I was performing at G Live venue next door to this hotel. Perfect location for me. Room very comfortable and breakfast wonderful. Due to my schedule, I didn’t have time to eat in the restaurant, but ordered room service both evenings, which was excellent. The hotel bar was lovely, with a great choice of drinks. There was a small fire on my first night, at 2am on the first floor, which meant we were all evacuated to the hotel carpark. The hotel staff and their fire marshals, were , professional and efficient and dealt with the whole thing in an excellent manner. Kept us informed and after the arrival 2 fire engines and police cars, the fire was extinguished and we were escorted back to our rooms. This was all handled so well, thanks to the swift action of the hotel staff. I felt we were in very safe hands, thanks to them.

Having paid what I think was a ‘fair’ rate for bed and breakfast, I was surprised to find I them had to pay each time I used the hotel pool. I was not expecting this. Other people in the pool were not hotel guests, but were paying members of the health club, but I think hotel guests, should have been able to use the pool for no additional cost. I had hoped to use it Morning and afternoon, but did not, as I would have had to pay each time !!!

Helpful reception, clean and comfortable room. Comfortable bed. Unusual dark/ black decor that would not be to everyone's taste but had had a stylish appearance, if not terribly practical

Shower in the bathroom would be better with a Flexible hand shower rather than simply an overhead shower. Room would benefit from a fridge. We like to to bring our own decaf teabags and fresh milk ( much better that the tiny milk pots provided in the room). A fridge would keep both water and milk at a suitable temperature. Corner room was quite cool and the aircon/heating did not appear to work correctly, the thermostat registering 24 to 25 to bring the temperature to a reasonable level.

We stayed for 10 days and it has been difficult to fault both the facilities and the excellent staff. Standout for me was the gym which was very well equipped, superb food and the true customer focus of the staff throughout the trip which really made a big difference.

We had a fire evacuation on our last night at the property at 1230am for about an hour which was far from ideal. There was however a genuine issue and this was very well managed by the whole hotel team who got everyone out quickly and efficiently, kept us warm outside with blankets / hot drinks and communicated really well throughout.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The foyer, bar and restaurant are really aesthetically pleasing and creative. Breakfast was one of the best buffet selections, really tasty.

Our room was very outdated. The TV kept turning off while we were using it for music. The upholstery on the chair was very stained and the decor was not in keeping with the style of the rest of the hotel. facilities in the bathroom were great and a good size. The worst part about the room was the absolute lack of decent lighting. It was just dark everywhere and so hard to get ready and do makeup.

It was quiet, clean and the beds were very comfortable. It was also in a really good location with great facilities. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff at checkin were extremely polite and interested in their guests.

There were no robes provided in the room and the spa expected you to pay to hire one even though you paid a fee to use the spa facilities. I also found the room service breakfast options quite disappointing compared to what you got in the restaurant despite the fact there was a fee for room service. Not a deal breaker though as I would just thoroughly recommend coming down to the restaurant which was excellent.

Stayed here on business on a Sunday evening. The room rate was a reasonable £106, including breakfast, but I did have to pay £16 for secured parking which is only overnight, not for 24 hours. Room was large, with a very comfortable bed, super quiet air-con, and a luxury bathroom. One complaint (I was travelling for business) was that the charging point did not work and was not fixed despite my call to reception. I had to improvise. I had dinner in the restaurant. Food and service was excellent, albeit quite slow, and the dining area was very modern and comfortable. I had a quick breakfast, time limited to Continental, but the whole offering looked very good quality. Yes, I will definitely stay here again. Please note that the spa times are quite limiting. I arrived at 6:30pm on Sunday but the spa had closed for the day.

Very well presented with a luxury appearance and feel.

Mattress was a little on the hard side ; dare I say it; but premier inn mattresses are more comfortable. Not to keen on the ; as we felt; the cost of parking. Neither were we expecting to pay additional costs for spa use as this was not clear on the initial booking.com search results page. I feel the pool / sauna/steam etc should be included in the tariff and not additional. I would expect to pay for additional spa amenities such as treatments etc but not a swimming pool. Personally I feel that’s a cheek.

The hotel was the cheapest choice for the facilities, services and and high standards provided. Some people may say it was good value for money but as an old hotelier I can say with confidence that the whole lot it was magical. Everything was in more than good conditions and well maintained and handled It seems the standards and services were up to a "degraded" five star establishment. Breakfast was sustainable according to every taste and amount. Rooms were updated every day and dinning including snacks were sustainable. Staff were acted in a very professional and experiened manner. Especially, I distinguish Mrs Crenny on check in procedure with her simple but analytical and straight-forward treatment as everything was derived naturally, and the unforgetable personality of Mr. Dayo with his human based personal approach and culture of a combination of new and old human's values. Harbour hotel should be an example and a leader for others and a safe place for some.

What I did not like from my trip has nothing to do with hotel.

The staff were all really friendly, food was great, portion sizes were generous, spa massage treatments were divine; particularly the full body drift away massages.

Unfortunately they did mix up our massage and booked us in for a day we were not even staying at the hotel but did make it right by booking us in the next morning and also our pool session was not booked in on their system luckily they had space. Admin side of the spa facilities need abit more training potentially but all in all the facilities and treatments were amazing and staff were very accommodating.

Room - on arrival i was greeted my Anisa on reception who was personable, smiley and welcoming. She mentioned that she had managed to upgrade me to a business suite as it had just become available. This was an incredibly nice gesture and surprise for me. Breakfast - Great spread of food, good options for vegans/veggies but also great selection of hot food. I believe you could additionally order whatever you wanted but I had enough in the buffet!!!! Was made a beautiful flat white by Miroslav, the Breakfast Manager, again he was so warm and friendly and up for a conversation. He was positive and informative when I asked about the surroundings. Make this man GM!!!! Spa - spot on. I was very lucky to spend an hour (maybe more) in the spa on Saturday morning where I enjoyed your sauna and plunge pool and then fell asleep on one of your loungers!!!! Maybe too relaxing :) Communication, Reaction, professionalism during my stay, the staff of the harbour hotel had to deal with a very rare scenario. I am under the impressed a guest may have carelessly lit fire to something in the hallway on one of the floors. This ultimately required the team to escort half the hotel out of rooms and into reception foyer. I arrived mid madness back to the hotel and the team where in full swing, hi vis jackets, making teas and coffees for guests, greeting everyone with WHATEVER they physically could to accomodate their guests. Super big shout out to a young chap called Cory, I believe he was associated with the Long bar restaurant but my god. 1:30am Saturday morning, he was doing abit of everything. Supporting the older guests, carrying bags, complying with police and fire brigade instructions, communicating updates to team and guests. Honestly was so impressed..... These guys took to the challenge and 'situation' unbelievably well and I really hope they have had a shout out or a bonus or something to reward their work/ professionalism.

if I have to, The chairs in the room were a bit dusty and i probably wouldn't choose to pout clothes or myself on the chair.... this was alright because I could have probably fit 5 people in my bed so I didn't need to sit on the chair aha!!!
