Better than a resort. It feels like a combination of a resort and a beautiful Mexican hacienda home. There aren’t too many rooms so you don’t feel like you’re in a huge hotel or resort. You wake up to a delicious breakfast prepared Mexican style and if you feel like being social you can chat with other lovely families while enjoying you’re breakfast by the pool. Property is super well maintained and rooms are super clean and spacious. That’s place really has everything you need. A Pool, jacuzzi, bbq area, pond with turtles, and it’s pet friendly!! You can also walk to local restaurants or the plaza just a couple blocks away where you’ll find a pharmacy, day care and even Pilates classes. There’s also a beach that the locals walk to that is not full of tourists. Love that this place is situated in a very nice and safe neighborhood The owner really has done an amazing job with this B&B and we’re so glad we found it!

I liked the pool and hot tub (not hot), the privacy of a villa, the room was big and had a kitchen which I didn’t expect. The breakfast was fantastic and of plenty with hot food plus fruits every day.

If you don’t have a phone plan, the front door is locked and there’s no way to reach anyone. There’s a doorbell up high but no sign so I didn’t even see it, and was pounding on the door for over half an hour. The guests told me a bunch of things that the owners didn’t, like that I could use the kitchen, how to use the hot tub, that their are alligators out the back yard and there no fence, that’s there’s extra sun screen and things if I need. I don’t understand why the owner didn’t tell me anything including the wifi, you need to give guests all of the information.

Virgilio was a very charming and interesting host. Everyone of the kitchen and cleaning staff were wonderful people. Very helpful and a pleasure to be around. The property was small and that is the type of trip I was looking for this vacation. Did not want the noise of the all inclusive hotel pool. It felt like your own property when not everyone had checked in yet. Very relaxing and we enjoyed the coffee, fruit and breakfast each morning. We felt very safe and the location was perfect for walking to restaurants in the neighborhood.

We don't really have any negatives to complain about.

Th property is old style charming with much thought given to small details. Plenty of inviting rooms and nooks in which to sit and relax. The room we slept in was very clean and comfortable with everything we might need. The water pressure in the shower was awesome - quite the massage. And the grounds outside were beautiful and tranquil with gorgeous tall trees and a wide variety of other plants surrounding the pool and hot tub. The covered deck surrounding the house along the back and the many thatched umbrellas above tables at the back of the property gave guests many options of where to sit and socialize or to find a quiet spot for solitude.

A lovely hot breakfast with fresh fruit and juices freshly prepared daily. It has a lovely pool and peaceful grounds. Kind and hard working staff. The basic kitchen with a very cold fridge was a bonus! The holiday felt like a true escape. Hope I get a chance to stay there again in the future because it was simply wonderful.

There are a handful of good restaurants nearby, but not much shopping or supermarkets within a short walking distance with the closest being about a 20 minute walk away. This was not an issue for us and it actually helped create the feeling of escape, but I think its useful to know ahead of time.

The rooms are large and have a nice kitchenette, comfortable king size bed and great shower. The backyard is beautiful with tons of plants, trees and flowers and a lovely pool. Walkable to restaurants, wine store, pharmacy and OXXO (7-11 type store) Breakfast was amazing- certainly didn’t need lunch, so def cost savings there.

Mosquitoes, but we went in July, rainy season so it would have been the same at any other location (and mosquitoes love me)

The provided breakfast was excellent. The room was spacious and very comfortable. The outdoor amenities were extremely enjoyable. There was enough space for everyone to be able to relax and enjoy the area.

With such a large kitchenette, we were disappointed that there wasn't a hot plate to be able to cook for ourselves. One of the reasons we chose the place was because we saw the large refrigerator. We like to prepare some meals for ourselves but weren't able to do that very well without a hot plate.

This is a great place to stay. We found it while looking for a place to spend a couple of days while some work was being done on our house nearby. The house is very typical Mexican decor and nicely done. The room we stayed in was just perfect for our needs. It was pet friendly, which was important because we traveled with one of our dogs this trip. Sr. Virgilio is a great host. We had multiple opportunities to sit and converse with him, and he even personally made us breakfast one of the mornings during our stay. I would highly recommend Casa Virgilio's B&B. It is close to the public beach and multiple restaurants that we like to frequent, so the location was perfect.

The room we stayed in lacked good lighting to be able to work in the room, but that would not keep me from going back again in the future.

The location is beautiful! It’s located in a very calm and natural environment: you will even see some crocodiles on the other side of the river and a cute little turtle in the garden. The room is spacious and it’s very quite but still close to some nice restaurants. But what stood out for us the most was the kind staff. They even helped us to ship my forgotten shoes to our next location in Mexico. Very friendly of them! We can only recommend staying here!

This property has a wonderfully relaxing ambiance that comes from Virgilio himself to start with and then also from the staff and customers, many of whom seem to be regular guests. Breakfast is served outdoors and is a great opportunity to meet fellow guests, swap tales of where to go and generally share our varied (mostly Canadian) backgrounds and make new friends. Although we have previously travelled from Britain to this area of Mexico five times we previously stayed in all inclusive hotels and much prefer Casa Virgilios as a base as you can try local restaurants and explore more.

Its a long flight from England but well worth it to get to this wonderful part of Mexico. Nothing that needs changing at the Casa. It is a wonderful plave to stay.
