The staff were very friendly. Bed was very comfortable, nice hot shower and good black out curtains.

Car parking was expensive at £15 a night so managed to park on the road further away. I appreciate that it was free if booked directly but would still worked out more expensive. Lots of condensation on the windowsill in the morning. I also forgot my shampoo/conditioner of which there wasn’t any in the bathroom containers.

If you are looking for just a short stay or even longer break The Waterfront hotel is very clean and spacious set out on several levels with twin lift service to all floors, (Please Note, keep your key card in your pocket as this is also your security lift pass key) As a disabled traveller i found no problems getting around in the hotel it is very spacious throughout the hotel, the lounges, restaurant and bar areas including the restrooms are all easy to access, Even by Speed-demons in wheelchairs if necessary Lol Its great to see a hotel that has really made the effort to cater for its disabled guests WELL DONE Waterfront +++++ I also think your dog friendly policy is lovely, not only for the owners but also the other guests who had great pleasure in petting the other dogs (I think the odd mince pie did help) The staff were great and really made us feel welcome right from the start of our stay, Whether it was, from ordering taxis to regularly topping up my tea, milk & sugar supplies late at night, The staff were always at hand to help My Brother and myself had booked from 23rd-27th December for the Christmas holiday complete with Christmas dinner (which was exceptional) Our room was a twin bed with full temp control heating (Plenty of Hot Water!) Full tea/coffee making facility (and if you do run short the reception staff are only too pleased to let you have more) Full choice of Breakfast served from 8am-11am Good choice of bar foods, snacks, pizza etc served in bar lounge Choice of full evening dinners also available (booking may be advisable) The Lounge and bar area was very comfortable with ample seating and easy access to restroom areas and lifts Our 3 course Christmas dinner was served beautifully laid out on tables overlooking the water with amazing views across the wildfowl nature reserve. All in all, our stay has been fantastic and I will stay at the Waterfront again in the near future.

Breakfast. It has improved. Could provide a better choice for cooked items. Also, you have to get your own tea and coffee. Not a problem, but it would be really nice if this was brought to the table freshly made. Negates the need to try and get a coffee cup, jug, milk jug etc to your table. Plus, it provides the opportunity for staff to interface with clients - just a nice touch. Car parking. £15 / night. Car is safe and convenient, but this is expensive. Stayed 4 nights. Soon mounts up. Perhaps do an offer for longer stays?

Good choice of breakfast. I am vegan and there was a variety of non dairy milk available as well as some cereal, fruit and toast. Great location, lovely bar area and outside terrace. Clean and spacious room. Comfortable bed and great shower.

The window in our room was broken. No option of non dairy milk in the room to use with the tea/coffee. Hotel parking is expensive. We parked on the car park next to the hotel for less than half the price.

Fab place nice rooms our superior on the 5th floor had a view of the lake. The outdoor roof terrace at the bar was nice to enjoy drinks & relaxation out in the sun on deckchairs or seats. Great sunset too. Staff went above & beyond to see you had what you needed for a nice time away too. Will return for sure.

Parking £15 so leave your car outside their underground parking for £4.50 overnight seems safe to.

Breakfast was great! Loved that the allergens were all specifically listed on each individual item on the buffet breakfast hot counter, more places need to do that! Lovely and quiet in the hotel while in rooms and while having breakfast, it was just a nice relaxed atmosphere the whole time we were there! Nice friendly staff. Great shops/food joints within walking distance of the hotel. Had a great night's sleep, bed was comfortable. Shower is fantastic!!

Need to specify where the car park is for the hotel as there's no directions for it (it's underneath the hotel, drive round to the right of the hotel) Only 1 plug socket between the beds. Maybe some softer bedding? Sink in the bathroom was almost completely blocked, not a major issue for us though, just something to fix.

Lovely location with views over the lake and sea beyond. The rooms are large, the beds comfortable and it was nice to have two easy chairs and a table in the window. The breakfast used good quality ingredients and there was plenty of choice. All the staff we interacted with, were helpful and attentive. The little gym was a bonus. We understood there is an arrangement with the Leisure Centre across the road which we might have taken up had we been staying longer.

The room when we arrived was decidedly chilly and no amount of fiddling with the control would warm it up. This was rectified the next day. The breakfast on the first day was lukewarm bordering on cold, apparently due to the heated water under the serving dishes not being hot enough. This was again rectified on the second day. Overnight parking under the hotel at £15 per night is steep.

Our room was upgraded, the views across the lake to the sea were spectacular. Plenty of space in the room, super king bed with really good quality bed linen, feather duvet and pillows. The hotel was modern and clean, enclosed parking with easy access to the all floors of the hotel. The staff were excellent, warm, friendly and efficient. Superb breakfast offering, the restaurant and lounge area very attractive. The location was superb, few minutes walk to Lord street and the train station and the promenade walks. We had a lovely stay at the hotel and will return.

We ate in the hotel on the first night and found the menu and food a little disappointing. This would not stop us returning as there are plenty of options for food within a few minutes walk.

We've stayed here before, so the fact that we returned speaks for itself really. The location is wonderful, brilliant views of the Lake, park and wonderful suspension bridge etc., and only a few hundred yards walk from town centre. The place is clean and comfortable. Our room had a great view. There is a well-stocked bar and all the comforts of a large, modern hotel.

As with all such large, modern hotels, the breakfast is a self-service system. It is well-stocked and works very well, but as so often with these things, the 'hot' food is lukewarm. It would be such an improvement if the equipment keeping the food hot worked better.

Ronda deserves high praise for being most helpful and friendly when we arrived on a cold wet rainy evening. The kitchen cancelled our dinner reservation as there was a fault in the kitchen. Ronda helped us with sourcing a nearby restaurant that was opened on Sunday night and gave a really nice bedroom. The first bedroom did not have an aircon that worked but she got us another room. Cannot praise her enough.

In our room the small loo flush did not work but the big one did although it needed a deal of strength to activate the long flush. Breakfast was only average each day. Car park was £15 per day but it was necessary to ensure the car was close by.
