This place was amazing ! The locals that work here are amazing !!! So accommodating and you can see they work so hard! The pool is nice and the free ice bath is amazing too! They have yoga and meditation going on everyday which is nice also. THE VEGAN RESTAURANT IS SO GOOD !!! We ate here everyday the bolognese was the best I had it 9 times within 7 days 😅 Everything was honestly so amazing I would stay again !

There is a rude white guy who I assume is the manager/owner who speaks to the local staff with such disrespect in public for all the guests to hear… The local staff are amazing and don’t deserve this. He needs to change his attitude for sure.

The staff was really kind!! The common areas are amazing with the pool

The room was very hot because there was only one fan. The bath is shared between 2 rooms

Just about everything. The food is to die for. If you've never had local vegan Filipino food, you are in for a treat. Everyone is extremely pleasant. But Ace is the best. Not only is he very kind but the boy can sing! And if you've never done an ice bath, this is the place to do it. They have a full size ice bath that they clean regularly. Also, if yoga is your thing, they have a beautiful studio above the bar. I will definitely be back.

Okay my only complaint. They do have chickens on the grounds. So if you are a light sleeper like me, make sure you have a couple of drinks or a sleep aid to get you through the cockadoodle doos!

What an amazing place - the staff is extremly helpful- the place so cozy - you can join yoga classes every day - freediving as well - restaurant is very very good and prices are extremly fair - ex beer 70 pesos - it’s so cozy - you can join the social life by the pool if you want - a quiet place - book a scooter/tours can be made here - good rooms - aircon is good too

Too many roosters very close - they start around 2 am - you’ll get a bit more used to it after some days…

The staff were very friendly and helpful. They arranged a tricycle driver for me for a day and gave me some quotes for tours. The pool is nice and refreshing. It's a chilled hostel. There's an onsite restaurant but it only serves vegan food. The food was actually quite nice and not too expensive. There are restaurants around the area that serve meat though. It's not far from white beach. They provide free water refills if you ask at the restaurant. I really enjoyed my stay here

It was incredibly hot in the dorm rooms with only 2 fans. There was cold water only in the shower. The bathroom is shared between 2 adjoining rooms, so people often forget to unlock both doors, so you have to knock on the wall to ask them to unlock your door to the bathroom. No toiletries or towels are provided. It was fairly clean, they clean the toilet and emptied the bin every day but the floor got a little sandy, so maybe they could sweep every day as well

Really nice facilities: the rooms are very cozy, there's swimming pool, great bar area, etc. Staff are friendly, and so were the guests. There are three newborn kittens and their cat mom living in the reception area which are adorable. About a 10 minute walk to White Beach and from there you can walk along the sand to Dumaluan Beach. They offer activities like freediving courses and yoga classes. Great value for the price.

Kind of far from Alona Beach if you don't drive a motorbike (more than 1 hour walk). No lockers in the shared rooms or privacy curtains on the beds. There was nowhere to plug in my phone near the bed. Bathroom was rundown and a bit dirty, especially the walls. The bathroom was also shared with the dorm room next door so you had to remember to lock both doors in the bathroom or someone from the other room could walk in while you were in there. Lots of little dead bugs in the pool. I wasn't given the wifi password but a girl in my dorm said the wifi didn't really work in the room anyway.

Almost everything was good, except for some disadvantages.

The noisy company had a party at the pool after its closure (btw the pool closes at 10 pm as per the personnel’s notice, we were waken up at 3am by the crowd having the party at the pool, and we did not sleep till 5). No one from the hotel’s administration did nothing to stop it. That was a really frustrating experience. Also it would be great to have a fridge. We knew it was not there, so it did not influence the total score, but still, it’s a kind of need, let it be with the higher price.

In Panglao Chocolate Hills Resort is really friendly staff. Great mattress for us (harder). All resort is nice. They have free meditation (on the beach) and yoga classes (in resort) every morning (donation possible). You can hire scooter, take freediving classes or course and rent neccessary gear. Few minutes walking to the White beach. And there is a great vegan restaurant in resort with tasty meals (I am not vegan). We will come back.

We would appreciate hangers for towels and wet clothes. We couldn't turn on light in bathroom until we turn on light in room. And sometimes the electricity went out so we can't get hot shower. But it was so hot we appreciate cold shower. :D

Came here for the free yoga class in the morning. They also have a afteroon yoga class, which is great! Loved the fact that the in house restaurant is vegan. Great smoothie bowls, chickpea pasta and delicious desserts. A 10 min walk to White beach (shallow) and a 10-12 min drive to Alona beach. Quiet and relaxing place with sun chairs and a pool. They also do movie nights! Very friendly staff.

The shower could be a bit cleaner in the dorms and an extra fan for the upper bunkbed as it got a bit too hot on warm days.
