The staff were amazing,we booked in a bit too early but they were so understanding and qe got a free upgrade to the Waterfront rooms, the view and the comfort was amazing. We had dinner there that night and that was also amazing.Breakfast was beautiful with loads of choices

We could not use the pool until after 7 .15 as there is childrens swimming classes there every Friday evening, this was never advised until we actually changed and went to the pool at 5

Lovely location right beside the shannon Rooms were big and spacious high ceilings very comfortable beds Breakfast was lovely plenty of choice staff extremely helpful and pleasant

Bedrooms a bit tired could do with a paint around the ceiling. Although that would not put me off staying here . Also wasn’t share why we were asked to book a time slot for breakfast

On our arrival  we were mate with the most friendly and helpful receptionist ever, she gave us a  great first impression of the hotel. Followed by the bar staff who were very friendly too. The food in the bar was amazing and the breakfast each morning too.

Our only negative comments would be, that as the Hotel caters for Family’s, they don’t have facilities for Kids e.g  Game rooms etc.  The room was very spacious, it had a smart tv but wasn't connected to the Internet so the smart channels didn't work 🙄. The bathroom could do with a bit of TLC. They have a Pool but no spa.

The breakfast was wonderful - a truly delicious and excellent choice. The beds are very comfortable, the room is tidy, no complaints. The hotel is in a very beautiful location, the staff is wonderful, and the hotel is very clean.

instead of the double room we booked, we got a quadruple room, which I didn't really like. The pool and jacuzzi left a poor impression—they appeared poorly maintained compared to other hotels offering similar amenities. We were truly disappointed: there were no changing rooms, only foul-smelling toilets and showers. We specifically chose this hotel for its pool, but after being let down, we didn’t return. The pool area was sticky and uninviting, making us to leave after just a few minutes.

Property is located on the banks of the river with lovely views, even on a dull breezy day! The staff were the highlight of our trip. We were travelling with my very elderly parents and the staff were so attentive but not intrusive. Special credit to the servers in the bar/restaurant and the breakfast serving staff who were so friendly and helpful.

My parents are elderly so have mobility problems, which I had flagged to the staff on booking. Though the rooms we were given were a upgrade from our initial reservation, and were comfortable, they were at the end of a very long corridor and a very long walk from the restaurant /bar. Also the bed quilts were too small for the duvet covers which made for an uncomfortable nights sleep. This seems to be a common theme in many hotels nowadays though.

The breakfast was very good, bit a holiday highlight in fact, good variety of foodstuffs, ordering speciality eggs, florentine and salmon for me, and the buffet full Irish alongside. I was pleased with the leisure facilities; the gym, the only one in Killaloe, is not super polished but is better than average for a hotel for weightlifting equipment, free weights, bars benches and exercise space - enough to keep the local gym goers happy who were the primary users of it. Also decent running machines, a bike or two, and a couple of Concept 2 rowing machines for the cardio folks. The sauna and steam room were great - fortunately they were recently back working again after being out of action for some weeks or months apparently. The pool slide was fun, surprisingly quick. As a swimmer I had no pool safety concerns; I was curious about the deep end depth when chatting to a local in the steam room before using it - 1.5m was clearly signed as expected so the tragic incident a few days later probably wasn't related to that.

No lift so elderly people were struggling with the stairs from reception and getting help from other guests with their luggage if they were lucky. I realised afterwards I'd not offered to help an old couple with their luggage as they stood aside for me at the top of the stairs so I didn't like myself for that, someone else offered before I thought of it. The leisure facility lockers weren't lockable - that's a concern so I put my valuables in a bag poolside.

The staff were exceptional. Each person we interacted with went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. These guys really set a high standard in terms of hospitality, the best out of several top hotels we stayed at throughout our trip. Apart from that, lovely grounds and views of the lake. Great breakfast, one of the tastiest. Amazing room, very comfortable with fantastic amenities. Last but not least, the water slide in the leisure centre. Great fun! Thanks again to all the amazing staff who made our short stay so special!

Faultless! Only wish we had stayed longer!

The breakfast offered was delightful, featuring a full Irish breakfast along with an assortment of cheese, fruits, fruit salads, cereals, and yogurts. The overall experience was very pleasant, characterized by high standards that greatly contributed to our enjoyable stay. For future enhancement, we suggest incorporating more local produce into the menu. Options could include local jams, cheeses, salmon or trout, and perhaps desserts like apple, rhubarb, or pear pies. Such additions would further enrich the breakfast experience with regional flavors

lovely riverside apartment, big room, terrace, just lovely. Breakfast was great, wife particularly loved breakfast, must say I did myself.

main hotel is a bit dated. Ate in hotel one evening, chicken wings were not great, didn't like sauces and very pricey, way dearer that would pay in my home town while not being to the same standard.

We were given an upgrade due to thoughtfulness and the fact that it was my husband's 60th Birthday, the little extras were wonderful. The breakfast was a treat, plenty of variety, very good quality. The Sunday lunch was lovely, staff great and room was gorgeous. I would highly recommend the location and hotel to family and friends.

Everything and in both Killaloe and Ballina villages the people we met were so sound.
