Great location and lovely staff make this a welcoming place to stay. Unit has all you need; really like the full kitchen. The stairs to the lovely large upstairs bedroom are indeed steep - something to be aware of. The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and is opposite the bathroom so great for older people.

The single mattress in my bedroom not great as soft on one side; however fine to sleep on - just stay in the middle:). Neighbours had an outdoor event that was a bit noisy - but to be fair, it was a Friday night and they went inside and noise quietened by 1030.

Location excellent; unit was spacious, clean and well appointed. One would be correct in saying furnishings are 'dated', but they are quite comfy and certainly sufficient. The bathroom was spotless; the full stove in the kitchen is so good to have. Everything worked as meant to be. Entryway can be off-putting as narrow and leafy; and stairs to our unit old and wooden but perfectly sound. The early check-in if still applicable does mean a very quiet evening - as no new people after 6 pm. Close to dairies and take-away food, as well as to transport to the Octagon which is only about 15 minute walk away anyway.

Not mentioned on your site when booking was the fact that check-in closed at 6 pm. In the event it was fine, as I got there in time though my colleagues couldn't get there before 8 pm from work 3 hours drive away.

It was a hidden gem, short walk to the botanical gardens. Very private lication, quiet,even though it is on one of the main roads. Birdlife in the garden. Kitchen,living area super clean and tidy,bedrooms good, apart from holes in the wall in both bedrooms from door knobs. This was a surprise because it seemed the unit had been renovated not long ago. Staff was very accommodating, we had a park close to our unit for no extra costs. Electric blankets worked! And that is not often the case in motels, I have to say. Extra points!.

Bathroom could do with a major overhaul. Facilities where kind of clean,WC, shower,washbasin great, but walls and skirtings could do with some elbow grease. End of season, Deep clean overdue.

The location was fantastic, as we could easily walk to places. The morning newspaper was a fantastic bonus, family enjoyed that. There were five of us and we had lots of room, the upstairs bedroom a little creaky but otherwise great. Clean towels and tea towels everyday was fabulous.

We liked everything. Going up to our unit was a challenge for the tall members of the family they had to remember to duck but not really a problem.

The apartment we stayed in had recently been renovated. It looked fresh and modern. Everything was clean and tidy. We were provided with a portacot for our 2 year old which was helpful (even though she refused to sleep in it!). The bed was comfy. There were 3 more beds upstairs too, so it can accommodate a lot of people.

I don't drink tea or coffee, and there were no hot chocolate/milo packets with the hot drinks. Not really much to complain about really.

This is the second stay here for us. Both stays have been awesome. The motel apartments are absolutely huge and super comfortable. Motel staff members are super nice people. Even get some milk on arrival, newspapers daily and new towels and rubbish taken from the room each day. The motel apartments are definitely dated but that goes with the Dunedin experience and the apartments have character and the comfort factor. Extremely great value for money as very affordably priced compared to other accommodation.

Very clean. Plenty of lounge seating and spacious living area. Walking distance to all activities (restaurants, uni, sports, museums and shopping.) Welcoming staff. My Uncle arrived night before, (different room), and they had a lamp on as well as heat so nice and cosy.

Extra blankets in our room (2 bedroom apartment) would have been good (borrowed the ones from my Uncles) and since the room was so large (pitched roof) the 2 small heaters only took the chill off but struggled to actually heat it.

Great place, easy to find short walk to the city, quiet.

Only problem was I had booked a two roomed apartment ( I’m 74 my son 44). I must’ve put for only person so when we arrived the lady told me she had given me a one bedroom unit. Most unfortunate and I had already paid so we had to make do. Never had this happen before as I have travelled a lot with my brother and always book 2 bedrooms. Nevertheless I will definitely book again when I go down next year as I will be solo. It is a great place, one of the best I’ve stayed in great value for money.

A nice location; a comfortable old house with many flowers and trees around it; a very big two-level apartment with multiple bedrooms (actually, for up to 5-7 guests), which would be very convenient for a family with children; a very good and fully equipped kitchen; a comfortable sofa and armchairs in the living room; a very secure parking lot; very nice and helpful staff members.

Nothing, apart from a smell of the old property and the absence of hooks in the bathroom.

Location was just right for what we wanted. Grounds were lovely and well tended without being overdone, so more homely. Apartment was spacious, really nicely furnished, beds were comfy, the place was lovely and clean.

We were in ground level apartment and were able to hear people above us thumping around and also using their toilet but I guess that can’t be helped.
