Reception, bar and waiting staff were friendly, helpful and welcoming. Our room was clean and comfortable. Our evening meal was good quality. We were offered a complimentary drink, due to having to wait over 40 minutes for our dessert to be served, Ellie our waitress was very apologetic.

Reception wasn't well signposted from the rear car park. Restaurant menus weren't available on the hotels website. Although there were only six customers in the restaurant when we had our evening meal at about 8pm, it took over 40 minutes for our chosen desserts (crumble and cheesecake) to be served. Awoken by noisy plumbing at 6am 😞, vibrating water pipes. Lots of condensation in our bathroom, the fan was broken. Lots of young staff around, some of whom seemed to be trying their best and working hard, others much less so, but there seemed to be a complete lack of leadership and direction. A couple of the kitchen staff were taking frequent breaks outside which appeared to be unmonitored, there didn't seem to be anyone in overall charge in a senior/management role.

The property is okay. The location is good and it has a nice feel about it. The staff made it though. Everyone I came across was friendly and helpful. Lovely people who I would say make this a higher rating than it perhaps should have been.

The hotel is a bit dated, the shower head had a bit of mould on it and sprayed everywhere (was quite funny) and the sink in the room was blocked. Overall the hotel just needs a lick of paint and a bit of TLC (repairs and such). Also the room we were in was below the stairs that creaked really loud anytime someone used them. (Room 008). This wasn’t too bad as the stairs were used 3 or 4 times only, but during busy times would be a nuisance. Again, could be sorted easily with a bit of repair work.

extra Location for our onward and return trip.  have stayed here many times over the last five years  as we have family members who live in Mossborough just down the road .

as I have all  ready mentioned  excellent Location and lovely Hotel . there is always room for improvement ,this Best western is a plus not sure what that means ? The beverages which are left in the room would be nice to have more than two teabags and three milk  so you can have a cup of tea when you arrive and a tea when you wake up in the morning . we always have breakfast, which is very good, but I think they could be improvement here. I also  think the dining and breakfast area could do with updating .  new tables and chairs would be a good start .

We had a very large, comfortable bed and a room with a bath. The windows opened on to the car park which we thought would be a problem but it was quiet even though there was a wedding event fairly close by. We slept well. The breakfast was a full English buffet with a wide assortment of pastries, cereals, fruit and yoghurt as well. The staff were excellent, organising taxis to the event we were attending. We had a lovely bar meal on our return in the evening.

Our bedroom was mainly good apart from some sections of black mould around the bath which we didn’t like. The bath was not particularly clean too.

The breakfast was excellent. The choices were perfect and nicely presented. Probably the best breakfast offering I've received, more like 5 stars. The location was good, able to use public transport into town leaving my car at the hotel.

Unfortunately I cut my hand on a cleaner's cupboard door that was left open in a resident's corridor. I was supplied with a sticking plaster but no accident report was made.

Location was convenient, staff were friendly and polite, the shower worked very well, the quietness around the hallways and rooms was noticeable. Off-street parking was appreciated and well lit.

Restaurant seemed pricey, but the table service was excellent. The mattress was too soft for my frame, which caused some discomfort in the AM. The position of the headboard lighting was not reachable when in bed, so you have to almost stand up to adjust / switch them on/off.

Lovely location and grounds. Lovely old building. Rooms were comfortable and clean. Staff are all excellent with great customer services. Restaurant and breakfast was excellent and again the staff were all so helpful and accommodating

Some rooms were close to the road. But the staff moved us to quiet side of hotel with no problem. Reception staff were excellent and friendly

The young lady on reception, I am sorry I do not recall her name it was Saturday 5th October. I do know she was on the early shift 7am until 3pm . She was so helpful and went above and beyond to help us and all staff and customers whilst we was talking . She is a credit to your company

The mattresses we to soft and a buffet breakfast was better at the quays in sheffield town centre

Lovely venue for a wedding. The good weather was a help so people could go inside and out. Staff all pleasant. Breakfast excellent 👍

When I booked I requested an early check in on booking.com as we were travelling 150 miles by train . On emailing the hotel however this costs an extra £20. Since our family wedding was being held at the venue I thought it was unhelpful not to be accommodated having already paid alot.

Comfortable atmosphere

Was very cold on arrival I’d emailed and phoned through for early check in. New staff member was still learning and she had a dressing down in front of us for not communicating the early check in to rest of staff. Could have been handled more professionally. I felt sorry for her and she was doing a fabulous job. I found the lady overseeing her was very curt and short when specking to the new member and also us on arrival.
