Riad Ksar Al Amal is more than a beautiful riad, it comes with a compete sensorial experience, so much so so that when I passed its doors from the hot and busy spice souk alleys it felt like I entered a completely different world, an oasis of beauty and peace. The building itself has been very carefully designed to give the feeling of living in a small palace (from the hand made decorations to the personalized furniture), in the inner yard there is a pool with running water and trees with singing birds, and there is beautiful smell in the air, to address all senses The stuff is very nice and helpful (one morning I mentioned I like cinnamon in my coffee and they remembered this detail the next mornings) and so is the owner, always ready to help with guidance on things to do in Marrakech or answer questions about the riad’s history.

A Magical Christmas in Marrakesh – Unforgettable Stay at a Riad Ksar Al Amal My wife and I had the privilege of spending Christmas at a truly exceptional Riad in Marrakesh, and it was one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, we were embraced by the warmth and dedication of the Riad’s staff, whose kindness made us feel more like honored guests than mere visitors. The Riad itself was a sanctuary of beauty and tranquility, a perfect blend of traditional Moroccan charm and modern comforts. Every corner seemed thoughtfully designed, from the stunning courtyard and its fragrant roses blossoms to the cozy, tastefully decorated rooms that felt like our own private oasis. Each morning, we were treated to a sumptuous breakfast that was as delightful as it was beautifully presented, with the added touch of freshly brewed mint tea that became a cherished ritual. The staff’s attention to detail was unparalleled—whether it was their willingness to accommodate special requests, offer insightful recommendations for exploring the city, or their warm smiles that greeted us after every adventure. Spending Christmas at the Riad felt nothing short of magical. The peaceful atmosphere, coupled with the genuine hospitality of the team, made it a celebration we’ll remember for a lifetime. Marrakesh itself was enchanting, but this Riad truly elevated the experience. We cannot recommend this Riad highly enough and are already dreaming of our next visit. We had to leave this amazing Riad.

We had the most phenomenal stay at Riad Ksar Al Amal! The whole riad was spotlessly clean and tidy, and our room was turned over every day. You can tell immediately on stepping in that the riad is really cared for, and the candles and water flower scents throughout the space are a lovely touch. The atmosphere is very relaxing and there is a lovely dip pool to cool off, which was great after spending time in the souks! Breakfast on the terrace was fantastic. Everything was very fresh and homemade, including the yoghurt. We had dinner at the riad one night as well which we would highly recommend (Friday is cous cous night *chefs kiss*). The riad itself is in a great location with close proximity to Bahia Palace and the souks - we did read online that the neighbourhood wasn't ideal which we were a little concerned about, but we honestly had absolutely zero issues during our stay and the local people were very friendly and welcoming. I would like to make special mention of Abdul and his amazing team. The staff were incredibly attentive and helpful throughout our stay - they even got me a wee gift and made me a cake for my birthday, which was so sweet. We would not hesitate to recommend Riad Ksar Al Amal to our friends and family, and will absolutely return for another visit. Thank you so much for an amazing stay!

We did an excursion to Imlil for my birthday which wasn't quite what we expected - we didn't realise lunch wasn't included, and that we were actually hiring a driver for the day rather than signing up for a proper tour of the Atlas Mountains. However, this was arranged for us via a third party and does not reflect the riad itself. We had absolutely zero issues with the rest of our stay and would definitely recommend Riad Ksar Al Amal to other travellers.

Beautifully and tastefully decorated Riad with the true charm of Moroccon art and culture. The owner himself is very friendly and so are the staff (Abdul, Ibrahim, and others). The rooms are spacious and every aspect is thought out. The location is perfect, walking distance from almost every destination. We had to use a taxi only twice in 5 days. The breakfast was generous, fresh, and cooked right there in the Riad’s kitchen. Even small touches were done to perfection, such as the daily cleaning which was thorough, and the cleaner even folded our clothes and neatly arranged them in the cupboard. Check in/check out was smooth and the mint tea served was some of the best we had in Marrakech.

Locks could be more substantial.

The traditional decor was superb! Along with a few Modern touches, the layout of the riad was also nice to navigate when accessing the rooftop. Location was super nice also, it’s in a quiet residential area which also happens to be a 10 minute walk from the lively souks of the medina and nice cafes of mellah roundabout. The real cherry on top is the friendly staff who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome, cook for you and make suggestions on where to go if it’s your first time in Marrakech. We were assisted by the wonderful Abdul who did everything in his power to accommodate our requests and help make arrangements for a birthday celebration! The Riad is also incredibly clean and the cleaning staff took amazing care of our room every day. Definitely a place we would come back to.

Rooms aren’t soundproof

We had the most amazing time at Riad Ksar Al Amal. Up from the start when we arrived, we have been welcomed by the friendly and helpful staff, and this continued up until the end of our stay. The Riad is managed by 3 main people: Saad, Abdul and Mohamed. Then there are the ladies who cleaned and cooked. We also have Jean. They are the best, they will make sure that you will have the best time during your stay. The place itself is full of character. As you enter, you will definitely feel the Moroccan vibe of the place. The location is spot-on, it's in the old medina where everything must see is walkable but in a quiet street where you can stay away from the very busy souk. You will have fresh sheets and towels everyday. We also got recommendations for our one special dinner and hammam massage from them and both were good places. I recommend staying here... it is one of the best accomodation I had in all of my trips around. All the best to this Riad.

Not that I did not like, but when they say they clean, they will really clean and will not leave anything unturned in your room. But you only need to request or instruct and they will leave your room in peace :)

Most amazing place I have ever been. It’s not a hotel - it’s a small hidden Palace! Located in the heart of Marrakech, this charming Riad feels like a little secret Palace, exuding authenticity and magic. From the moment you step inside, you’re embraced by the warmest hospitality, making you feel like a treasured guest. The atmosphere is pure enchantment—soft bird chirps, gentle water sounds, and calm, authentic music create a serene oasis away from the bustling city. Each corner holds beauty, with intricate details that transport you to another era. The staff deserves special praise; their kindness and dedication made our stay unforgettable. I can’t wait to come back and experience this gem again!

This place was exceptional. The stay was very luxurious. The rooms were gorgeous, very clean and gave privacy which we found to be a bit rare in a Riad. As we were staying in a bedroom with two separate beds my partner and I asked to move the beds together which made for a more comfortable stay. We felt that the room was well thought out and the bathroom was beautiful while being well ventilated. We slept extremely well and loved the wake up to the birds fluttering around the tree in the center of the Riad. The breakfast was extensive and delicious. I also want to give a special mention to Abdul who we found to be extremely kind, hospitable, and helpful. We would come back just for him. :) We wish we would have booked for longer to enjoy this oasis!

I would not be the first to jump into the swimming pool as it is very small and would not hold more than one person or one couple. I’d feel a bit uncomfortable being too close to people next to me. It was also cold water and does not get any sunshine (and therefore heat) being in the center of the Riad’s courtyard. Plus you cannot really swim, it would rather be a place to stand or sit in. We felt a bit on edge/intimidated entering the street of the Riad at night as a few groups hang out together outside.

This Riad is simply stunning, and my room on the main floor was fit for a queen! With an extremely comfortable bed (the most comfortable I had while in Morocco) and a large and gorgeous bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the rooftop patio was beautiful, with delicious breakfast and even alcohol available for purchase! Over all, a fantastic stay in the Marrakech Medina.

It was a bit harder to find the first day, given it is in an alleyway in the Jewish Quarter. But once I got my self acquainted in the morning, it was easy to find very very close to Bahia Palace. There is currently construction happening also to add a pool and Hammam, so waking up to construction sounds wasn’t ideal but it didn’t bother me too much and should be complete in a few weeks for guests to enjoy!

This Riad is exquisite. I would give it 15 out of 10 if I could. The owner, Jean Francois, has used such a talent to create a perfect oasis in the heart of the hussle and bussle of Marrakech. You walk through the door into another world, which has been expertly designed to pique all your senses - sight, smell, touch, taste and hearing. Everything is of the highest quality - the delicious home cooked food, the bedding embossed in gold with the Riad’s logo, the wonderfully soft towels and robes, the furnishings and decor. The staff are so polite and helpful - our thanks especially to Abdul, Saad, Mohamed and Yousef. Nothing was too much trouble. My only tip would be to ask the Riad to arrange your transport as it is hard to find and they will meet you from the taxi. A truly delightful place to stay.
