A very good place to spend overnight after a long hiking trip. It was possible to take a bath to relax the body - a big sento area for the entire group. Liked the Japanese-styled environment of the room.

Wi-Fi was not available on the second floor, so I needed to go down to the lobby to use it.

This is a great place if you have a car and go with your spouse or partner. The bus and train last time is 5:15. So you will be at trouble if you do not reach before that. But the owner offered us a ride to the cave. We liked it. Japanese style home stay. Very quiet, nice, near to the kawaguchiko and the caves. very nice location. If you want raw Japanese rural experience, this property is very good to stay.

Being a foreigner, when called to the property, the only reply was, 'no English'. And the train and bus last time is 5:15. if you don't have a car consider checking in very early and reaching the place before 5pm. Plan very accordingly. And the only communicating options are through message. Phone call for foreigners will not be helpful if you don't know Japanese.

The stay location was near the bus stop at a walkable distance if you reach before 5 or so since no buses available after everning.

I felt the host response was not quite well. There was no drinking water available, and bathroom was in a separate connected building which was not very convenient and it was common for both men and women. wifi service is not provided here.

Location and ease of access very good. The rooms were well equipped with plenty of heaters and extra blankets. The Onsen was lovey albeit a shares space though it was possible to lock the door thus make it private (not sure this would be appreciated if it had been busier)

It is a little worse for wear. Obviously at one time this guesthouse would have been absolutely delightful, and there was certainly nothing dangerous, but the floors and rooms are in need of repair. Also other guests were noisy at times though not for extended periods.

The location is pretty close to the hiking trail and the huge bathtub is very nice.

It’s in general pretty dirty and there were no bed sheets at all. The worst part that people are smoking right at the “reception” at the common space and the smell goes up inside poorly insulated rooms. And it seems that the host is ok with it.
