Debs on reception was always on hand to help and the owners are lovely too! They run a great lodge👍 Close proximity to Batemans Bay, local shops and restaurants but more importantly, the beach! Only a short drive to others as well. Sunrise at Corrigans though was so beautiful!

There wasn't anything I didn't like about the Araluen. The Batehaven shops though caught me out a few times with their early closing, especially the Bottleshop! 8pm by the way... 😄

I have stayed here before. The room was everything I expected - clean, comfortable, well appointed with cooking equipment, parking at the door, etc. I also liked being greeted by the rather boisterous but friendly dog at reception!

It needs a little extra pizzazz to lift it from 'good' to 'exceptional' - for example, why not replace the usual standard biscuits, with some local artisan biscuits, chocolates or snack pack?

Fantastic location! right across the road from beach and kids park, walking distance to fish n chips and pizza. Easy parking on property, room was comfortable, clean and had everything you needed for a chill weekend away. Price was very reasonable, we would book again.

A sink in the living space would be great instead of having to use the bathroom sink to wash dishes, but I understand they are small rooms.

It has recently been renovated / refurbished , and it is very pleasant now (it wasn’t bad before) . Staff are very helpful .

The addition of a couple of pans and an oven would be terrific . Everything else is great . Good value .

Super cute and clean lodge in Batehaven. About 5 minutes from town, but there are plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops within walking distance (2 minutes max). They own the Italian restaurant next door and it’s delicious! There is a beach directly across the road and the pool is lovely. Would definitely stay again 🙂

Can’t fault it. Super clean, great location and even has a pool.

We had a lovely weekend away, the hotel has everything we needed. The location,access to the beach ,the outdoor pool and cleanliness of the room were fantastic. We will definitely come back again especially the staff who were so polite and accommodating.

Unfortunately there wasn't a bottle opener so we couldn't have our beers when we arrived after our long drive- probably a very simple thing to recitfy.

Room with a kitchen, queen size bed + single was perfect for us. The pool was a real bonus having our grandson with us.

Shower left water all over the bathroom floor - was concerned I might slip. a better bathmat might help. Shower fell apart. Had seen better days but was clean and suited us well.

The room has a queen bed and a small round table with two chairs. White linings which felt clean and hygienic. The bathroom is big compact. When you open the shower door, you can't open the bathroom door. They can't open at the same time. There are a shower gel and shampoo bottle mounted on the wall. It was handy.

Almost every room has a chair and table on the balcony outdoor except some room at the entrance of the step, like room 27. If the owner can put the chair and table on these rooms it will be fantastic to sit outside and enjoy the beach sightseeing.

The room was great, clean, comfy and nice to be in. The location was good there was a beach across the road.

It would be great with an updated microwave oven, and the fridge was quite loud - but you could turn it off if it bothered you.
