This was my favouurite hotel of our six week trip. Our room was large with the only balcony in the whole property. We overlooked a square with musicians that played till midnight (this may bother some people but the music was amazing). The bathroom was big with stone walls making it really unique. The breakfast was great but not a buffet and therefore a little more limiting in choices. This hotel is in the old town, within the old town walls so you have to park your car about a 10 minute walk away.

Exceptional hotel in a historical building in one of Kotor's most charming squares. The building itself, the interior decoration, and the location in the heart of the old town, restaurants, squares and shops make staying in this hotel simply out of this world. Our room was perfect and had a spectacular view of the bay. It was the suite at the 3rd floor  beautifully decorated, very comfortable, and spacious. The same for the bathroom, which was well-equipped and very spacious. Everything was spotless. Excellent breakfast options and delicious food. The team was extremely attentive and went above and beyond to assist and satisfy. Great customer service. Kristina at the front desk, in particular, made our stay memorable and we thank her for her kind attention, assistance and excellent customer service. We hope to return one day, and we highly recommend staying at Astoria Kotor for unforgettable moments.

Nothing all was perfect

Big, spacious and comfortable rooms, with an excellent shower. The location could not have been better, right in the heart of the old town with gorgeous views out to the mountains and fort.

A couple of the waiters at Breakfast time were not so friendly and it felt they didn’t want to be there. Overall the service was good but just felt they let it down. I did find this quite common in Montenegro though so not unique to the hotel. The duvet was too small for the bed. There is quite a bit of noise from the restaurants in the square at night which didn’t bother us, but just something to be aware of…..much like the bells that start ringing from 6am!

Great location within the old town. Well appointed large room, the only one with a balcony facing the sea (ask for the Thita room). Good patio restaurant.

Parking is scarce outside the walls and we had to carry our bags for quite a distance

Excellent location. Got a room upgrade to a junior suite which was incredible. Very spacious, amazing shower. Comfortable massive bed. Decent included breakfast which we ate outside in the square.

Bit of difficulty with the parking. We chose the hotel solely based on parking provisions as we read it is difficult to park in Kotor but the staff told us it wasn’t available on the day we arrived. They ended up giving free parking and kindly providing staff and a trolley to help carry our luggage but only after a lot of insistence.

Excellent communication before our arrival. Hotel is in ideal location in Kotor with professional, friendly staff. We had an issue with one room on our 1st night which was resolved quickly and to our satisfaction. Kristina helped us with issues surrounding our taxi to the airport ( horrendous traffic) despite her having a hectic schedule. Thank you.

Reception staff were really helpful and spoke good English, room was very spacious and interesting with astonishing views of both the harbor and the plaza, breakfast simply was amazing. We also had dinner at the restaurant which was okay.

Soundproofing could be a bit better. If you’re a light sleeper, music coming from the plaza might keep you up until midnight. There was also a strange noise you could hear from our room, like someone was using a pneumatic hammer to change car tires :))

This is an amazing hotel, highly recommended. It’s located in the heart of the old town, in a historic building. I stayed there in December but the room was warm (staff provided a radiator in advance). I also booked a transfer – everything was great and on time (20 minutes to Tivat Airport). The bed was excellent, and the room was quiet. The staff was very friendly. If I visit Kotor again, I will definitely stay here!

The stay at the hotel was at a very high level. Especially, I would like to emphasise the work of the receptionist, who was always ready to help and answer all questions. The cleanliness of the rooms and the quality of breakfast was also at a high level. Breakfast is implemented by a menu system. The hotel is located in the most unique area of Kotor, so all landmarks are within walking distance. We will definitely come back:)

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful location! Very helpful staff.

Parking was a bit tricky. We called the hotel and learned how it worked so it was ultimately fine, but we wished we had been told about the parking logistics in advance. The traffic is so intense coming from Dubrovnik with the border crossing and general flow of people to Kotor that a 2.5 hour drive took us 5 hours. When we got to the hotel on the map and there was no clear parking, we accidentally ended up on a road that took us back out of town so ate lunch way outside of town rather than face the traffic again. We made the best of it, but it was a bit of a rough start to the visit.
