Very friendly and very helpful owners. It is super quiet and very nice place. Very good price for the accommodation and breakfast that you get. You can rent a motorbike from the place in a very good conditions!

Maybe the mattresses can be improved… If you want a resort near Alona maybe this one is a bit far away…

Unfortunately our pillows were old so they had no volume and we did find one to be covered with mould when we took the case off. Our refrigerator didn’t work.

Lovely hosts, Anna & Peter couldn’t do enough for us! Peter is a great guy & kindly gave me a ride into town to pick up some supplies on his bike, recommended some great beaches, restaurants, invited us to join him to watch the World Cup final down the pub, booked all our tours & provided us with a great tricycle guy! Nice staff! Lovely display on arrival! Pool is great! Location is good! Anna very kindly made us breakfast at 5.30am before we went on an amazing dolphin tour booked by the resort! Anna also cooked us our noodles one evening in the kitchen! I’m usually scared of dogs but Nero is the nicest dog ever & showed us a lot of love & sat with us most breakfasts & evenings! As it’s a small resort it’s very personal, quiet, nice & very easy to made friends with other guests, we exchanged numbers with 3 guests & we met up with a lovely English couple in the next destination, Siquijor as a result! The place is a hidden gym & very deceiving as from the road you can’t see anything, but once you open the door to the property it’s a really lovely place! 10/10

From the welcome on arrival to being waved off at the end, my stay here was fantastic. Considering the budget price paid for the stay , this hotel was the best value for money stop on my 3 month vacation. Anna and Peter couldn’t do enough for me, and Anna’s breakfasts were exceptional. This is a quiet hotel with a large clean pool, it’s only 15 minutes to Alona beach using a moped rented from the property, there are a couple of excellent restaurants within a mile and if you need a trike to go anywhere Peter was happy to order one for you. If I’m ever in the area again I’ll definitely return.

Beautiful place to stay. Beautiful and clean swimming pool. Beds confortable, room big and they gave amenities like shampoo, gel and conditioner, really well welcomed. Peter and his family were amazing and helped us a lot with some problems that we had. Nero (the dog) and their two cats were so nice and funny too 😁. I loved their food, really nice to eat there (that day they had tacos 🌮🤤). Really good place to stay, you feel very confortable aswell inside or outside the room.

Peter and Anna are excellent hosts that really make you feel at home. They sorted out my scooter rental, which gave me complete freedom during my 4 night stay. Furthermore, Anna’s cooking was exceptional throughout, her prawns are arguably the best I’ve ever tasted! Besides the exceptional hosts, the location is a great base for anyone wanting to explore Panglao or Bohol island; and there is a very well equipped gym 10m from the property. We feel at the resort like home away from home. Anna and Peter are fantastic hosts. They were very helpful in arranging all what we asked for. The resort is a wonderful place to relax with beautiful swimming pool, rest area and bar. You can swim almost any time of the day or night like having your own pool for yourself. Very tasty breakfasts were cooked fresh every morning. Room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. We liked the tiled floors. Air conditioner worked very well and kept our room nicely fresh and pleasantly cool. We recommend to rent scooter for your entire stay. Peter will be more the happy to arrange it. And one additional bonus of the resort is the dog named Nero (if you like dogs). He is an amazing dog. I could call him an "Einstein" of dogs because of his high IQ. Playful, smart and very friendly with guests.

Really loved staying at this B&B. Great location for exploring the island which is best done by scooter, and so happens to be a scooter hire place next door! The hosts, Peter and Anna, are really friendly and hospitable and helped with lots of local advice re best beaches to go to and places to eat. The room was massive and very comfortable sleep.

Nothing really. But it would be even better if there was a kettle in the room. I'm British and like lots of tea 😂

the owners at HIGALA resort went above and beyond to accommodate me and my husband. When I was sick, they even offered their own bed. absolutely amazing staff! The room has everything you need and was very clean. the wifi is pretty fast for SE Asia we were able to rent a motorbike with no troubles I would recommend HIGALA if you need a place to stay!

Peter was an excellent host. The resort has a nice pool, a well equipped gym (1min walk from the resort), a very friendly dog as well as super tasty breakfast. Everything was effortless and we felt at home.

Behind the resort live several cocks. they 'sing' during the whole night and we had a hard time sleeping. Bring earplugs with you.
