, and a brilliant breakfast. Close to the ferry, buses, and great roads links to visit the rest of the Wirral.

I hadn't realised there was no lift, so the stairs up to the 2nd floor was a bit awkward with lots of luggage, but the view from the room was amazing. There was no hairdryer in the room, and I didn't realise I could have asked for one. Useful to know for next time.

The staff was really friendly and didn't hesitate to help us with anything. The breakfast was really great and the rooms were clean. I loved that they took into consideration that it was Taylor Swift concert and almost all of the customers were going to the concerts so they played Taylor Swift at the breakfast.

Even though Liver View was right next to the ferry pier it was difficult to travel across the Mersey river without a car. Especially in the late evening and night the only option was to take a taxi. But the staff would tell us all of the information on how to get to Liverpool and what busses to use and where to get the tickets etc.

We chose the location since Liver View is so near to Seacombe Ferry - in order to cross over to Liverpool the following day. Cost wise it most likely saved us pounds! However, there is plenty to see in Birkenhead, too; we took a short drive to New Brighton on the eve of our arrival. Liver View is very spacious, clean, freshly painted, light and airy. We parked our car in their car park behind the hotel. Dave, the owner, is exceptionally friendly and chatty and attended to showing us around the hotel initially, and cooked us a delicious full English breakfast. We stayed 2 nights. Very comfortable bed.

The fact that we were not staying longer!

Breakfast was fantastic, rooms very modern and beds really comfortable. Situated right next to the ferry crossing so getting into the town centre was very easy . We were given top up cards from the owners so we could use the ferry, buses and trains all for just £6.30 a day. The hosts were amazing and will give you as much helpful information as you need. Every visitor in the hotel is treated like a friend. First time in Liverpool for myself and Son , We loved Liverpool and everyone is soo friendly. We’ll definitely be back x
