The staff were welcoming and helpful, the young girl on reception booked a taxi for us when we needed it and the girl on breakfast duty filled my water bottle without any bother. The bar staff were friendly and chatty. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The choice of food was really good, very tasty and well presented.

I'd probably take my own pillow next time as the one provided was a bit too plump. Apart from that everything else was great.

The staff are, without a doubt, the biggest asset to this hotel, followed by great food and lovely immaculately clean rooms. We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception who was so helpful, and the restaurant staff were knowledgeable and happy, providing a fab service. The rooms were beautifully clean, and the housekeeping team was equally friendly. Location is great for Arundel. You could drive or walk into the castle/town.. Would definitely recommend it for a weekend break :)

The hotel is situated in a good location. Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel very comfortable. A gentleman called Lewis who served us the food was extremely friendly and helpful and very pleasant. Food was amazing.

There wasn't anything I didn't like

It was such a great hotel ... We only stayed at the White Swan for one evening and found it exceeded our expectations. We were greeted by very efficient staff throughout the whole hotel. Our room was very comfortable with twin beds and all the added trimmings of coffee, tea and biscuits. Free onsite parking and wifi. Make sure you have a meal in the restaurant and try the cold ales in the bar, you won't be disappointed. We would definitely stay here again.

Staff were eager to please and Josh in particular made us feel very welcome.

Early morning traffic noise from the busy main road plus a morning 'dawn chorus' of birdsong ensured very little sleep. There's also a field behind the hotel that holds cattle who added their own version of the dawn chorus by 'mooing' every half hour after the birds had finished! This made sleep really difficult. The location is charming but double or triple glazing would help. Had we been staying longer than 2 nights then a room change might have been the answer. Shower head was faulty in room 21 but the bath was a bonus.

Some of the communal areas are a little tired.

Lovely clean room. Really comfy bed. Free water and good tea/coffee tray.

The bathroom fans are very noisy. Could hear next door’s going off and on. Dual-purpose soap/shampoo good for being eco-friendly but inadequate for my needs. Would advise taking all toiletries - shampoo, conditioner, moisturiser etc.

The location is close to Arundel town. The bedroom is well decorated. Parking lot is well-lit and CCTV’ed. The hotel is right by the main road but it is not noisy at all, particularly at night.

As the hotel is by a main thoroughfare, exiting the hotel to join the main road can be a dangerous endeavour as motorists tend to drive rather fast along this road as it curves past the hotel. I think traffic-calming measures are necessary along this stretch of road.

Great food, great beer and food the staff to be very friendly. In the morning, I asked for advice on the best direction to take on my morning run, Chris was very helpful, took my outside to show me the best way to go and came to ask how it was whilst I was eating breakfast.

Not a lot, if I had to be super picky, the shower pressure was a little bit on the low side.
