The location of the property is fantastic—conveniently close to local shops, the charming village of Cheddar, and popular attractions like the famous caves. Check-in was an absolute standout and truly the highlight of our stay. The warm, welcoming experience had a memorable and personal touch. We were delighted to find a thoughtful welcome letter in our room, accompanied by complimentary snacks and drinks—such a wonderful gesture! Special mention goes to Monny at reception, who was exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. His impeccable customer service made all the difference, and he is a true asset to the team at The Bath Arms.

The bed was unfortunately uncomfortable, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Dinner service, however, was excellent. Monny, who was also on reception earlier, impressed us again by managing the bar and taking our orders—his versatility and dedication were fantastic. A friendly gentleman brought out our meals, adding to the warm atmosphere. The fish and chips were good, though not outstanding. On the other hand, the chicken breast was flavorful and well-cooked, though it leaned a bit too much on the salty side.

Our room was very clean and the bed was large and really comfy. The shower was nice and hot. The staff were kept very busy and were all very hardworking - everything ran like clockwork. They were very helpful with good knowledge of the area and its history. The food was lovely - full english breakfasts, evening meals and the Christmas day meal was 5 courses and was all delicious. The location was perfect and is just around the corner from the Gorge. We had a fantastic Christmas there and will return again in the summer.

The main front door to the bar was below our room and had a tendency to bang and vibrate the room everytime someone left or came in, but once the tv in the room was on it wasn't a huge problem.

Lovely place close to the Cheddar Gorge and Caves. Made feel very welcome by staff (Kate) nothing was a problem. The room was lovely if a little warm but it was hot weather. Lovely old building with a historic feel about it. The food was very good and I thought breakfast was great. The full English was excellent and the following morning I had the best eggs Florentine I have ever had with soft and runny eggs and a lovely hollandaise sauce. Top marks!

The kids on motorbikes without baffles was a bit intrusive. Up and down the main street in front of the hotel. Mind you I probably didi it myself when I was that age.

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pub/restaurant area is so cosy and welcoming. The bedrooms were good too with big and comfortable beds. We ate in the restaurant on one of the evenings we were there and the food was delicious, would recommend the pork belly!!

The only thing I would say is our bathroom could get quite cold at times as the rooms seem to have very old windows (which can’t be replaced because the hotel is in a conservation area). However the heating was turned on in the evenings so the bedroom was warm enough.

Very good location to visit both Gorge and local eateries. Very good quality food in restaurant, delicious breakfast, great atmosphere in the bar/lounge area, lots of friendly and well-behaved dogs with their owners in the lounge area, lots of features and old pictures from local area on display, 2 outdoor areas. Has spacious free carpark. Very friendly members of staff, always ready to help.

Rooms are in historical building in the middle of the old cheddar village. Of course, it has some limitations in the upkeep of the rooms: windows are made of wood, lots of features that are neusance in 21st century. Occasional teenage racers with loud music from their cars passing in the evening. But earplugs available for sensitive ears.

The food was excellent, from the sandwich at lunch to the meal in the evening. The room we were staying in was comfortable, clean & spacious, check in was a breeze The complimentry items were good as well tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, peanuts, and jelly babies!

The room was very comfortable, but the position of the tv was a bit of an issue. It was high up on the wall to the left of the bed not on the wall at the end of the bed So you had to watch it lying on your side. Also the shower/bath could really do with a hand rail to help you get in/out or a rubber mat to give extra grip.

We liked EVERYTHING about this hotel. The staff were polite, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The beer was served at the correct temperature, the menu was varied and the food was cooked to perfection both at dinner and breakfast. The room, "Little Robin," had every facility you'd expect and was spotlessly clean. Jacqui, the owner, was a great source of local information and told us some terrific places to go. Thanks, Jacqui, you were spot on!

There was NOTHING to dislike about this hotel. It was far and away the best hotel we've stayed at....out of very many.

Dinner in the restaurant was excellent, we ate there twice and was not disappointed- great chef! Breakfast cooked to order, fruit juice and cereals available also fresh fruit so, all good. The was room spacious (Firewitch) bed comfortable. Sparkling and fresh water bottles replaced each day along with a selection of nibbles. Branded handcream, shower gel and shampoo readily available, clean towels. Excellent location for Cheddar Gorge, just a 10 mins walk from the hotel. Ample safeparking and friendly efficient staff.

The property was a 5 minute walk to Cheddar gorge with its caves, walks, shops, pubs and cafes. It is a beautiful building with lots of character. We were welcomed in by the manager who made us feel like dignitaries. We can say whole heartedly we haven’t received such a warm and detailed introduction to a hotel. The rooms were immaculately clean . Being an old building there was a little flaky paint in areas, but with such beautiful and comfortable surroundings, this wasn’t a problem. Breakfast service was efficient and very tasty.

Beautiful property, great location to the Gorge, with 5mins you’re at the centre of the village and 2 mins away from a Tesco local if you need anything small. Loads of parking on site and lovely outside seating. The rooms are nicely decorated and well thought out and home some nice little touches. They include all the amenities you would need.

Nothing really not to like, just the rooms need a little tlc, a touch up on flaking paint etc. Our bathroom was nice and very big, but the shower felt like it was going to overflow out of the shower tray and the tiles by the entrance to the shower had sunk and moved. Slightly hazardous.
