The staff are so lovely welcoming and friendly, especially thank you to Eileen for the warm welcome, showing us round and booking us a late table for dinner. The room and facilities were great, bed was huge and so comfortable. Food was lovely. Breakfast delicious. It’s dog friendly, can’t beat having dogs around, and comfortable and relaxed atmosphere in a beautiful village setting, it was quiet and lovely, peaceful walks, we could see deer roaming from our window. Lovely cosy seating in the bar area for drinks by the wood burner after dinner. Will definitely visit again.

Location was good for us - we have relatives who live in Peaslake. Also a great base if you want to explore the many footpaths and bike trails in the local woods. Included breakfast was very good with vegetarian options as well as the classics. Didn't eat there in the evening but I would guess a similar experience awaited us. Shower in the bathroom was hot and had good water pressure. The staff were fabulous and very cheerful. Local beers on tap in the pub part were excellent.

The building, as with many UK country inns, was old and quite musty. Too much uncleanable carpet throughout, including our room. Our bedroom was on the top floor and the hot water for the bathroom basin was intermittent at best. The bed was a bit soft and my wife ended up with a sore back from this. On site parking is available but it appeared to be being used by the owners as there were large vehicles and a horse trailer parked there throughout our stay. The lot was walled, making it very challenging to maneuver and park, assuming a space was even available.

Love the country vibe. We stayed in Room 11 and had a beautiful view of horse on the field in morning and evening. Very quant town. Absolutely lovely staff and they were very acommidating. Excellent hot and cold breakfast, and they were very helpful with our early departure. Great restaurant/pub attached. Easy to get to neighbouring towns if you have a rental car.

Not an easy town to explore on foot(no foot paths to see the town but heard the hiking is good), and it is difficult to adjust to driving if you are from a 1+ lane area as the roads are narrow but definitely worth the journey.

One of the highlights of our stay was the breakfast. It was, without a doubt, one of the best we’ve ever had. The portions were generous, and each dish was cooked to perfection. The ingredients were clearly fresh, and the flavors were simply delightful. The breakfast arrived quickly, and the service was impeccable, with the staff going out of their way to accommodate our preferences. It was the ideal start to our day. The staff are lovely and our room was nice with amazing comfortable bed. Clean and cozy.

Needed a bedside tables by sides of bed, odd no table was there, there’s plenty of room.

Located in the Surrey Hills in a peaceful location between Dorking and Guildford, only a short drive through the country lanes to the main A roads. A popular place for cyclists who like a challenging hill terrain/single track country roads with a bike hire shop opposite. Our dog Flora loved the walk up the footpath next to the hotel to the fields at the top of the hill and we loved the peace and tranquility. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the English Breakfast was delicious and substantial and the adjacent pub with its terrace was wonderful. The staff were all welcoming and friendly, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.

Claire and the team were so friendly, helpful and professional and really made us feel welcome and looked after. Very clean rooms, comfy beds, well cooked breakfast and great service. Fresh milk and well stocked tea caddy were nice touches. Very quiet room and fantastic location. Good atmosphere in the bar- felt very comfortable having dinner on my own the first night.

Great stay though a few maintenance details could do with attention. Tap head in one room has an 'arm ' missing. Other bedroom didn't have a socket near the mirror. Shower gel in a fixed bottle that was too high to reach when in the bath, didn't feel very luxurious, more what I'd expect in a budget hotel.Some cracked tiles and missing radiator caps. Just minor details but disappointing, as I had high expectations, especially at the price. Breakfast was generally excellent but a bit disappointed with the very ordinary wholemeal toast and fresh mushrooms would have been nicer than tinned.

The location in the forest is beautiful. Peaslake is one of my favourite villages. The exterior of the hotel is first class. The room was comfortable and staff were very friendly. Good beer selection at the bar, tho I believe the bar/restaurant is a depart business to the hotel. Full English breakfast was substantial in the morning.

The hotel side of the operation is good. The pub suffered from a renovation about 12 years ago that got rid of the original features and made it look like a cheap gastropub. I'm not sure the Italian menu with a couple of pub classics tacked on really works. The lasagna and fish and chips were only so so. The single waitress was rushed off her feet and not particularly helpful. Probably better to make like the locals and stick to the pizzas The real ale selection and craft beers were good and bartender excellent.

The rooms were beautifully done and beds and bedding excellent quality and really comfortable. Everything was exceptionally clean. I only had breakfast there but it was very tasty and presented beautifully. The staff were excellent, cheerful and friendly and extremely helpful. It’s very rare to find such good value for money and I hope they continue to keep the rates affordable and therefore somewhere people can return to again and again.

There was nothing negative. My only suggestion would be to add bubble bath to the provided shower gel etc, particularly for the rooms with a spa bath. Also, it was theoretically possible to cast your phone / laptop to the TV but it wasn’t possible as there was more than one tv with the same ID - I couldn’t tell if I couldn’t connect or someone in a neighbouring room was enjoying a bit of my Netflix programme! 😉

Bed was huge, and extremely comfortable. Bathroom was very good. Shower worked fine, easy to work, good pressure. The bathroom was larger than some entire hotel rooms I've stayed in. Breakfast was excellent, but beware of the large portion sizes. Very quiet for being in the middle of Surrey, and attached to a good pub. Plenty of chair/surface space for bike gear.

Location is down a string of narrow and twisty back roads. I knew that when booking, but didn't realise just how treacherous they were from google maps. Pillows far too soft for my tastes; I had to stick a cushion under them. Narrow corridors, which were a pain to haul hard-case luggage through.

This hotel is beautiful, the room was a great size, the bonus of a whirlpool bath was a lovely addition - though we never used it 😟😟🙁😥The village is beautiful, the walking perfect, the hotel lovely. The breakfast was amazing, so much food, and beautifully cooked & presented. The lady that served the breakfast was so helpful, Thank you

No milk on arrival (I didn't know to help myself from the fridge in the dining hal)l. The bar closing at 11pm wasn't that clever, 10 am checkout is too early for us, we like to stay on & pay for a later checkout
