Very spacious room with two comfy armchairs. Bed very comfortable. Loved the small balcony which had a table and two chairs with cushions. Room at back of hotel so quiet. Air conditioning very welcome. Frankfurt was hot! Great to have a fridge and complimentary bottled water. Lots of wardrobe and shelving space.

The shower floor was slippery for older folk but fortunately we travel with a non slip mat. The basin didn’t have a plug so had to shave/wash face while running the water from sensor tap. The breakfast buffet was well stocked but it was very busy and the layout was a bit tricky. But having said this, we are returning to Palmenhof in October.

Very nice staff, very nice rooms (for the price), parking slot in the front of the hotel. Large rooms, one room (the double one) with terrace. The other room (the single one) with a large bathtub. Good mattresses, we slept well. A nice touch, the complimentary drinks at check-in and in the room. They gave us access to the ice-cubes maker machine in the late evening.

The furniture is quite old fashioned and the keys have a very heavy metal plate attached (it is uncomfortable to carry-on in your pocket. The Wi-Fi needs sign-in every time you depart from the room (like going to the car in front of the hotel) and coming back, we start consuming a huge amount of mobile data in roaming because we thought we were on Wi-Fi...

Staff accomodated my change request that they didnt have to! everyone was nice and pleasant. Many hotels in Frankfurt are near the trainstation which is very dodgy - this one is close to botanical garden, with straight way to city centre and not dodgy at all! Bed was so comfortable that after the day of sightseeing I would just fall asleep way ahead of time, like 8 in the evening. Bathroom was clean. It is an overall great hotel, with amazing location and old school charm!

I didnt love the breakfast, it was still solid but if you have some dietary restriction you might want to check with the hotel ahead as the options were traditional and limited. Overall still good value for money.

Location is truly awesome,it's in a quiet neighborhood with trees, birds, and pretty buildings.You can find everything you need next to it. A train station, a supermarket, a nice cafe and a nice restaurant, you name it. Plus, the Palmengarden is right around the corner, and you can go to the center of Frankfurt by foot if you are in the mood for a walk. It's a clean hotel, and the stuff was kind and helping.

The style and furniture of the hotel are a bit old-school, and the price is a bit high, but not so that it would be a deal-breaker.

This hotel is located in very quiet & peaceful area in Frankfurt, inside the Westend (high-end living area) but walkable distance to Bockenheimer area (where we can find everything you need to live at), too. Also few stations to Alte Oper. Location is perfect to visit Frankfurt Messe (only 1 station to Messe by U-bahn) Big bathroom with a good bathtub & enough living space for 2 people with 2 big suitcases!

Breakfast - some staffs are not friendly... I stayed this hotel some years ago & I remember all the staff was very nice.

Comfortable bed. Nice and peaceful balcony. All the facilities regarding comfort were supplied, e.g. free water, coffe and tea, fridge. Parking just outside the hotel with reservation needed. Just next to metro station or 10 mins walk to Alte Oper. Good and rich breakfast, good self service coffe machine. Nice classic style. Overall very recommended.

Curtains did not shut the light too well. The walls can be repainted.

Great location about 2-3 min walk to Westend station on Underground line 6, only 2 stops from a great station (Hauptwache) that is very close to the (new) old city, and where you can connect to S-Bahn 8/9 to the airport. Lovely neighbourhood, comfortable room, complimentary mineral water, clean and tidy. Small garden with outside seating. Helpful staff.

Nothing. It was excellent value. It was just outside (2 metros stops) the main tourist areas, but we like public transport and it was a nice area.

A large room with a balcony with nice chairs. Shower was lovely as well, with really hot water, a bit slippery tho. Reception was always there and was helpful. A decent kettle. Quiet with no noise form other guests or the streets. Breakfast cost 16 euro per person for me. It's nice but could maybe use some hot porrige and higher quality cakes. Coffee is very good, lots of fruit, ham, cheeses, etc. Metro's in 5-7 minutes slow walk.

Elevator - there's one but there's also 12 steps at the front door which is a problem with heavy luggage. Clening lady repeatedly didn't put shower gel. Carpets in the rooms smell a bit dusty. Pillows lack volume. Nothing too anoying, I'd say.

Quiet peaceful neighborhood. About half an hour to sights. Clean, cozy and warm room. Friendly staff at reception. We arrived before the check-in time and were allowed to leave our suitcases at the reception.

Our room was on the fifth floor, and the elevator only goes to the fourth floor. It was a bit difficult to carry our suitcases up the stairs. Our room was on the top floor. And part of the room was too low because of the shape of the roof. This is not a super disadvantage for me, I put my suitcases there and just did not walk there.

The staff were excellent. I very much appreciated that there was someone at the reception desk 24 hours a day. That is invaluable and not so common these days. The receptionists helped me with several issues, including finding a restaurant in a different city. I love the location of this hotel. It is a peaceful and beautiful neighborhood. The hotel is in easy walking distance to the heart of downtown, but you can also take a very short walk to the nearest subway station. You are also in easy walking distance of several small supermarkets. My room was facing away from the street and was very quiet. My room was cleaned and tidied up every day. There was a small refrigerator in the room, which was very helpful. There was also a hot water heater to make tea. There were excellent linens. I never had any trouble with the WiFi connection. I also appreciated that this was a non-smoking hotel. I did not have breakfasts at the hotel, so I can't comment on that.

The bed was a bit firm for me, but I'm sure it would be exactly right for others. The heating system was also very loud at certain times. But I felt very safe and comfortable in the room.
