The check in process at the bar was easy and the lady who checked us in was really lovely and gave us all the information we needed. The room was a really decent size with all the facilities we needed. The sink in the room was helpful for brushing teeth before bed. The shared bathroom is all you need for a night's stay - one toilet and sink facility and then a second larger bathroom with toilet, sink and bath/shower. Great wi-fi! We chose The Ship Inn because of its price and its convenience for commuting to The O2 (the walk was only 10 mins from Island Gardens DLR and then a change at Canary Wharf to the Jubilee Line to get to North Greenwich!).

Not much but: 1) Other reviews have mentioned this but the carpet in the room really could do with replacing. Whilst it's probably 'clean' the stains and marks give it the appearance that it isn't and I opted to keep socks on the whole time! 2) The bed wasn't the comfiest. Me and my friend both said we struggled with sleep as the bed wasn't particularly comfy. Despite that, for the price, I really cannot say any more than that!

Chose this pub for its location to my daughters place while we were visiting. A 10 minute walk from the LDR or a 10 minute bus ride from Canary Wharf. The staff were really friendly on our arrival. We stayed in the bar for the evening, probably too long :) tried the pizzas which were very good and were treated well. The room was a fair size, the bed was comfortable and we never had to wait for the shared bathroom in the morning.

Very spacious and comfortable room. Lots of facilities in my room - hairdryer, fridge, toaster, coffee machine, iron and ironing board, desk and chairs, plenty of mirrors, sink. Super comfy bed. Easy access to the shared (separate) toilet and bathroom facilities - all very clean. Just three bedrooms so no problem getting access to the shared facilities. Lovely welcome by the staff in the pub downstairs. Easy access when the pub was shut. Just 30 min pleasant walk along the waterside to Canary Wharf tube station. Even closer to the Thames pathway.

The room was nice, bed was enormous and had all facilities such as kettle, toaster and coffee machine. had your own little fridge. Bathroom which was shared was nice. Staff/Cleaners were very nice and welcoming. Happy to answer about a million questions we had about london since we had never been before.

There was a lot of items broken when we arrived such as TV and some fixtures. Could not use wardrobe. Breakfast was disappointing as only got given couple slices of bread and a jar of cornflakes which tasted like they had been there for a while. Bathroom was nice but shower was not great, as it kept turning off or going cold. Had to have a member of staff come and take a look and had to wait for boiler to be switched on etc. After a long and tiring day you dont want to be doing that.

I booked a while ago and reviews at the time were mentioning grumpy and rude check in. All changed now and we were warmly welcomed and our two bags were carried upstairs to our room for us. Room spacious and had a sink and a fridge. Continental breakfast supplied which was adequate. One other room occupied (there's only 3) so shared bathroom no problem. Nice pizza downstairs.

There are 2 flights of stairs, just saying. Room a little bit hot and a little bit of road noise but both bearable. Price is fair and we would stay again

Welcome at the bar for check-in was very friendly. The room was a little 'tired' but clean. Bed very comfortable with lovely fluffy duvet. Shared toilet and bathroom clean and well stocked. Food in the bar is exceptional.

Only gripe I have is the lack of a pillow. Three small cushions on the bed for decoration, but no pillow!

Local pub offering basically three rooms for stay, so be aware this is not an hotel, but the room is still very good. Comfortable room, breakfast in room, helpful staff and well located, close to the DLR and the pier.

Shared shower so you may have to wait (you know what you paid for). Luckily with only 3 rooms it won't take too much of a wait. Steps to the rooms, no elevator. Don't bring heavy luggage here unless you want a good workout, also obivously not accessible. (Just one floor though). Service is limited to pub opening times.

It was nice to come to the hotel after a busy day and have a beer in a pub. Pretty authentic place to stay in, enjoyed the atmosphere. The room and facilities were clean, products for breakfast (really abundant one) were in the room, as well as a mini fridge and coffee machine. The place is a real value for money

It was pretty noisy in the evening, but for me personally it was not a problem at all. Probably it's natural to expect booking a room in such a place

Easy check-in and check-out process. The room had everything I needed including breakfast, coffee maker (Nespresso style), toaster, fridge, room heater and fan. The staff at the Front Desk and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. I didn't get the chance to try the Pizzas at the bar/restaurant, though I could smell it along the corridors upstairs. I hear they are quite good and well-known in the area. Will have to go back sometime to try it. 😊

1. The TV remote control was not working, so I had to manually turn the TV on and off, switch channels, volume control, etc. The remote control itself seems to be "working" as it had Duracell batteries in them, with the lights flashing on the on/off button on the remote, but the remote control is not synched with the TV, both were of different brands. 2. Also, the room could use a small waste paper basket. 3. The bathroom could use an anti-slip rubber floor mat and bath mat, etc. One floor mat on the floor next to the bathtub, and maybe one in the bathtub itself.

Great pub near Island Gardens. Open late, so you can enjoy a drink after you've been out. Lively varied crowd, decent pizzas, welcoming atmosphere. Good location if you're out in the East of London. I was at the Troxy, good transport connections. Would also be good for Greenwich.

Jaded but that's OK. Good for a short stay. Shared facilities. Only 3 rooms so not much waiting to use them. Top floor, so not suitable for people with restricted abilities.
