Very very friendly and homely Short walk to a good pub (Vic), Long walk (but walkable for the hardy) to another famously good pub (Hunters) Ideal location, especially if you like caving I needed to leave extremely early in the morning and they could accommodate that for us

The location - very good for walking in the area. Reasonable choice of breakfast, but not much choice for non-cooked option. The en-suite room is outside the main building and at ground level.
The descriptions on Booking.com don't give the full information - there is on site parking, there is also good WiFi. Also, Booking.com says pay at the property. However, as soon as the booking was made, I was asked to pay. When I queried this, I was told that I could pay in cash at the property, or pay in advance via a secure system

I felt very welcome and was assured anything that I needed, all I needed to do was ask. I don't usually go for shared bathroom facilities. It wasn't a problem at all and I would consider shared bathrooms again in future. The breakfast was lovely and it set me up for the entire day!
Saying I "didn't like" seems to sell this B&B short. I am a light sleeper and this is obviously a busy household which I applaud. It felt alive. So my only negative is I woke up early when I could have done with another few hours. Easy remedy - bring ear plugs, simple.

The bed was amazingly comfy, the room was clean, bright and welcoming, with a lovely view. The proprietors were kind, friendly and very helpful. The dining area was lovely and the breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of foods to enjoy.
The bathroom could do with updating, but the price was so reasonable that l would book there again without any hesitation and have recommended it to my cycling friends who are planning to go back and do a sightseeing break, rather than a cycling weekend.

Beautiful little village between Wells and Cheddar. Lovely old fashioned B&B with a REALLY good breakfast and very friendly staff. I had my two dogs with me too and they made them feel very welcome too. Lots of lovely walks nearby also.

A warm welcome - friendly and helpfull hostess. Very comfortable bed, very good facilities, great breakfast, great location and even a brilliant pub in walking distance down the road. Quiet night in peaceful countryside.
The shared bathroom might not suit some, but was fine for us. An alternative loo might be good for if someone was having a long shower.

Chris and her husband were wonderful hosts, nothing too much trouble for them and full of insight and local knowledge. Room was comfortable and well appointed, clean and tidy. Nice touch with the dvd and VHS in the room for when the weather isn't the best(this is England afterall) The Queen Vic is about 2 mins walk away good people and good food and beer also. We will be back to visit again in the near future
