The room was very clean and staff was friendly. Parking has in and out privileges all day.

The pool area was not very nice or clean. Breakfast was the same everyday.

Our stay at the Grand Hotel Acores Atlantico was above and beyond our expectations! Grand Atlantico is a luxury hotel with top notch services. The staff was welcoming, friendly, polite and extremely helpful throughout our stay simply AMAZING. From the moment we arrived we felt special! They arranged all of our excursions in San Miguel, car rental, arranged our taxi to airport, and answered all our questions with helpful suggestions about Island. The Ocean View Suite overlooking the harbor was breath taking. The buffet breakfast was delicious which offered a variety of delights. The Hotel ambiance was perfect. Sometimes after a long day of excursions we would go back to the hotel lobby to relax and listen to the musical guest with a drink. The location is perfect. Walking distance to all the quaint shops and restaurants. We highly recommend the Grand Atlantico. We were impressed with their enthusiasm, professionalism, and customer service. We are already planning a trip to go back!

Very nice place, the hotel is well maintained, the staff is very helpful, room service and restaurant are good. The location is perfect, there are several quality options to have lunch or dinner and enjoy the local fresh sea-food dishes. In general, nice climate and charming Island. We enjoyed our New Year stay of one week.

A hairdryer, you should always keep the button pressed manually as it doesn't work automatically. It's quite annoying if one has a long hair.

We had a wonderful stay at Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico, a truly 5-star hotel in Ponta Delgada. The breakfast was superb, with a variety of options and fresh ingredients. The staff was resourceful and very warm and helpful, except for one lady at the reception who was a bit rude. The location is second to none, facing the marina and close to the historic center and two great bathing areas. The only downside was that some of the guests did not behave as 5-star guests, being obnoxious and not being considerate, courteous. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting São Miguel island.

We received a warm welcome from the reception staff and they were able to accommodate our request for early check-in. Our room was spacious and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable and the shower had great pressure. The dinning staff was hit and miss with the exception of Antonio who was in a league of his own. He provided excellent service, paying close attention to detail. It was a pleasure to be served by him. Buffet had a decent variety of options and was ok. We preferred the à la carte menu.

While the hotel was in a very central location which made it easy for excursions, the view of the harbour was very disappointing. The City of Ponta Delgada is very run down and needs a lot of TLC. However, the lush oasis and dramatic scenery that exists outside of the city does make up for it. Some of the dinning staff were rude and unfriendly. Very disappointing for a hotel of this calibre. They should all take Antonio’s lead who provides service above and beyond what is excepted.

Staying at Grand Hotel Açores Atlântico has been an amazing experience. My best hotel stay ever. Amazingly kind and attentive staff, they all seemed to give their best to make sure that the guests have everything they need and enjoy their stay. The hotel has an amazing location, great view to the ocean, really nice rooms, good gym, nice pool and I also really liked the bar. The value for money is just excellent. Certainly not the cheapest accommodation in Ponta Delgada but taken all into account, it has exceeded my expectations. I would go back anytime, and will definitely do so the next time I am going to the Azores.

I can mention two things but both are MINOR: 1) The bed was a bit too soft for my taste. 2) The breakfast could be a bit more diverse and changed from time to time. After a couple of mornings it could become a bit boring. But these two points didn't mean that my stay was not excellent. 10/10 points!

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel, which exceeded our expectations. The staff was friendly and professional, the breakfast had a variety of choices, the room very clean with comfortable bed and pillows. Also, the view from the balcony was nice being able to see a part of the harbour and some part the city. The valet parking was convenient. The valets would always put in the car a couple of bottles with water for us to have for the day when they they brought out the car.

The bathroom fan wasn't working very well. It would be nice if they are being checked once in a while. We didn't mention anything, since it didn't bother us much.

Exceptional service, love the valet for parking and the little bottles of water in the car when they bring back the car... apples available in the afternoon, very good quality sheets ....little things that make a big difference. The staff is amazing, great job!

Breakfast becomes boring after a few days, they should change a little bit... maybe an omelet station or something....

Loved the view of the ocean and activity going on. The room was decent size. Just like any other hotel room. The staff was very helpful and nice. They gave us fresh large beach towels to take with us every day. We would just exchange them at the front desk. They had valet service for our rent a car. We just called down and it would be waiting right out front. . Very modern interior. There was someone playing the piano at night when we would get back. Very soothing to have a drink and relax in before going to bed. I would definitely go back and stay at that hotel. I wish I had more time to spend there as our flights got cancelled on the east coast and we missed 4 days of our 8 day trip.
