The decorations were nice, the room was nicely furnished and the facilities were quite pleasant. It's only a few minutes walking from several bus routes and twenty minutes by car from the airport, but the surrounding neighborhood is still quiet and pleasant. Wi-Fi works great and the lounge and garden are quite nice.

The place is pretty old, which means it will have accessibility problems for anyone who is affected by that. There are not very many rooms on the ground floor, and carrying a suitcase up and down the stairs could be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues, since for obvious reasons they can't put in an elevator. This isn't really a criticism of the facility, just an acknowledgment of its age and the fact that it may not suit everyone as a result.

For me, it was perfect. Its a 40 min walk to the main center or 20 min bus ride. For me the 30 min bus ride to the airport was important as my flight was in the morning and I need to be there by 6am. 10 min walk to the bus stop going to the airport. There are bars and restaurants near the area for some good eats and fun. The closest attraction was the Botanical gardens and a cemetary with museum and tour. The Botanical gardens was nice even in winter. Friendly staff. Irish breakfast was always good and buffet style. My room was fantastic as I was a solo traveler and I got the dorm room with my own washroom all to myself. I will come back here again. Price is good compared to the main center.

Honestly, the location can be an issue if its your first time in Dublin and would want to be closer to the main center. This is my 2nd time in Dublin so I dont care much for the craziness in the main center. I did go there to do some shopping and easily bus back to the guesthouse with my haul. The covers on the bed do have stains and might need updating. And the carpets might need some washing. I walk barefeet in my room so my feet were a bit dirty afterwards.

Very nice and comfy ambience just what we were looking for. Preferred the quiet location instead of the down town hustle and didn't mind to walk back and forth to the city center which took us about 30 min. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. Size of room was ok for two persons, didn't need anything bigger.

Temperature of water in shower changed every 10 sec from hot to cold. Assume it was due to other guests taking shower at the same time, as it happened mostly in the evening and not in the morning or afternoon. Room was well cleaned, but beds could have been made up with more care .

The property is strategically located and just a few mins walk to National Botanic Garden and bus stops. There is GoCar nearby too if you want to drive around. We like the decorations and the homely vibes of the hotel. It feels like home where we can just rilex at the lounge area and chitchatting with other guests. The room service was excellence, even though we didnt ask for the room services they came and clean the room and change the towels everyday. The staffs are the heart of the hotel. Elizabeth, Irma and Alex you guys are very helpful and makes our stay memorable and you helps us with everything we need.

Great location. Easy 10 minute walk to bus stop for Dublin City. Quiet area, spotlessly clean and good heating. Very nice and clean bathroom.Great garden area at centre of complex. The best aspect of the property were the staff, in particular, Elizabeth on the front desk. We have never met anyone in the service industry as sweet, friendly, warm and helpful as Elizabeth. On our first visit to Dublin, Elizabeth enabled us to effortlessly acclimatise and transition to this location with insights that otherwise might have caused us problems.

Not actually a dislike….more a necessary adjustment, but the room was a little small and tight for manoeuvring. Also,as we were on the ground floor, foot traffic from the room above sounded very loud. Not much can be done with older buildings as they don’t have the subfloor insulation common in modern buildings.

Our room was small but cozy. We were pleased with how clean the room was when we first arrived, and housekeeping did make up our beds each day of our stay, which we had not expected. I was also impressed by how quiet our room was. Perhaps there was no one else staying in the surrounding rooms, but we didn't hear anything and were able to sleep well.

The shower was too small. I'm thin and only 167cm tall, but even I had trouble maneuvering in the shower. The room itself was also a bit small for three people. We had to dance around each other or take turns getting ready while the other two sat on the beds to stay out of the way.

The staff was incredibly accomodating to our large group. We were able to store our over 30 bags in an office while our rooms were being prepared for our party of 12. The rooms were a nice size but there is a number of stairways to get to some of them. The location was a short 10-15 walk to several pubs and grocery stores and only 10-15 minute taxi ride to most tourist destinations.

The showers in the rooms could have been a little bigger although to be fair we did have someone in our party who is 6' 8" but they were well maintained just a little enclosed (glass on all four sides with a corner door) for our group's taste.

The location was excellent, Every member of staff was pleasant , welcoming and accommodating I didn't get names however the lady on reception ,long dark hair was extremely helpful and honestly so nice , also the dining room staff couldn't do enough . Our room was cleaned daily with fresh towels also . We were fortunate to have great weather while there so the garden was a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine

To be honest I can't fault this place at all , if I was pushed to have a negative all I'd have is the shower was somtimes tricky

Found this hotel excellent value for money in a city not known for being the most budget friendly in the world, Ensure room was Clean, omfortable and a decent size., there is also a nice lounge on each floor, staff were very friendly and helpful, The hotel iis in a nice quiet residential area but only 10 mins away by regular bus service into the ciry centre, there are also a few decent shops and pubs within easy walking distance

If i had to be critical, i mabe thought €15 was a little expensive for breakfast, having said thatt the breakfast was filling and enjoyable and as I previously said room rate was excellent value for money which rather counteracts the breakfast price

The location is a nice quiet street / area in north Dublin - near the train station of Drumcondra (10-15 minute walk) where it is one stop to Connolly Station in Dublin CC; check out is 11; there was ample tea and coffee; there are 2 lovely relaxing areas (like drawing rooms) - very pleasant surroundings...

The TV is crazy - someone needs to just sit down, and organise it (delete the numerous 'empty channels' etc) and write down for the guests which numbers correspond with which channels; there was NO shower mat - I had to use my handtowel to mop up the floor; I really thought hotels had done away with the mean-looking (small) single beds...
